NUMBER OF ROOMS
We stayed in one of their many lovely cabins, The Sunset. Overall, it was wonderful. I would definitely go back and would recommend it. Pros: Very clean, great location, cozy decor, mostly in great condition, quality beds and appliances, quiet, and private Cons: Some things need attention (eg, shower and whirlpool fixtures, filter in hot tub), no food delivery there, no WiFi, need newspaper to start fire in fireplace Management and staff were very helpful before, during, and after our stay (had to have something I forgot shipped to me!). Although there are two roomy bedrooms, we think it would be pretty cramped for four people, especially two couples, especially if you plan on spending much time in the living room. However, if you are a couple wanting to enjoy a cozy weekend away, definitely stay at one of their cabins!…
My husband and I spent the weekend there 9/6-9/8. We had such a relaxing, peaceful time. The cabin was beautiful and clean. The hot tub on the screened in porch was very clean and well-kept. We had a great steak dinner we prepared on the gas grill and the kitchen had all the amenities we needed. The bedrooms were very pretty and comfortable. We had a fire outside each night and really enjoyed it. FYI: There is no WiFi but we got decent Verizon cell service. We were even able to stream Netflix. The check in and out process was simple and the contact we had with the owners/managers was great. We will come back again. Maybe with our kids.... or maybe not!
We enjoyed the Van Buren 1 cabin in late July. It was our second time here, the first time was in July 2013. Its a beautiful and cozy cabin for two, and we were anxious to get back to it after six years. The gas grill is fairly new and I grilled steaks on it during our first evening there. The kitchen is well-stocked and the dining table is ample for two people. The hot tub is nice and worked fine during our stay. We love the large deck and being totally surrounded by trees! The bed is OK, but tends to sag toward the middle. The living room sofa isn't the same quality as the dual recliner sofa that was there last time. The cushions are like quicksand and suck you down, then it takes some effort to get up. Also, the cabin had a strong "musty basement" odor when we first opened the door. However, we soon became "nose blind" to it and it didn't adversely affect our stay. The cabin is only about 15 minutes out of Logan, so its a convenient location. Its another several minutes to most Hocking Hills attractions. Overall our stay was very enjoyable and we'll be back!…
If you want a quiet, relaxing setting that is still near the major attractions of Hocking Hills, look no farther! Walnut Valley Cabin is a quaint but modern getaway that offers beautiful surroundings as well as a tennis court, hiking, hunting, a hot tub, and even wifi. The wrap-around porch is great for taking in the view. Logan is only 10 minutes away, and Lancaster between 15 and 20 minutes, so whether you want to get away from it all or enjoy the local happenings, Walnut Valley Cabin is the perfect place!
We spent a week at the Ridgeview Cabin this past september for our vacation. The cabin was beautiful, extremely neat and clean and was furnished and decorated very nicely. It had just about everything we needed so we didn't need to bring as much stuff as we had thought. The king size bed was very comfortable and the hot tub and screened in porch were so lovely to relax in. Also, the office staff were all very friendly and helpful with anything we needed with the cabin and for information about the area. We got engaged while on this trip and we are considering coming back to the Ridgeview for our honeymoon in the near future :) Thanks for such a great trip!
