Excellent, historic property that is quintessential to downtown OKC. The entire lobby is well decorated and takes you back to early 19th century. The bar was fantastic. We were treated to a talented pianist and the atmosphere was lively. Check-in: Quick, friendly service with welcoming loyalty members. Room: 2 Queen bed, large room with plenty of space to stretch out. Thermostat worked as expected as I like a COLD room. Bed was comfortable, clean. Bathroom was large, spacious. Floor was on high level. Note: My room faced a large parking garage that had stadium style lighting. So there was quite a bit of bright light beaming into the room. Curtains did a great job at negating that. Large, heavy, and black out. Had a short stay so didn't enjoy the gym or other amenities. Internet was fast and workout room was adequate.

The Skirvin is top notch! Form the moment we pulled up, we were warmly welcomed and that friendliness continued throughout our stays. The valet was very kind and was helpful in guiding is to the offsite parking lot ($10/ day). When we went out the first night, he was half to help us find the perfect restaurant dor our date night. The front desk staff were also fantastic and made us feel so welcome. They are also a wealth of knowledge regarding the history of the hotel and the art within. Be sure to look up and marvel at the stunning chandeliers! And take note of the carved faces at the top of the columns - they are past governors of Oklahoma. We stayed in room 811 the first time we stayed here then in 509 the second time. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The beds and pillows are divine! The shower is awesome!! Plenty of water pressure! This further illustrates how much they have invested in keeping this beautiful historic hotel updated. The hotel is MUST when visiting Oklahoma City!

This was a wonderful, historic hotel with great service. Personnel were very welcoming and provided great service. The night manager was always very helpful. The decor in the bar and restaurant was very nice and made you feel like you had walked into the past of a beautiful, grand hotel.

How in the world is this hotel rated so highly????? Maybe people don’t have expectations of cleanliness, well maintained rooms, decent food, internet that works…I’m not sure. Yes the building’s lobby is beautiful, yes the location is nice, yes it is historical. If that’s what you’re going for, then by all means. I wasn’t expecting luxury, but this is what I got: Mold in the shower grout Dingy/dirty shower curtain Old leaks underneath the sink with warped wood that was never repaired or painted Light fixtures in the bathroom that have NEVER been dusted Black furniture touch up to every single wooden surface, I’m talking an entire desk Room furniture was in horrendous shape Dingy barely vacuumed carpets Bedding that consisted of at least five flat sheets, two that encased an ancient comforter (nope, no duvets here, or fitted sheets either) Teeny, tiny pillows with zero stuffing (I’m assuming the same vintage as the comforter) An equally as old and uncomfortable mattress No refrigerator (I guess they are available on request) Sloooooow internet-don’t expect to work on this trip, it’s not happening Expensive breakfast that included coffee with floating grounds, packaged hollandaise sauce-I would not complain about this but it clearly says homemade on the menu, if it is homemade, the cook may need some lessons on how to make good hollandaise sauce, it shouldn’t be lumpy and flavorless), eggs Benedict should have Canadian bacon (not two slices of cheap and salty lunch meat), frozen hash browns (that were cold and seemed like they had been cooked hours beforehand) Poor service, no one noticed when we sat down in the restaurant, had to seek out a waiter, took forever to get a check. The furniture in the dining room was worn out and in bad shape If you want to advertise this hotel as being really nice, you need to live up to that. Right now, the Skirvin is just a run down Hampton Inn with a pretty facade. It’s really sad, I’m sure back in the day this place was immaculate. It seems like most of the Hilton properties we’ve stayed in recently have been just like this. I think it’s time to show loyalty to a brand that deserves it.

We stayed as part of a group heading to Stillwater for a football game. A warm greeting as we entered the lobby, having the ASU fight song playing, infused water served, and picking up our room keys. Staff members are incredible from restaurant to front desk to housekeeping. Love having a mini-fridge, microwave & coffeemaker in the room. Bathroom toiletries a plus! Short walking distance to the National Memorial and Museum.

