Lovely place right on the coast. Clean and comfortable. Full kitchen! and a fireplace (I didn't use.) I was in a ground level on the end....very quiet and view of the ocean. Parking right next to my room. I was there two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the place and surroundings.

All rooms are ocean front, some are pet friendly and we have never been disappointed. Off season rates are very reasonable and the staff are friendly. We like that the rooms with a small frig and microwave have wine glasses, coffee maker, a couple of plates and silverware.

Ever stay in one of those places for one night and wish you had a week or even a month to stay! This is that property! We stayed in Unit one for one night and it was amazing! Sure it is not a modernly decorated place where everything is cookie cutter perfect rather it is simply PERFECT with charm and character! The unit we stayed in had a king size bed and sitting area along with a small kitchen and bath downstairs and a room upstairs with two double beds. Originally planning on having a teen ager boy with us we would have needed the upstairs. We are so glad we didn't alter our reservation for other lodging since we came alone. We would of missed out on this comfy gem! The rooms were sparkling clean and COVID safety steps taken at every turn! We cooked a small dinner of Stone Creamery mac and cheese in the oven and enjoyed the ocean. The units perched right atop the ocean bluff have an amazing view. Sunsets are gorgeous. The walk to the beach below is traveled on a well groomed trail. The lawn area out the sliding glass door is decorated with adirondack chairs to chill and enjoy the view! Check in was easy and the folks are super friendly. Dog friendly so even our Lab loved the place! It's a little out of town (5 minutes by car) but once you get there you will not have any desire to walk into town !! Will certainly go back to this new favorite!

My husband and I stayed four nights at Windermere on the Beach and loved every minute! This was our first time in Bandon and after extensive research, I had settled on the Windermere. So happy that I did! It was exactly as advertised on their website, which is user-friendly and informative. They have numerous types of rooms. We chose one with a kitchenette in order to minimize our risks during Covid. The kitchenette was very well appointed with stovetop, oven, sink, under counter fridge, microwave, dishware, glassware, utensils and even mixing bowls and measuring spoons. The room was extremely clean, which is very important to us. Front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient. The bed was very comfortable and the shower head had a good flow, which is important to someone with long hair! The location is a short drive into town and central to beautiful spots up and down the coast. Last, but certainly not least, the views from the rooms are spectacular and all face directly onto the beach! Open your windows and hear the waves! So peaceful! We’ll be back!

The Windermere has a great location and the pathway to the ocean is very well maintained. But the rooms could use some maintenance. The sliding screen door was falling apart and was pretty much stuck where it was. The TV was quite a challenge to adjust, not a particuilarly modern system. We'll try another hotel option in Bandon before returning to the Windermere.

The rooms are spotless, it appears that updates have been done. The view is spectacular. There is easy access to the beach on either side of the cabins, along with a wash off station by the office, very convenient for people and pets. There are 2 per areas in either side of the cabins. The staff is very friendly and helpful, including the cleaning staff. All and all KUDOS. Would recommend to all.

Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear of your relaxing stay. We are very fortunate to have a great housekeeping staff who have been with us for years and are safely getting us thru this Covid-19 time. Bandon beach was just voted one of ten best secluded beaches in the U.S.

What a beautiful stay! We only stayed one night in this location however we've frequently stayed across the street and always wanted to stay here. It was absolutely wonderful...even amid a COVID pandemic! Warm, clean, beautiful and clean beach, incredible access, and this has always been an Oregon coast "wish list" location for us. We booked a dog friendly room (without any dogs) and while it did smell a bit like wet dog, it was not overwhelming and was very clean! We ate in-in front of the fireplace which warmed the room nicely and enjoyed a quiet, romantic weekend! Thank you for your wonderful location and clean accommodations! We WILL be returning!!!

We were in Room 17. It was a wonderful stay! The view was amazing. The sun is in your face most of the afternoon, as it's west facing, and I'm not a sun sitter, but I was walking the beach during that time both days. The beach is easily accessible and Bandon is the prettiest beach on the Oregon coast. My husband and I have different sleep schedules, so I slept upstairs on a double bed and my husband slept downstairs on the king. Upstairs bed not the most comfortable, but fine, and his was great. The kitchen area had good cookware and enough dishes and silverware (though we brought our own knives) and we turned the table to make more room. We were able to cook and wash dishes comfortably. The one thing I'd ask for are some comfortable chairs - a couple of the Adirondacks I saw next door? - on the deck out front instead of the old wooden bench that was there. But I'd stay here again in a heartbeat and just bring my own chairs!

When we called they had one room left which was advertised “for those on a budget or just passing through.” It was a room with two double beds, a bit on the small size but lacked nothing. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and we were delighted that it had wine glasses, a corkscrew and even some dishes. We took advantage of all of these by sitting at a small table looking out a large widow at a beautiful view of the ocean as we ate our take out meal from a local restaurant. They have lounge chairs outside your room where you can also enjoy the view and it is a nice little hike down to a beautiful beach. Michael was gracious both on the phone and in person. They sent us on our way with two nice muffins for the trip. Highly recommend this place.

I have stayed at Windermere on the Beach several times a year for the past 3 years. The managers, Michael and Valerie, are friendly, professional, and exceptionally oriented towards customer service. My husband and I found everything about our stay to be 5 stars! I loved how "covid-clear" the room was, and also greatly enjoyed being able to cook our own breakfast while enjoying spectacular views. If you want a lovely, quiet motel with a homey feel, impeccably clean rooms and fabulous customer service, you'll love this place.

There are rooms on the ground floor.
I don’t believe so - certainly none in the room. But call to be sure.
Hi,
Yes, we do provide hairdryers in our rooms.
We just took one of the available chairs outside the first floor rooms and moved it a little from the sliding door near the rooms. Several times to have a drink or read. No one complained enjoy!
Face Rock Creamery is great for lunch and only 10ish mins. away. Pizza and Pastries is 10 mins away and is a great place, we always stop there at least a couple times while in Bandon. Irish Pub downtown has great food also, only 10 mins away too.
