This was a birthday present from my husband. We stayed two nights here in The Red Room. It is a spacious and welcoming room. The King bed was very comfortable. There were two wing back chairs that were great for sitting and reading.. It is so quiet there, you don't think you are so near to downtown Troy. I would like to go back again when the weather is warmer so I can walk around and enjoy the many shops Troy has to offer. We did venture out to a local bakery and brought back delicious sandwiches which we then ate in the dining room. It is so spacious and pretty in this room. Our hosts were so kind as to get us place mats and plates to use. The Inn keepers were so helpful in answering our questions about what to see in town. Terri was very instrumental in setting up a birthday surprise for me from a good friend. It was such a treat to walk into that beautiful room and see flowers and candy that my friend had ordered especially for me! There is a lovely library with lots of books and games there for your use.It was a very cool night, so they brought out a heater and set up in there so it was toasty warm while sitting. There is also a beautiful living room we could use, but we just loved our room and stayed there most of the time. We were given a key to the room and a code for the side door through which we could come and go. In our room was the information on how to use the Wi-Fi. The room has a TV. There is a lovely armoire for your use as well. The breakfasts that Terri made were delicious and very filling. We had juice, fruit, and yogurt each morning. The first morning we had a delicious egg and cheese and bacon sandwich on a flaky croissant. The next day it was scrambled eggs, sausage and different types of bread plus the juice, fruit and yogurt. We didn't need to eat again until supper. We have been in many Bed and Breakfasts over the years, and this one is by far one of our favorites! I hope to return again when the weather is better and we can get out and walk around the town. You won't be disappointed if you stay here!…
I'm actually writing my review on behalf of my sales team, all of whom stayed at The Charlotte Bed and Breakfast. They begged us to make this the company "hotel" because it's so amazing! Everyone loves the location, right downtown, within walking distance of everything! Even if they're not planning on shopping or eating, taking a walk downtown to the levy is a nice stroll that takes in our lovely town. Each person independently commented that the hosts were gracious and accommodating and that they loved the decor. If you didn't know this B&B was here, you'd probably miss it, but even if you're a local, this is a fantastic getaway. Book it now! :)
This if my 2nd stay and it was amazing. The bed in the lavender room was so comfortable, I struggled to get out of it. The owners went above and beyond to make sure my stay was pleasant. It's my home away from home.
Great location in Troy, one block off the main square, close to shops, coffee, and restaurants. Extremely comfortable bed and linens, delicious breakfast, and fantastic hospitality. It will be my go-to when in the area visiting family.
Troy is a lovely town but has been lacking in great places to stay. That has all changed with The Charlotte. Terri and Loraine know how to create a warm and welcoming place away from home. The rooms and bathrooms are lovely and spotless. These two ladies have also gone to great lengths to pay attention to the little details that make a property enjoyable. Whether it is the lovely handmade soaps, flat screen TVs with streaming services, in room coffee maker or a host of other amenities, it all communicates a true desire to please and delight their guests. If this were not enough, there is the breakfast. It is absolutely fabulous. On Saturday morning, breakfast included quiche, yogurt with berries, home made scones. Just excellent. And because I was leaving early on Sunday, they packed me a breakfast to go! In short, anytime I come back to Troy, I will stay here. Book early since they currently have only a few rooms. You will love it. Thanks again Terri and Loraine for a wonderful stay!!! …
