The Best of Norman!

The location is perfect for access to all Oklahoma Sooners Game Day activities. The accommodations are first class with comfort and amenities a priority. And the breakfasts include gourmet offerings served with warm and friendly hospitality. The Montford Inn epitomizes the best of Norman!

The Best Place to Stay in Norman

We had an exceptional visit. We do not intend to stay anywhere else when in Norman. The booking was seamless, and the only challenge we had was choosing which one of the beautiful rooms we wanted to stay in. Our room was extremely comfortable. The decor was beautiful and relaxing. The breakfast was divine. The proprietors were friendly and welcoming. We felt cared for the moment we crossed the threshold.

Best place to stay in Norman!

We loved the cabin we stayed in! Privacy and comfort and then breakfast at the big house with others..Breakfast is fabulous, and the company is even better! Parking is easy, home baked cookies left in your room! It’s like a home away from home! We walked to campus, downtown, and to eat dinner.

Would stay again....clean, quiet, comfortable bed

Other than the dietary requests made at check-in being forgotten, (herbal tea instead of black tea or coffee had been requested for breakfast), the stay was wonderful. They did remember that we requested no bread products for breakfast. The cottage was clean, private and enjoyable. The fireplace shared by the bedroom and bathroom did not work, but the one in the livingroom was nice and easy to operate. The livingroom TV worked, but the bedroom TV didn't, which didn't bother us. The heart-shaped tub was cute, but impractical for elderly lovebirds to get in and out of because it's so high off the ground. Grateful for the additional shower. We would stay here again...if the price doesn't increase from $300/night!

A Little Gem!

We can highly recommend the Montford Inn. We stayed here with a group of friends after attending a concert in Norman and would definitely go back to enjoy many of the amenities. They have a really cute little courtyard that would be a good spot to sip wine and visit. We took advantage of the comfortable indoor commons area and delicious breakfast.

Stop searching!! This is the place you’re looking for!!!

Stop looking and book your stay!!! The Montford Inn is top notch in hospitality and creature comforts!!! Phyllis and William, the innkeepers, are professional but quite friendly and accommodating. They genuinely cared about every detail pertaining to my stay. The toilet handle broke on my toilet. Hey, it happens, right? And, it was replaced within the hour. William stepped onto the front porch and greeted me with a down-home “hello” , within just seconds after I pulled into the circular drive. It was as if they were eagerly awaiting my arrival. I loved that! His gesture made me feel not only welcomed but like I had just come home which was so refreshing after a long night of “red eyes” and hustling through airports. William was also quite the gentleman and wholeheartedly carried my suitcases from my car to my room upstairs without asking if I needed assistance. Actually that’s kind of a chore because I don’t travel light! Lol! It was also much appreciated as I was traveling alone and very tired. Phyllis and William are genuinely super nice people who care about their guests. I stayed in the Hearthstone and it was a perfect fit for just one guest. The bed is high off of the ground and is at a perfect viewing angle for watching the TV. The room is on the second floor and has a bay window that overlooks the patio area. The patio area is elegantly lit at night time which provided a soft glow through the window in the evenings. I loved the view from the bay window because it was all flowering tree canopies with birds, so serene and pretty. The back patio area is a retreat in itself. It’s well decorated and outfitted with comfortable seating for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening, an extra cup of coffee or picnicking in the afternoons. Phyllis is quite the baker as well!! I enjoyed fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies every afternoon. It was hard not to take one each time I passed through the living area of the inn. They are absolutely mouthwatering and can be found in the “always open” well stocked coffee bar. I started my mornings off with fresh coffee, a gourmet breakfast and the Montford’s signature smoothie all of which was always served hot and with all the feels of southern hospitality. The dining room is intimate with an early American farmhouse vibe. And, btw, who doesn’t want to sit by a window gazing out at beautiful flowering gardens, towering trees and sweeping lawns of green grass while quietly sipping a fresh hot cup of coffee on a summer morning? Especially with the smell of bacon sizzling on the stove in the nearby kitchen?? What I loved is that breakfast was always made fresh and not served as warmed up leftovers from the fridge!! Oh so delish!! This beautifully decorated country inn is nestled in an older, quaint and very quiet neighborhood in Norman and is within a short, comfortable walking distance to all of the best wildings in Norman, such as Campus Corner and Main St. My personal advice, don’t google earth this place. I did and the exposures from Google earth did it no justice whatsoever. I was wonderfully surprised by its more country than prairie type aesthetics. The front porch alone makes you want to abandon your unpacking mission altogether so as to grab a glass of ice tea and a rocking chair!! The Montford Inn is a true gem that must be experienced in person. I am a B&B’er and reside in the Palm Springs area of SoCal. Throughout time, I have stayed in beautiful inn’s along the Northern California coast, as well as, in the popular mountain regions of Southern Cali such as Lake Arrowhead. The Montford Inn truly ranks with the best of the best. It’s also a very short and easy jaunt from Will Roger’s Airport. My heartfelt suggestion is that you do right by yourself by giving yourself the best of the best when traveling to the Oklahoma City / Norman region. The Montford Inn is, without a doubt, a 5 star home away from home!! …

