This is a wonderful B&B just a few miles from the Talimena Scenic Byway. Carolyn and Essex are friendly, gracious hosts who made us feel at home. They told us all about the history of Talihina and their renovation of the Hootie Creek House, and gave us tips about other places to see in the area. Breakfast was fabulous! The...

The bed was very comfortable and the apple stuffed pancake, bacon, and scrambled eggs served for breakfast was delicious. The owners are very nice and friendly. Perfect place to stay if you are driving the Talimena National Scenic Byway.

We had a very pleasant stay in early October 2016. Spent two nights and did some hiking and geocaching at the west end of the Talimena scenic highway. Hootie Creek was a great base of operations. The wifi was fast, good beds, and hot showers and very clean. Good original gourmet breakfasts in the historically themed breakfast bar. Carolyn and...

We stayed one night before spending a day on the Talimena scenic drive. We arrived to be graciously received by the owner and shown to our room. We found it comfortable and quiet. The Inn has a lot of history; perhaps the owners will offer you a tour and an explanation of its storied past.

Great host couple, Carolyn and Essex! Super clean premises, and a scrumptious breakfast. They put so much love and attention into this place - my wife and I highly recommend it! If we're ever in the area again, wouldn't hesitate to return.

We stayed here for a week. Carolyn and Essex treat you like family. Our day started with a great breakfast and a briefing on local places to ride and check out. We were never disappointed in anything. Very comfortable and loaded with character. I didn't want to leave.

Had a wonderful stay here on my recent spring break road trip with my daughter. The entire place was quaint, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The owner brought homemade cookies to our room after we checked in and made us a delicious breakfast the next morning. I plan to come back for fall foliage season!

The room we stayed in was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The upstairs sitting room had a comfy leather couch and there were photo albums that showed the process of restoring the building. There was a mini fridge in the hallway and a platter of homemade cookies. Carolyn and Essex were accomodating and thoughtful. Breakfast at the counter...

Hootie Creek Bed & Breakfast is an excellent place to stay if you plan to drive the scenic Talimena Drive because it is just a few miles away from the entrance. It is a quiet and peaceful B&B located in Talihina near the small downtown area with comfortable beds and old-fashioned rooms with wooden floors. Owners Carolyn and Essex have...