Never again Hilton! Long post but darn I am mad! First of all, I am so upset as I write this. I am writing this because I want to warn people. I rely heavily on reviews and feel like people need to be made aware. As an honors member and frequent traveler, I feel like I should be treated with a little bit of respect. Not at the Skirvin! I will give my business to Marriot from now on. I have never been treated so poorly by front desk staff in my life. EVER! And I travel a lot. Particularly by Bria (sp?) and either Toya or Toy (who claimed to be the manager). I stayed at the Skirvin on the 11th and 12th. I was charged more than double the rate I booked!!!!!! I was also charged for 3 nights of parking even though I only used one (the garage was full of huge pickup trucks. Some use two spots. I just got off the phone with Bria (sp?) and either Toya or Toy (who claimed to be the manager). Did I mention that?? They should not be in customer service. Pros - room was nice. Cons: Toilet leaked the whole night. I had to get up constantly to "wiggle" the handle. I went by the front desk to ask why the garage was so full and the girl there told me “Because people are staying around” without even looking up from her phone. I was dismissed. I did not get her name, but she worked on the night of the 12th and was there at 10pm. Whomever you are, I am sorry you are not happy with your life, but that’s not my fault. Try a smile! My biggest con was that I was grossly overcharged for my stay. I have numerous emails showing my rate. The ONLY upgrade I asked for (through my app) was "high floor for $16 extra. I have the email from Hilton showing that was my only request. I am a Hilton's Honors member and checked in through my app. I was assigned a “rotunda room”. I didn’t think anything about it and went to my room. I called this evening to let them know about the error and was told “that’s the rate we have. We show your travel agent, or someone upgraded you.” Well, I didn’t do it so that is a lie. And my travel agent is through my company and abides by our policy so, there is NO WAY they would have called. When I called, Bria (if that is her name), could not tell me who requested the upgrade. She said it was just upgraded and they must have done it. I further “TRIED” to explain that I had several emails quoting the rate, but she would not listen. She kept talking over me. When I asked her name she said, and I quote, “why do you need to know that? That’s not your business.” She then said, “do you want to talk to my manager?”. Well.. that is when I got on the line with “Toy or Toya”. She didn’t want to give me her name either. I tried to explain, and she just kept talking over me saying “I don’t care what you have, that is what we have.” I let her know I was still in town and that I could come down and show my emails and speak to the actual manager and she said “oh, go ahead and come on.”. Kind of threatening. I am a professional nurse. I don’t treat people nasty, and I certainly do not expect to be treated this way by a hotel that I gave MY business to. Any time I have ever had an issue with ANY other chain, it is resolved promptly without question. These two women treated me like a criminal. I will be letting Amex deal with this fraudulent charge. I have plenty of evidence to show them. I certainly don’t have time to deal with people’s nasty attitudes.

Absolutely loved my experience here. The staff is exceptional. The Skirvin is immaculate. My room was exceptionally clean and the bathroom and modern conveniences such as an onsite gym and pool made my stay even more pleasant. I was in town for business and I enjoyed waking early, working out, and having breakfast in a dining room that reminded me of what it would be like to be on the set of "The Great Gatsby" filming. The management staff was caring and attentive. There is a piano bar on-site which I enjoyed unwinding after work and having a drink and dinner. Try the 401K beer, you won't regret it if you are a craft beer lover. I will stay here again.

First off being greeted by Tony, Toye and Bria is the best way to end your day. They were and are awesome. The HOTEL is amazing, and consider this. Start your trip down the past on Route 66 staying at the Palmer Hotel in Chicago, then your next stop would be the Skirvin in OKC. There are no two ways to do this and to not be amazing itself. We will be featuring this property as a MUST stop on your trip for Route 66 as the history of the hotel alone is also incredible , just like the Lobster Bisque they have there. The rooms are so timely kept in perfect condition. The Rotunda Style is the best and worth the extra. The entire experience is worth adding this as a stop for the night. Skip and the entire staff will treat you like family. Enjoy

Pretty impressive stay at the Skirvin. Room was well appointed and clean. It’s an older property but it was well maintained and had all amenities. But the best part was customer service. A gentleman named Jabbar greater our family the first day. He brought hors d’oeuvres to our room and had a genuine caring personality. He even stopped us in the lobby the last night of our stay to make sure we had been enjoyed everything. If ever back in OKC I would definitely stay here again.
