Under new management and owners! Read reviews and we were skeptic that we could get a room, especially with a dog. Stopped in after dark and were quickly welcomed. The restaurant was closed to be re-done, but was opening soon. The rooms are very large, spacious, and have cathedral ceilings. Large walk-in showers, and microwave and fridge available. The rooms... Came to visit Alabaster Caverns State Park and found this gem located at the entrance to the park road. Since temps were low we decided to inquire about a room instead of camping in the park. We arrived after dark and were quickly accommodated with our k9 companion. The lodge room was spacious and had all the amenities of a... More

We stayed the night here after attending the Selman Bat Watch, which I throughly enjoyed. The lodge is at the entrance of the Alabaster Cavern State Park on the left side as you head towards the park. I found this lodge to be quite nice. The room was very clean and nicely furnished in a cool western/red cedar log cabin... More

My family stayed here for one night. The lodge was clean and well-decorated. The location next to the state park was great. Unfortunately, the owner was horrible. She seemed nice at first, although she talked more than she listened. Then came the train wreck. My husband and I were unloading the car. Our two boys (13 and 7) asked the... More

Absolutely loved this place. The manager was great, the room was great, beds comfortable in a quiet peaceful setting. More than met our expectations. The Stables Cafe served delicious meals. Would definitely recommend to others.

The lady checking us in was super friendly! The rooms were spotlessly clean. (until we tracked in red mud left on our shoes from the caverns tour, that is) Decor was cowboy/western theme, high ceilings, room smelled like cedar. Restaurant up the hill was rustic but good food - a lot of food for the price. Take the time to... More

Stayed 2 nights here to tour the surrounding area and to visit the Alabaster Cavern and the Selman Bat Watch which is put on by the Oklahoma Wildlife Department. This is a really nice property and the rooms are really nice with a timber construction theme with vaulted ceilings. The rooms connect with a front and back porch so you... More

I recently stayed in Freedom for a family matter. The owners could not have been more gracious or offered more hospitality. The lodge rooms are clean, very spacious and authentically furnished, the food in the restaurant/bar was great, as were the drinks and company. Highly rated!

If you're planning a trip to Alabastar Caverns, this is THE place to overnight! Comfy, quiet, clean and convenient (right on the premise of the Caverns). The decor is rustic and beautiful. We had a large room with 2 queen beds and a large bathroom with walk in shower. The onsite cafe is warm and welcoming, too. The service was... More

A great place right outside Alabaster Caverns State Park near Freedom (for guided cave tours and wild caving) and a relatively short drive from the selenite crystal digging area at the Salt Plains near Cherokee, Oklahoma. A great area to visit for those interested in minerals, rocks, lapidary, etc. Spacious rooms, fun tasteful cowboy/western/rustic lodge decor is in keeping with... More
