Attention criminals! If you want an easy target, here ya go! The front desk clerk is nice, the rooms are pretty average and I won't be back! According to the sign at the front door there shouldn't be a gun on the premises 😉

My husband and I had to make a last minute trip to Ohio and chose to stay in the town where I grew up. Decent price and easy to access. We arrived after midnight. We were given room 123. Bad! The window was wide open and would not lock. The heater could not be adjusted warmer or colder. We immediately asked for a different room and the desk girl was kind enough to upgrade us to a better room. Unfortunately that was not much better. The heater was in Celsius. There was a hair on the shower curtain and a stain on the bedding. Yuck! At the bottom of the staircase there was an exit door that someone kept propped open and it reeked of smoke. Will not stay here again.

Very outdated hotel with what seemed to be several additions, “renovations” since the layout of rooms is hard to navigate and re-numbering the rooms so they make sense may be too an easy a solution. Definitely not worth the $98/night. Parking lot is crowded and small. Lobby is dark, dinghy, cold, and not inviting. Also way too small to accommodate all the breakfast goers. Hint: pass on the free continental breakfast and walk over to McDonalds or the Pilot station. It’s worth it to pay for your breakfast sandwich and eat in a well-lit, semi-quiet atmosphere. Hallways reek of stale smoke. Back doors were unlocked and propped open, probably for smokers. Rooms were just adequate. Minimal hot water in the shower. Vanity tops were not clean (caked on make-up droplets). Beds were okay. Choose another hotel.

We stopped here because of the snowstorm. Wasn’t sure since the reviews were mixed. They were busy but friendly at the counter. A bit casually dressed, but friendly and helpful. They are working on updating the hotel, and it is by a trucking parking area. The rooms were clean, and updated. The shower was warm and the pressure was great! There was no elevator and the stairwell did smell of stale smoke. But the rooms did not smell at all. Breakfast was good, hot and the area was clean. It seems to be owned by a family, but they were all working hard to keep it stocked. I was pleasantly surprised, and got a great rest and a great shower and breakfast after a scary drive in the storm. Thanks!
