I travel a lot for business and I rarely write hotel reviews. I am generally marginally satisfied or disappointed and rarely positively surprised. The Ambassador Hotel in Oklahoma City was an exception. It doesn’t look like much from the outside given that it is an old building. However, this is one of the best renovations that I have experienced. The rooms are spacious and upgraded, the bathrooms are redesigned, spacious and upgraded, the hotel is very clean and well appointed. You can feel the luxury and attention to detail from the moment you get off the elevator, through the corridors and into your rooms. Really really well done and quite a value for the price. Great location of course, but don’t let the outside fool you. This is a luxurious property with great attention to detail. Highly recommended on Oklahoma City!…
I stayed both at an Autograph Collection in the downtown area and at this property. I found the downtown location to be better situated to the sightseeing I wanted to do. Good information provided by the front desk upon check in. Ambassador Elite Bonvoy benefits: no room upgrade. Breakfast was a $26 food credit for the restaurant which is on the lobby level and behind the front desk. Service at the restaurant is excellent. Two young ladies looked after me during my stay and they were delightful. Food selection was better than average with several tempting option and taste was good too. The Nationa hotel gave a lovely welcome amenity of a breakfast box in addition to the elite breakfast - no welcome amenity from the Ambassador. Housekeeping didn't replenish used amenities. Room was fairly spacious and comfortable. When the entrance doors were manned the gentlemen were very gracious and quick to assist. While this hotel is pretty good, it's in a market with a sister property that is exceptionally good and superior in almost every way. Unless a pool is your deal breaker (the Ambassador has one, the National doesn't) then I would wholly recommend you book at the National and not the Ambassador when in Oklahoma City.…
The hotel had a nice brick exterior and the staff was helpful and the place smelled so fresh. The carpet was brand-new, and the room was spotless. It was a soft bed. The Hall's Pizza Kitchen and other fantastic nearby restaurants are accessible on foot. The pool is not very big. Definitely would return to this hotel.
This is a great boutique hotel in OKC. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. The bathroom is clean. There is a designated work area with a small desk. The customer service was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to OKC.
My husband and I where traveling across country and we read great reviews for the ambassadors Hotel in Oklahoma City and decided that was our destination for an evening of rest and relaxation. We were not disappointed. The first room they gave us had some issues however Makahyla came to the rescue and put us in a corner room. That was more spacious and less wear and tear and the issues involving cleaning (due to the previous guest leaving oil stains on the sofa) was resolved. We even got a phone call from Jason the manager on his day of to check on us. Very classy touch. He even arranged a complimentary meal. That was amazing! I would recommend this hotel to other travelers and hope to come again when we are in Oklahoma City.
While staying at The Ambassador, we were greeted with friendly faces and incredible customer service. Check-in was smooth with Mikayla’s help and great suggestions for food and entertainment both inside and outside of the hotel. Check-out was also smooth with the help of Anthony, who made sure to answer any questions we had and made us feel welcomed even after our stay had come to an end. The rooftop bar was phenomenal, with incredible wait staff. The bartender, Tommy, made sure to suggest menu items catered to our individual tastes, and even surprised us with a few non-menu drinks. While at the bar, we enjoyed the company of Caleb and Ashley, who kept us laughing and offered us shot and nightlife venue suggestions. Caleb’s velvet shirt was glamorous, and it paired well with his sparkling personality. The room was immaculate and spacious. Perfect for a business trip, couples trip, or just a nice weekend getaway. I highly recommend this hotel! Every aspect of our experience was memorable, and every staff member made us feel at home.…
Makayla was great at check in answered all our questions and suggested wonderful places. Anthony was helpful with our checkout. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Area has a lot to offer for your evening and the night life around midtown is great. Check out Obar on the roof where Tommy will fix you up with great drinks. The wait staff were great to chat with, Ashley and Caleb, and Caleb’s shirt definitely looked amazing, first thing we commented on (looked great). Love this place, will definitely make it my go to for Oklahoma City!
This place is old and stale. The room was both cold and hot depending on the end of the room. The TV did not work properly and Internet was slow and was often interrupted. I have stayed at Ambassador-branded hotels and this was not up to the standard. Unfortunately, it appears there are not great Marriott alternatives in OKC. This made me happy I don’t have to visit here often.
Weekend getaway to OKC and first time to the Ambassador Hotel. A lovely hotel in perfect location. Incredibly attentive and friendly staff. Our first first greeting from Anthony and Diamanté in Valet made us feel very welcome. The updated decor and spacious rooms made the stay comfortable and relaxing. Amazing restaurants nearby and convenient to so many downtown activities. Highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back.
Had. Wonderful time in OKC. The Ambassador is second to none. Thanks to Anthony and Tanner for making our stay special. Very big and comfy too rooms, the showers were in fact the greatest. Will be staying again. P
