Riverdog Retreat is a wonderful place to stay. It's a short drive just outside of Oberlin, Ohio on 20 beautiful (and quiet) acres of woodland. It is owned by two very talented artists who have a studio and gallery on the property as well. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean and you'll find a loaf of fresh baked bread... More

We have stayed at the Riverdog Retreat before, but this year we spent our New Year’s Eve there. The surroundings were magical; there was snow on the ground and the trees. Our room in the Cedar House was spacious, well-appointed and lovingly decorated with antique furniture and works of art. Debra & Terry are marvellous hosts who have just the... More

My husband and I stayed here in October 2013 for several days while visiting our daughter, a student at Oberlin College. Terry and Deborah, our hosts, were very friendly and welcoming, but not intrusive. We stayed in the Riverview Suite, which was very spacious and well-furnished, with a large bedroom, bathroom, desk alcove off the bedroom, living room, full kitchen,... More

My husband and I fly out from San Diego at least twice a year to visit his elderly parents and we typically stay at one of the Riverdog Retreat units for a week at a time. It is a place for calming down from the stress of demanding carrers and an opportunity for quiet reflection for what is most important... More

Riverdog Retreat is a wonderful B&B! If you're looking for a quiet country setting, with beautiful buildings and gracious hosts, this is the place for you! We stayed in the Settlers House, and it reminded me of my grandparents' home, only way nicer! Terry and Deborah are kind spirits - you couldn't ask for nicer hosts. We hope to stay... More

I cannot say enough positive things about the Riverdog. My wife and I were recently married and we reserved all three accommodations on the property for ourselves and our families. Deborah and Terry made everyone feel at home the entire weekend and the property was in absolutely spectacular shape. Each of the rooms is perfectly appointed and everyone commented on... More

You will love this incredibly welcome spot of peace, beauty and warmth. My son and I stayed at Cedar House to visit Oberlin and it was the perfect weekend place of relaxation and wilderness for us while we went on various east coast tours. From the moment I reserved on-line, owner and artist, Deborah, responded to every need right away.... More

My husband and I took a mini-vacation to celebrate our first anniversary. Cedar Point, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and northern Ohio wineries were all on our itinerary. How lucky we were to find the Riverdog Retreat, which is not only beautiful but also in the perfect location to enjoy all three! We stayed in the Cedar House... More

River Dog Retreat is one-of-a-kind. We had a mini- family reunion here while attending our daughter's recital at Oberlin Conservatory. We stayed in the Cedar House and other family members were in the Cedar Suite and Settler's House. We used the Cedar House as "headquarters." The living area includes a kitchen, dining room and living room and was big enough... More

We set out looking for a place to stay while we visited our son for parent weekend at Oberlin College but found this beautiful, artistic, restful and romantic getaway making Riverdog the highlight of our weekend. The accommodations were really first class as everything was in perfect working order, and immaculate. Deborah and Terry have really created a wonderful environment... More

I've lived all over the world and Oberlin literally has the best breakfast place AND bar. In the world. No joke. Theres an unreasonable amount of great restaurants for such a small town.
