Staff was helpful. Shout out to Colleen. When she learned that we were there for a funeral and had limited time with family, she upgraded our room to include a suite which allowed us room to be with family in the privacy of our room. Very thoughtful. Bed and linens very comfortable. Parking is expensive but to be expected in downtown OKC. We did not eat at hotel - so many great breakfast places in downtown OKC.
Perfectly placed hotel in Bricktown area. Right near Convention Center. The staff is WONDERFUL and I can’t say enough good and great things about them. We were so spoiled. Can’t wait to come back and see these nice people again. The rooms are huge and spotlessly cleaned and all precautions are taken for you. We came in an RV and the valet parked us in back. They are very accommodating. Thank you, Skirvin Hilton for a great stay!
Stayed here for 2 unexpected nights during a cross country road trip and was oh so pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by Leaf at the valet and he made some wonderful recommendations for the following day. We were checked in by Ken who was also wonderful and helpful. He gave us a late check out which we didn't need because we ended up staying an extra night. The hotel had the perfect feel for the city. Their piano bar was the perfect just dark enough atmosphere for pre dinner drinks. Will definitely be back to this beautiful city.
After booking through Expedia, I received an email that led me to believe I had to download the Hilton App to check in. When I could not remember my 10 digit ID number from several years ago I was forced to call the customer service line during business hours. Then after holding for 20 minutes the Customer Service Rep tried to undercut Expedia in order to get me to change my reservation at the last minute. They also told me that I could only get my rewards points if I cancelled and rebooked through Hilton which turned out to be false. The whole experience was geared toward pressuring me to download the app and also undercut the third party booking company (Expedia) out of the reservation. Hilton needs to focus on partnering with third parties in order to provide guests with excellent service and superior value rather than confusing them with false claims and pressure to cancel their original reservations and rebooking. After all this I was told that I could still check in at the desk in normal fashion. Why all this then??? Competing Hotels allow wi-fi with no strings attached while Hilton requires their guests to sign up for their rewards program. Competing hotels also allow rewards points to be logged even if a third party was used while Hilton tries to mislead in this area. This was a sorry experience.…
This was my first stay in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as I begin my travels again. I selected The Skirvin Hilton for its historic nature. First impressions are lasting impressions, and all the associates were very welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Although, I would like to give Daniel a shout-out as he is the individual who I first met and checked me in. Daniel provided me an exceptional room which I raved about - thank you for this lasting impression. As you would expect I did not want to leave after just one stay. Daniel has many attributes that are needed in the hospitality industry: personable, welcoming, friendly, accommodating, and most importantly making a stay into an experience. Eva is another associate who made my stay into an experience. For many of the reasons listed above in Daniel. It is the simple things that many times make a true difference. I like fresh-brewed ice-tea in the morning, and Eva made me some fresh. Eva also made time for me with some refreshing small talk, and I know we are all busy in these times, but her taking a few minutes to chat was wonderful. Great people, beautiful historic hotel, awesome location - a true experience.…
