Detailed Reviews
The Montford Inn is a wonderful example of a Bed & Breakfast. I booked a girlfriends getaway for my friends that live in Oklahoma (I live in Montana). We hadn't seen each other in over two years and we really wanted to get together for a long weekend. I booked two of the cottages, the Marketplace and the Garden Gate which are connected via an entry way. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of how much that it being "OU parents weekend" would made the timing of the visit to the B & B very busy and even more pricey - but I couldn't change the timing of my trip.
The owners William and his mother Phyllis Murray were welcoming and very helpful with recommendations for dinner reservations. The cottages were very roomy and the two cottages worked well for the four of us. William is an excellent cook and the breakfast (delivered to the cottages in styrofoam containers, at a requested time) were exceptionally tasty if a bit small. Really hard to judge what it might be like in the main house or without their COVID protocals.
They are taking COVID seriously and make sure you are safe.
The location is very good and within walking distance to Main Street where you can find a variety of restaurants and interesting shopping.

My husband and I stayed here just to have a quick getaway together for one night. It was quiet, cozy, and charming and we will definitely be back when we have time to stay longer! Also, the breakfast was amazing! We were the only people in the dining room and breakfast was still freshly prepared for us. This is a wonderful place to get away and unwind!

Had a lovely stay here. The rooms are pretty, the breakfast was delicious, and the covid protocols made me feel safe. My room had a cozy fireplace, and they had placed homemade cookies and wine in the room as a welcome gift.

+1
This was our second stay at the Willow Wood Cottage for anniversary. Such a romantic little place! Bed is comfortable and bed frame is beautifully crafted out of...willow wood. Has heart shaped jacuzzi tub with separate shower. 2 fireplaces and TV in both bedroom and living room. Despite COVID this year, the cottage was well supplied with snacks, soft drinks, and a carafe of wine. Has a nice little front porch for just sitting and relaxing. The caretakers are very attentive to any needs. We always enjoy our time there and we look forward to visiting again!

what a wonderful place. Located centrally in Norman, there is a friendly staff available to help you. Room was nice and clean. Real glasses to drink from not plastic ones. My twin bed was too short for me (6'3") but slept well anyway. There are cookies every day at 5:00 p.m. There is a 24 hour coffee bar which I used twice. And the second part of B and B is just as good. Excellent breakfasts. First day was an egg dish with a fresh bran muffin hot from the oven. Second day was strawberry french toast and cheesy chipotle home fries. Both meals were great. (Coffee and smoothies too). I would definitely come here again.

Our group took over half of the main house on my recommendation. Reviews were great and location was great. It is a quaint family owned B&B that includes rooms in the main house and cottages next door if you need more space. Breakfast was divine! Homemade bread, egg casserole, fruit, smoothies.... YUM! We stayed in the Sports Memorabilia room in June. The room was spacious and bathroom was ample. However, it is the warmest room in the main house. They were gracious enough to turn down the AC --- Sorry other patrons... we froze you out. Other members of our group reported their rooms were chilly. If you like to sleep with it cold, then avoid this room but DO NOT AVOID the Montford Inn.
The lounge was a great place to recharge and visit with other patrons and the other members of our group. Wine available for free. Fresh baked cookies daily for free. Beautiful patio that I would love to enjoy when it is no blazing hot summer. Easy access to University and restaurants nearby either on foot, in car or with scooter rental. Ideal location.
Some of our group opted to stay in hotels by the interstate and were jealous of our accommodations, food, location and amenities offered. They all agreed that Montford was the better option.

Staying at the Montford Inn is always a special treat! My mom and I stayed 2 nights in the Hideaway Cottage and it was very peaceful, quiet, and plenty of room for us to stay comfortably. William brought our breakfast over and the food is always delicious and fresh. The house offered many DVDs for us to chose from on our quiet getaway. The house itself is a delight. I always look forward to visiting!

My AC went out in my personal home in Norman. The nice folks at the Montford Inn quickly checked me in to a clean, charming and comfortable room in their pretty Inn. The friendly innkeepers are close by, but are quiet & allow you to freely enjoy the common living areas where coffee, tea & cold water are always available. Great central location & great breakfast too!
You will enjoy your stay at the Montford Inn!

My wife and I stayed at Montford Inn B & B located in Norman OK; we stayed for two days during the holiday season (week before Christmas) and we were not disappointed by the charm of the Monford Inn and the Renaissance Room that we stayed in. The host and inn keeper were just as charming and provided outstanding service. The price was competitive compared to staying at a stuffy, overcrowded hotel which lacks in quality and limited breakfast items. The breakfast was superb. As a retired Army Sergeant Major, my wife and I highly recommend the Montford Inn.

We loved our stay at the Montford Inn. Our bedroom was charming and comfortable, with a king-sized bed, and the furnishings throughout the Inn are very nice antiques and collector’s items, including exquisite quilts. The staff is outstanding. We enjoyed chatting with owner Phyllis Murray and her son William, who cooked gourmet breakfasts each morning. Tammy, on the evening staff, was friendly and kind. Every amenity has been thought of. We enjoyed cookies and tea, as well as a glass of wine in the living room in the evening. We hope to come back to enjoy the beautiful outdoor patio. We especially appreciated the EV charger. The Montford Inn has won many awards, and clearly they’re all well deserved!

Thanks for asking. We do not allow any smoking inside any buildings. There are plenty of outdoor spaces, both public areas and private porches that we allow smoking.

Hi There - Thank you for your kind words about us and would love for you to experience the Inn. The graduation office at OU reserves all of our rooms each year. Call us at (405) 321-2200 and we can answer any questions and add you to the wait list!
Hi Mindi - We don't have any photos that highlight that part on our website but could send you a few by email. Are you looking at the space for a wedding/event? Give us a call at (405) 321-2200 and we can answer any questions and get your contact info to share more!
