We loved the atmosphere of this place not just regular hotel. We liked the Victorian decor and indoor pool and hot tub. We also love you could sit out on veranda and see for miles. We stayed here 20 years ago and it’s been kept up nicely. The only thing I would change is put in showers instead of jacuzzi tubs for us older folks.
My husband and I stayed in the newly remodeled honeymoon suite for one night while visiting family in Ohio. It was THE BEST decision. The Inn offers beautiful scenery away from the hustle and bustle of the more popular tourist areas. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was top notch. 100% would recommend.
The room was a bit dated and I was disappointed that no one wore masks. None of the staff and none of the other customers. As a result we did not use their breakfast area. Check in and out was efficient
Our family was hoping for a nice, comfortable place to stay in Amish Country, but the Inn at Amish Door was far more than just a hotel. It truly felt like a luxury resort! Even the hallways are such a mix of luxury and coziness, and the our kids were delighted by the large, clean pool (and we loved relaxing in the hot tub)! The grounds were beautiful to walk through and we sat out on the huge balcony in the evening and enjoyed the warmth and atmosphere of one of the the smokeless fire pits! And the breakfast... wow. It was way more than a simple continental breakfast. Waffles, biscuts and gravy, eggs, pastries, and much more! The our two rooms were super comfortable and the view out our windows was amazing. We could go on on on, but I would highly recommend this quiet, elegant, feature-filled place to get away in Amish Country. By the way, the restaurant has excellent food, but we also ordered pizza and picked it up at Winesburg (Whitmer's Pizza) just about ten minutes away and it was delicious.…
Everyone was pleasant and accommodating to our needs and change of plans. This is a beautiful place to stay and relax for a few days. Loved staying here. Will do it again. The breakfast bar had good food. There is a washer and dryer available if you need it.
This restaurant is fair had good chicken & hot table along with their salad bar but their waitresses were terrible & personnel filling salad bar was also just as mean & rotten I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Customers do not need to have their waitress or whomever be as rotten & mean as these people were to us when we were their. WE used to go their about once a week but not anymore!!!!!
Been several years since I’ve stayed here. Place is really nice. If you want something different than a regular hotel. This is your place. It has the same amenities as others but the design of hotel is so neat. You walk in the front door to a grand staircase. The halls are very large with sitting areas. Not just chairs, but couches. Place doesn’t seem like a business. Seems a little more homey. Staff is always so nice. The deserts they put in the breakfast bar are straight from their bakery are delicious! Price is very very reasonable. They even have a hot tub which seems to be harder to find in a lot of hotels lately. Great for any type of stay. Love this place!
We stayed for three nights in the middle of the week in mid-October. The staff was very friendly; rooms have a bay window with a lovely view of the countryside; and the second floor patio is delightful! The latter had ample comfortable seating (along with fire pits); besides viewing the countryside, one can see Amish buggies, etc. on the main road which is off-aways. As others have mentioned, a nice breakfast is provided. There is a nearby restaurant (good food!), bakery, and coffee shop/general store/gift shop on the grounds. The quiet hours for inside the building are from 10 pm-8 a.m. The entire grounds - in and out - are beautifully decorated for autumn. This motel is only 20 minutes or less north of the Amish country tourist destinations; in addition, the motel's sereneness and beauty make staying here so worthwhile!…
It had been a while since we stayed here and it seemed like exactly what we were looking for. We were not wrong. The building is quite grand and perfect for a quiet getaway. Lots of room in the common area to read and/or make new friends like we did. There is a "rooftop patio" for gatherings or, if you prefer a little solitude, lots of tables chairs, swings, and gliders tucked all over. The pool was superb! Exceptionally clean and nice and warm. The maintenance man, Nelson, deserves special recognition for everything he does and for being so friendly and welcoming. Don't forget to ask for a room with an amazing view!