SOOOO Relaxing!

We stayed in Hidden Hollow. Our kids gave us a gift night as an anniversary present. The cottage is both vintage, and updated. Very comfortable, very chill. Communication was great. [We had to cancel once due to illness, and reschedule due to conflicts another time. ] OU was not in session when we were there, so that may have contributed to the quite. [We did hear a motorcycle before we went to bed and again late morning, so assume that it lives in the neighborhood] There were chocolate chip cookies. :} Tucked away on a quite back street, but in the middle of town. Restaurants and Sprouts within easy walking distance. The main inn was quiet the weekend we were there, so we opted to walk across the street and have breakfast there. Food was delightful and the smoothie was SO refreshing! Fridge, microwave and pod coffee maker with pods. There was a reusable pod also, for those who travel with their own coffee blend. Montford Inn branded soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc... …

Beautiful Inn

This is a beautiful inn with a friendly staff. Our room had every convenience we needed. The breakfast was amazing. We were treated to blue corn pancakes and chicken sausage that were simply delicious! Would love to return!

They’ve thought of everything. Very comfortable, delicious fresh baked cookies and breakfast. Family owned and they are delightful hosts. Benvenutis is a walkable Italian restaurant for dinner. Nice, shaded patio area to enjoy also..

Best in Norman

I love everything about this place. It is charming, comfortable, convenient, and the staff will take extra good care of you. You can tell they care about the details which makes the difference. From the comfy beds to the gourmet breakfast. You won't be disappointed. It's my favorite place to stay in Norman.

A Very Special Hidden Gem!
The Montford Inn is a wonderful example of a Bed & Breakfast. I booked a girlfriends getaway for my friends that live in Oklahoma (I live in Montana). We hadn't seen each other in over two years and we really wanted to get together for a long weekend. I booked two of the cottages, the Marketplace and the Garden Gate which are connected via an entry way. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of how much that it being "OU parents weekend" would made the timing of the visit to the B & B very busy and even more pricey - but I couldn't change the timing of my trip. The owners William and his mother Phyllis Murray were welcoming and very helpful with recommendations for dinner reservations. The cottages were very roomy and the two cottages worked well for the four of us. William is an excellent cook and the breakfast (delivered to the cottages in styrofoam containers, at a requested time) were exceptionally tasty if a bit small. Really hard to judge what it might be like in the main house or without their COVID protocals. They are taking COVID seriously and make sure you are safe. The location is very good and within walking distance to Main Street where you can find a variety of restaurants and interesting shopping.

Lovely weekend getaway
My husband and I stayed here just to have a quick getaway together for one night. It was quiet, cozy, and charming and we will definitely be back when we have time to stay longer! Also, the breakfast was amazing! We were the only people in the dining room and breakfast was still freshly prepared for us. This is a wonderful place to get away and unwind!

Great place to stay in Norman
Had a lovely stay here. The rooms are pretty, the breakfast was delicious, and the covid protocols made me feel safe. My room had a cozy fireplace, and they had placed homemade cookies and wine in the room as a welcome gift.
