This is my Second time here with my husband. Our first day was in June 2020. And because we enjoyed it so much we booked two nights in October. Everything about this place is charming. The cabins are amazing. We have stayed in Cabin 8 both times. I have been vegan for 10 years. And when my husband made the reservation they told him they could make something special for me. I was blown away by the chefs entrée for me. They also give me choices. Great to know I can come to Amish country and get great vegan food. So peaceful here
My husband and I stayed this weekend, what a great place. We had a cabin and I highly recommend it. In fact cabin 9 is the most secluded and we loved it. The food is better than any B and B I’ve ever stayed at! The food was so impressive!
After our cruise to Alaska and our trip to the balloon festival in Albuquerque were cancelled - we had to go somewhere to celebrate our 50th anniversary. So we decided to check out Adams County, Ohio. A little place called West Union, Ohio where they have a few Amish businesses we checked out. Then we stayed in a cabin at Murphin Ridge Inn. Oh My Goodness! The food was amazing and the cabin was wonderful. We found out that the owners and the friends that were visiting them were from my husband's home town. We had a great visit with them. You have to reserve your cabin now and enjoy their hospitality and great food!
We stayed two nights at the Murphin Ridge Inn last week and had an absolutely wonderful time! The cabins are by no means your stereotypical “cabin”. They’re very nice with everything you need amenity-wise. Books, games, cups, wine glasses, coffee maker, flashlights, extra blankets, etc. All of our meals were fantastic! For dinner we tried the pork chop, stuffed peppers, ribs and scallops. Everything was off the charts. A crazy amount of food. Their wine selections were surprisingly great. No offense, but it is a pretty rural area. Note...they have bottles behind the registration desk that are not listed on the menu. We chose four terrific selections over the two dinner nights. Excellent! We had an awesome breakfast each day on the main patio. Once again, great food and a lot of food. “Andy” stopped by our table each breakfast & dinner to chat and make sure everything was prepared to our expectations. A nice touch! Side note: In this insane times of COVID-19 Murphin Ridge Inn was all over safety. Their team wore masks, tables were at least six feet apart. Guests wore masks into the restaurant area and again upon leaving. We felt very safe. We didn’t sit by the fire pit area, jump into their pool, nor play tennis, but all looked inviting. They have extra tennis racquets available that are free to use. We did stay out very late on their Adirondacks to catch the meteor shower. An excellent viewing site! The Inn is also the perfect location to hike nearby trails. We did the Buzzard Roost, Cedar Falls, Portman and Wilderness Trails. All less than five miles in length and less than moderate difficulty. Paths are well marked. We hardly saw anyone on any of the trails. Make sure you take water, light snacks and bug spray. The Inn prepared a nice picnic lunch for our second day trek. All in all...we had such a great time. Murphin Ridge Inn is truly a hidden gem. We’ll undoubtedly be back!…
This is a great place to get away. It's very quiet. The food is excellent. There are trails to walk on and a pool. The cabins are so comfortable. If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway, Murphin Ridge Inn is perfect!
