The good - Beautiful location The bad - if you plan on staying in this hotel please book directly with them. We were charged a bogus 15% resort fee so they could cover the cost of their Booking.com fee. I don't think this is right. We stayed in unit 18 - the mattress was the worse we had ever seen. Even though they said it was only 18 months old it was totally mushy and indented. My poor husband looked like he was in a cocoon. Please get a good quality mattress. The unit needs updating. It feels old. It was spacious and clean though. The covered patio needs to be cleaned and repainted. I read that a light breakfast is offered - I was not told anything by the office check-in person about this.

We did address your concerns about the mattress as soon as we were aware of the challenge, and the painting of the patios and balconies is ongoing as the summer progresses. Regarding the "resort fee", I apologize that it was not communicated that when you book through a third party website, there is always a fee. That is why it's always best to book with us directly. We can assure that you will have the room you want and not have to pay their fee. I apologize that your stay was less than perfect. We hope to see you again soon. This was our 5th week long trip to Windermere! We stayed in a pet friendly family cabin and felt like we were "home." There is something magical about staying in such a histric motel, and the views! Out dog was also in heaven. We have had some type of problem every time we have gone to Bandon, and the innkeepers each time display compassion and quick assistance. Two trips back, we had just checked out when we found our car battery was dead. The innkeeper immediately reinstated our cottage "just in case." Last April, our golden retriever became very ill and we had to leave a few days early. We were refunded those two days. This trip our electricity blew out on the kitchen wall with the fridge and microwave, and again the innkeepers moved quickly to keep things resolved. You simply cannot beat the friendly staff and killer views at Windermere. I hope they never change.…

This is a 1940's motel with a million dollar view of the ocean from any room. It was clean, comfortable, warm and convenient to downtown Bandon. Best of all, there was an easy trail leading straight to the beach from the rooms. The owners were accommodating when I told them we had got into town a little early and were wondering if the room was ready before check in time. They said they would call us shortly when it was ready and they did and we were able to bring our things in. Much appreciated and we definitely recommend this to any traveler that is not looking for pure luxury, but just a very nice clean old fashioned place to stay.

At best this is a 1970 era motel (not a good one). No amenities whatsoever yet charged a $40 resort fee. Tried to check-in, the first room had no remote for the TV, called a maintenance guy, he said he knew there was none in the room. Finally found one started to hand it to me and said I would have to program it. I finally gave up and said refund my money I will find somewhere else. gave us another upstairs room even though I told them my wife has bad knees and trouble walking up stairs. Bandon is a fun town to visit but not this place.

I would like to address your concerns in the order presented. We have many amenities at this property, including a light breakfast, wifi, daily housekeeping service, and an unobstructed view and path to the beach. The $40 resort fee was because you booked on a third party website, as you were told at the time of your visit. The remote issue was resolved immediately upon your complaint. You were upgraded to a king room with a fireplace, the only room we had left. Had you not booked with a third party booking site, we would have known about your wife's knees. We don't have any control of room assignments when you don't book with us directly.

I love the pillows, the views are amazing and the staff is very friendly. This was our 4th time staying here. It's the place we stay everytine we go to Bandon. The fireplace is super cozy too. I highly recommend this place

Very quaint cottages. Beds are very comfortable. The dinning ware was a good amount. Very nice staff and beautiful view. The beach was a very easy walk down. Room was clean and well stocked for a family. Will be staying again.

We stayed 1 night at this motel. It was a clean, well maintained motel, built in 1930s. The best part was having and ocean view right outside our windows and a beach a few steps from our front door. That said, don't expect luxury. The room had a weird smell (not dirty), the lamps had bright blueish bulbs. The heater was noisy. The mattress felt cheap and very firm, I slept well despite that. There was no breakfast.

Such a perfect location on the beach! Met the owners upon check in and they were wonderful, accommodated my early check in request. Pet friendly, room is clean. The view! We enjoyed staying here very much. Safe, clean, beautiful spot on the oregon coast. Highly recommend.

I made a reservation back in January 2021 at Windermere on the Beach for a King with fireplace room. I didn't realize that when they emailed me back in April, they had changed my room to a family room. When we arrived, I didn't see my original email and saw the one they had changed. So, I said, ok it was my fault. I did ask the lady if they had a king room. She looked and said they did not. We figured we'd just make the best of it. We really enjoyed staying in the king room with the fireplace. The next day we were out, and I looked online to see if they had a king room and they did, for the exact same time we were there. I would have been fine paying the higher price for the family room. My boyfriend went into the office and the lady was very rude. She didn't even look, she told him, "I told her yesterday we didn't have a king room." The family room was ok, it did not have a king bed, the shower was so tiny. The stove burners would only cook on high. The heat kept us extremely hot at night but not very warm during the day. It would be great for a family, but as a couple we didn't have much room. And never used the upstairs. I was so disappointed as this has always been my favorite place. We have gone here several times the last four or five years. …

THIS PLACE IS AWWWWWESOME!!! Hotel is in the most perfect place to enjoy the ocean and look at the stars. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is very AWESOME! We want to return as often as we can! The hotel is a short drive to town. Short drive to find places to eat. The rooms have kitchens. A path leads you to the beach. So much to do and soooo FUN!!
