I came to Oklahoma to visit family and decided to stay at this hotel since it was close to all of the entertainment in downtown and let me say Chris D. Was the absolute best. Chris always had a great and friendly attitude every time we seen him and always willing to help us, can’t say enough good things about him and the valet team.
Homewood suites is as close to staying at home when you have to travel for business and budget is a concern. The staff here are wonderful, always. My favorite members are the complimentary breakfast and social staff. They remember your face and welcome you back warmly. Always helpful, and willing to assist. I find this location convenient to get to downtown, as well as plenty of food and entertainment options within walking distance. Also, right by a trolley stop (my favorite option for travel).
My family and I stayed at this hotel while on a short trip to OKC. We chose this hotel so we could walk into Bricktown for the evening, which we did. We arrived at four pm knowing that check-in was at three pm so we could put our things away. The room was not ready and we were told it would not be ready for another hour. We lugged our bags back to the car to go eat dinner then come back. The room was clean and spacious but the check in experience was enough for us not to choose this hotel again.
Being frequent travelers to Bricktown I had been eyeing this hotel for awhile and seeing a good price over Labor Day weekend we jumped at the chance to take a long weekend there. While we were there the lobby was under construction so we had to check in at the adjacent though attached Hilton Garden Inn. Check in was fine and our room was sealed from cleaning prior to us entering. The room was decent size, but looked much bigger on the website. It was nice to have a full refrigerator and kitchen though. Our window faced the ball field and it was fun to watch the games going on. The hotel is right on the edge of Bricktown so plenty easy to walk down for dinner or to grab a drink. Now for the cons. (1) The website shows that you get a free breakfast, but apparently there was a message saying since the lobby was under construction that wasn't the case now. We could still eat at the other restaurant, but it was $20 a person and a 30-45 minute wait on Saturday Morning. (2) I wish we would have done the self park instead of Valet because on Sunday the price in the parking garage went down to $5 a day instead of the $25 we were paying to valet. (3) Finally the biggest issue that I had with this hotel was in the area adjacent to the elevators where the ice is stored is also a trash can and the trash can was overflowing all weekend to the point that when we checked out we could smell the rotten food and dirty diapers as we were waiting for the elevator. Since the hotel is connected to the other Hilton property, I have no idea who is responsible for the trash but it was out of hand to say the least. Some of those bags I know was there when I got ice after checking in. There are lots of options in that area and I think next time I will try something else.…
