Hotel's Favorite
From the first moment walking up I knew I was in love with this unique take on hotel stays. I checked in with digital key - one of my favorite options, but I found my Mom waiting at the front desk with the guest service agent, Brandi. She greeted us and made sure we knew where everything in the hotel was. As a Hilton Honors member we receive free waters - she made sure to let us know they were already placed in the rooms and if we wanted anymore to just visit the lobby at our convenience. I'm going to say - if you are a long term business traveler, this probably isn't the place for you. It is very kid friendly and built millennial-esque, although I enjoyed it very much... and brought my 55 year old Mom with me. They have a beautiful mural and by the elevators - suggestions of places/restaurants to visit in the OKC area... I LOVED THAT! The lobby is super adorable and had little nooks to use your laptop or read. If playing pool is your thing - yes they even have a pool table (how cool, right?) Along with lots of other fun games. The rooms are a bit smaller, but this hotel it seems was built to be a bit more affordable and to the point.... It is called Tru. Our beds were SUPER comfortable and definitely lived up to the Hilton name though. There is a mini fridge in the room, but no microwave. Each and every member of their staff was very hospitable and did their part to make sure this guest and her Momma were comfy! Jennifer (their GM) seems like she does a remarkable job operating the hotel! I will definitely be back and recommend anyone giving them a try!

Long-time Diamond member here with about 740 nights at Hilton properties over the last 16 years. This might be the worst experience I've had a Hilton. However, I would consider staying there again as my stay was "satisfactory". 1st time for me staying at Tru. Let me give you the lay of the land with this Hilton brand (which did not impact my rating). 1. Pretty bare bones hotel in terms of decor, very modern. Pool table in the lobby, workout room. No pool, restaurant or jacuzzi. Breakfast is a Hampton Inn quality. 2. Smaller room, but not cramped. Small refrigerator. Bed was comfortable, slept well. GIGANTIC TV screen with tons of cable options for movies- HBO, Cinemax, and Starz gauntlet. Two people might have some issues staying in the room for more than a couple of nights. Shower is warm and comfy. I mostly used points. In this case, I could've booked a Hampton for fewer points. I would use them first if I have a similar situation again. So far, this is a standard 4-star fare for Hilton in my review. Friendly and courteous as is the Hilton hallmark. So why the 3-stars and possible "worst' stay for me at Hilton? Lack of knowledge by the staff, but I did have an unusual circumstance- I left my phone at home! a. I asked about where I could eat nearby. People told me to not walk around the area. I'm from LA, so I didn't think this is a problem. There are some homeless that hang out, but nothing unusual for me. I had no car and could only use a cab. The restaurants they knew about were all a cab/lyft ride away. Well, I walked outside and saw a Cracker Barrel about two blocks away and I saw a Hilton Garden Inn (that has a restaurant) across the street about 100 yards away! I went to the HGI restaurant. b. As I had no phone, I was relying on people calling me to contact. They have no business center, but the LaQuinta lets us use their business center. Anyway, I had some incoming messages. The phone had no instructions on how to retrieve them and there was no menu either when I picked up the phone, just a dial tone. I called the front desk for help. Neither them nor the boss could help with this! So, my messages were lost. c. My wife called me. Turns out, she tried to call earlier when I was out. When she asked the front desk to be connected to my room, they refused to do it unless they had a room #. I have never had a situation at a Hilton where the room # was required before you could leave a message. d. When I had the information kiosk at OKC airport make a call to the hotel for the shuttle to pick me up, I was told it would be 30-40 minutes! The hotel is not that far from the airport. I saw 3 other hotels have 3-4 vans come by in the interim. Probably at about the 40 minute mark, an unmarked mini-van came up and called my name. Turns out the hotel had to hire an independent driver to pick me up. They paid him cash in the lobby as I was checking in. The staff did make some amends the next day by having their shuttle take me to where my business was, which would've been about $17 cab ride. Hopefully, this stuff can be corrected. Like I said, I would consider staying here again, but I'm telling you like I think it is.

As i stated in the survey i just filled out, my stay was terrible and I am very unhappy about the issues that I was dealing with. I barely got any sleep do to the noise and comfort of the pillows. The staff did not seem to care at all.
