We stayed at the Inn during the 4 crown nationals at Eldora and it was perfect! The beds were amazingly comfortable, rooms and towns were quiet, and everyone in the entire town seemed so nice. Only about 20 minutes from the track made the drives very easy and enjoyable. We walked for coffee in town and really loved the uniqueness of the place. Will definitely be back anytime we come to Eldora!
The Inn was moderately priced for our one night stay. Front desk personnel were pleasant and did warn us (as had the website) that there was no elevator, but for one night we had little luggage. Our room was clean, as was the bathroom. Nice to have a refrigerator, microwave and Keurig. The beds were super comfortable. Unfortunately, the train noise made it almost impossible to get back to sleep once awakened, as the trains were fast, frequent, and loud enough it sounded like they were coming through our room. I counted nine from about 1-6 AM. Next morning at breakfast, another guest mentioned that there were earplugs provided in the drawer. We never opened the drawer since we were not unpacking for just one night, and I never would have even thought to look. Would have been nice if we’d been told at check in, but I guess they don’t really want to advertise that you need them! The continental breakfast was minimal, but adequate. I’d suggest asking for a room away from the train track (if there are any).…
The Inn at Versailles is the best of everything! The rooms are amazing (and spotless). The staff is accommodating and the continental breakfast is wonderful. Why stay anywhere else? The cost is comparable to an average motel so there is no reason to not stay at the Inn! I've stayed there three times and have my fourth visit booked. One of these days, I have to try the restaurant. The menu looks quite good!
The Inn has a top notch chef offering a wide variety of meats, vegetables, and deserts in the comfortable first floor dining area. Our group, aged 15-73 ordered a variety of meals and loved them all. At the end of the summer, there special is deep fried squash blossoms - yum! We stayed the night in a lovely historically decorated room brimming with charm and comfort.
We arrived about 4:30 which was perfect since it became a bit more crowded after an hour. The staff is very efficient and helpful. The food was prepared perfectly. We split the walleye and it was plenty for both of us. I added glazed carrots which were delicious. Our friends ordered the pork chops. Again they were done to perfection. We get back to the area once a year and try to eat there st least once.
