We checked this resort out while meandering through Oklahoma. As far as casinos go, it fits the bill. Lots of slots and tables. Several restaurants and a food court. I like that they also have a bowling alley, movie theater, and arcade. Good place for a weekend getaway.

I come here about once a month and I gamble with anywhere from $5K - $10k. Rooms are nice. Staff training has improved a LOT over the last year. Service improving. The facility is WAY better than Winstar, which is a Sh&$hole! The only issue with Choctaw and other Indian casinos is…. when it’s hot it’s hot, when it’s cold it is ICE cold. They still haven’t figured out how to allow people to stay in the game. They don’t program their machines to cycle in a way that will allow people to win SOMETHING at any time of day. TOO often, their machines are in straight “take” mode”. Be careful when you play slots here. If you win, you usually have to pay the machine at least 50% of what you are about to win. It’s rare to hit something quickly.

This is a place to let your hair down and have fun. The service second to none from the valet parking to hotel staff bartenders and casino personal. So much fun plan on going back and enjoying the pool and other amenities

hotel was good but the machines should be outlawed they are all about taking your money no bonus play will go any where but here in future. The hotel itself was very comfortable though and good choices of food.

Not as great as I expected. We checked in and the room looked so run down. The furniture had multiple scratches, some pretty large, and looked to be at least 20 years old. The ceiling had a very ugly stain on it. The headboard was greasy and had a big hand print on it… I’ll leave it to your imagination as to why that was there. The bathroom counter had a big bottle of industrial strength sanitizing spray left from the cleaning crew. The chair had something left on it, I never figured out what it was but it looked like food. For $300 a night, I expected so much more. But on to the resort itself. We ate dinner at Guy’s and my burger was so undercooked it was disgusting to eat, and didn’t have any flavor. I also ordered the strawberry margarita, and for $13 I expected it to be pretty large, but it came in a small plastic cup. We spent over $70 on our meal and we were not impressed with it at all. We attended a concert at the Grand Theater and that experience was nice. There are a TON of casino games if that’s your thing. Unfortunately for me, it’s not really my thing so I actually got bored after the concert. I found that there’s really not much to do there if you’re not playing casino games. We went to Gilly’s to watch the live band, but they quit playing at around 11:00. After they quit playing, they just played line dancing songs until about 1:00 am. Last call for drinks was 1:00 am, even though the bar closes at 2:00 am. Then at 1:30 am, casino security started making people leave the bar. I told them I would leave at 2:00 when the bar closed, but they said they were closing “now”. So maybe the casino should change the posted closing hour to 1:30 am instead of 2:00 am? All-in-all, I had a decent time, but I just don’t think $300 for the room was fair at all. The room we were given wasn’t worth more than $100. I won’t stay there again, that’s for sure.

The casino was clean, and was smoke free in the newer casino/hotel. I was impressed with the facility that hosted concert venues, the staff greeted us with professionalism and kindness. Peggy D was exceptional with her service at check in and made us feel at home. I took my 16-year son to see a concert and felt very comfortable with the overall s tying and atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I went with three friends for a 3 day stay, 2 nights in mid March. We stayed in the Grand. I enjoyed the people we met that worked for this hotel, all were very accommodating and helpful. The room was pretty clean though there appeared to be something tacky in the bathroom floor tiles. We enjoyed Guy Fieri's restaurant and actually ate their twice. It was the only place opened on a Monday through Wed. The fastfood restaurants were open but did not have anything worthy of a meal. No breakfast places at all, except for one cafe that was swamped. We all had a great time. My only advice is to not go here expecting to play the slots. Out of 4 of us, none were lucky. I guess that is to be expected. I am sure it is better on the weekends, but for 3 days we suffered at the slots.

Evidently Choctaw's multi-million dollar renovation did not include funding for restaurant or hotel staffing. Wait times for even the most meager fast food options within the "District" were 45mins- 1.5hr all day long, nevermind the Sky Tower dining options, which ostensibly include in-room dining options. Multiple parties in our organization, several of whom are in need of special accommodations, were unable to order room service despite going through multiple hotel channels. What is going on, Choctaw?

I visit the spa at Choctaw a couple of times a year for a massage and time relaxing in the calming area. When I arrived for my appointment, the staff were busy helping another client, so I stepped away to allow for privacy. However, it was several minutes before they sent someone to check in with me. I was walked to the back of the spa to the changing rooms, which is exactly as expected. I waited quite a while before being called for my appointment - about 30 minutes. The massage was fine, but when I came out, there was a huge bridal party celebrating in the calming area of the spa. While I appreciate wedding days and the ladies' celebration, I also want to ensure that I am able to relax, especially for the price that is paid for these services. With the amount of guests that use the facilities, I would suggest that the resort add a separate wing for large parties. There was literally nowhere for me to sit in the jacuzzi area of the spa and it was so noisy that even sitting in the steam room couldn't drown out the noise. So disappointing, I doubt I will return.

We had friends performing at Gilleys so we drove up from TX to see them. All the rooms that we could afford were booked so we went to the Holiday Inn Express down the road which was very convenient. Our friends stayed at the casino and we met them at their room, which was very nice, but I wouldn't say nicer than ours. What I would not have liked is from the elevator there are long halls to get to the assigned room so toting luggage through the casino, the elevator, the halls would not have appealed to me, but I'm sure they have assistants for that which of course want a big tip. But the halls, rooms, everything looked clean and well maintained. The casino area looked clean and maintained as well with all the excitement of the gambling. Gilley's was packed at the bar and packed in the dining area, but after the kitchen closed we were able to grab a table so we could enjoy our friends entertaining as we sipped cocktails. I was very impressed that the dance floor was large enough and typically full of dancers some of whom were very impressive. If I lived in the area I could imagine this would be a good Saturday nite date place. Looked like a lot of fun on the dance floor. When our friends weren't performing there was a DJ that kept the dancing going. It was lots of fun and I'd recommend the experience. I did not gamble. I'm an old schooler, who lived in CA and would go to Nevada for entertainment and gambling. I played the one-armed-bandit before it became armless. I just couldn't warm up to an armless slot machine. Also, my long ago experiences in Nevada the casino rooms and food were cheap because they wanted you to gamble. I did not find anything cheap about this casino... it is all very upscale and you pay for that experience. The parking lot was overflowing Saturday nite, so lots of people were enjoying the casino. I'd recommend the experience.
