We stayed for three nights in the middle of the week in mid-October. The staff was very friendly; rooms have a bay window with a lovely view of the countryside; and the second floor patio is delightful! The latter had ample comfortable seating (along with fire pits); besides viewing the countryside, one can see Amish buggies, etc. on the main road which is off-aways. As others have mentioned, a nice breakfast is provided. There is a nearby restaurant (good food!), bakery, and coffee shop/general store/gift shop on the grounds. The quiet hours for inside the building are from 10 pm-8 a.m. The entire grounds - in and out - are beautifully decorated for autumn. This motel is only 20 minutes or less north of the Amish country tourist destinations; in addition, the motel's sereneness and beauty make staying here so worthwhile!

It had been a while since we stayed here and it seemed like exactly what we were looking for. We were not wrong. The building is quite grand and perfect for a quiet getaway. Lots of room in the common area to read and/or make new friends like we did. There is a "rooftop patio" for gatherings or, if you prefer a little solitude, lots of tables chairs, swings, and gliders tucked all over. The pool was superb! Exceptionally clean and nice and warm. The maintenance man, Nelson, deserves special recognition for everything he does and for being so friendly and welcoming. Don't forget to ask for a room with an amazing view!

The hotel was very clean and there were a lot of nice outdoor seating options. The Amish Door restaurant next door serves an amazing chicken dinner and the hotel has a very nice continental breakfast.

We have stayed at almost all the hotels and cabins in the area, the Amish door ranks right up there. The Amish door was very quite and clean, the pool was clean and warm. We especially liked all the outdoor areas, there were plenty of chairs for outdoor seating with tables....the breakfast was also very good....we will be recommending the Amish door to our family and friends, we are looking forward to staying there again.

So blown away by our experience here it's hard to start this review. First off: The grounds, views, landscaping are extremely nice. The areas around the hotel are delicately maintained and just plain pretty to be around. They are blanketed with beautiful flower beds and shaded by trees to grant shade. The brick walkways are impressive to say the least as they curve about the property. Second: The Hotel, Restaurant and Market were far better than I would have thought given this time in our current history. The Attention to Detail and service was Superb! From the Hotel, Restaurant and Market Staff they were very personal and exceptional in all the regards one could expect from an AMISH area. Extremely polite and accommodating. Third: Hotel. Amazingly beautiful in all aspects with spacious hallways, an elevator, wonderful pool (the walkway going toward the pool is quite nice). The room we stayed was very clean and quite large. Forth: Restaurant: Staff: The waitresses are wonderful and highly suggestive when ordering. (KEEP THIS IN MIND. Places such as this have salad bars and warm buffet areas. During COVID-19, You cannot do such things as patrons. The Staff will give you slips for you to fill out for a salad bar or warm buffet desire and will then have it filled for you and bring to your table. I found that to be quite amazing. Fifth: Restaurant: Reduced to a max capacity of 204 patrons, the tables were very spaced apart from each other, which is nothing i have ever seen before in over twenty years of eating in Amish country Ohio. Having said that I must add: At no point did we ever have to wait longer than 2 minutes to get seated. Seeing the layout on our first day there I asked out waitress: " Where did they put the other tables and chairs?" She responded with "They had a crew place then in an area warehouse for safe keeping." I was floored by her answer and how sincere it sounded. Overall: Rating of The Inn at Amish Door and all its aspects: An amazing place to stay in ALL regards if your desire to have a relaxing, rejuvenating time away in the Heart of Ohio Amish country.
