We visited one night in August for a "girls'" trip to Amish country. I regret not planning to stay two nights. Since there were 4 ladies, we booked a suite--2 separate bedrooms with their own baths with a small living area in the middle. The living area included a sofa bed which could accommodate 2 people--giving this suite the possibility... More

HOTEL’S FAVORITE REVIEW
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2016

We visit Amish country every few years and have always stayed here. The rooms are homey and spacious. The views are great and the private balconies are so cute. The breakfast is perfect to start your day walking around to nearby stores. Everything about it is just as you would hope for an Amish country getaway. If you can, go... More

The views from the upper floor balcony are picturesque and it is a peaceful place to relax. The rooms are clean, have a lot of space, the decor is more country than chain hotels and very quiet. Also, the breakfast does have a few hot offerings.

My sister's and I go on a little 1 or 2 night getaway every year. We stayed at Carlisle Inn Walnut Creek for 3 years now. We absolutely love it. We've had 3 different rooms, all equally beautiful. We enjoy the breakfast (there's something to please everyone) We love the cookies and popcorn after a day of shopping. I highly... More

We booked two rooms for our three day visit. I have always stayed on the back side of the hotel which has an awesome dark view at night from the balcony. The rooms are so comfortable and so pretty. Quilts cover the beds. There is a dressing room with a sink and long counter along with places to store your... More

We had tickets to see the show in Sugarcreek, but the Carlisle was all booked up. We made reservations here as an alternative. Based on another review (about street noise and the views), I asked for the back side of the building. When my husband checked in, he was told our room (318) was on the back side, on the... More

We just spent a relaxing 3 nights/ 4 days at the Carlise Inn.. We prefer this location over the new Carlisle in Sugarcreek because of the views and the quieter atmosphere. The view of the countryside from our 2nd floor room on the back of the building was wonderful. We had dinner on the balconey twice, perfect place for a... More

Having stayed at the Sugarcreek Carlisle Inn during my last two visits to Ohio's Amish country, I was curious to see how the Walnut Creek location would compare since it seems to be an older facility. While it is a smaller venue, it still has the same country charm as the larger Sugarcreek property. Our room, a corner suite with... More

This was my second stay at the Carlisle Inn. My first stay was in late November, 2 years ago (you may want to see my review of that stay). So this review is a follow-up since we picked a room on the front side of the hotel (we stayed on the back side last visit). You definitely want to pick... More

This hotel is in a good location. We had a room on the main floor in the back which had a fabulous view of the rolling hills and farmland from our balcony. I suggest you ask for a main floor room on the back for quiet and convenience. You park in the back and ride an elevator up to the... More
