Our cabin was basic, pretty standard state park fare. The grounds here are very well maintained throughout. The lake view trail, accessible in two places a short walk from the cabin area, is a nice walk with good views of the ginormous lake. Unless you bring a boat or a horse, there are not huge numbers of activity options here...

Camped here for beautiful days - sites are spacious some with water views - campers' beach free of Canada Geese and their droppings as was the 2,400 ft. public beach. The showers and toilets were very clean (kudos to Charles who is doing a Herculean job.) We were here on weekdays with fewer people - hot weekends draw larger crowds....

Spent a few days at the park staying in a preferred cabin with 3 friends. We found it difficult to determine how late we could arrive, but finally learned our key would either be taped to the office door or on the kitchen table in the cabin. Accommodations were great except the cabin listed a pull out sofa and the...

My review is based, not on 1 stay, but on 8 weekend stays over the past 2 years. Buck Creek State Park has been our weekend home away from home many times over the past 2 years. Out daughter goes to the university nearby. We can also bring our 2 small dogs as some cabins allow them. Would we stay...

Traveling to the east coast and thought staying at a state park in Ohio would be a nice change for the normal off the interstate hotel. We picked Buck Creek State Park and had a cabin that slept 4. Granted we'd been driving all day, but it was so far off the interstate and deep into the park. My review...

We rented a cabin over the New Year's holiday. There were rodent droppings under the sink and the main cushion on the couch was very dirty under the slip cover. We left shortly after geting there. The park issued us a full refund.

We had made many wonderful memories at Buck Creek. We have camped there, we have stayed in the cabin, had picnics and hiking the trails. We love to go out a couple times a week and just walk the area. It is beautiful.

We have been camping for years and this was our 1st visit to Buck Creek. What a pleasant surprise. We had site 37 with a pop-up. It was a little bit from the bathroom but it was doable. Our site was 3 down from the path to the camper beach. It was so pretty. It was a windy day and...

This is a beautiful place! In the morning I walked down to a secluded area by the beach and everything was filled with mist. I could not see the other side of the lake but a few boats here and there of fishing folks gave me perspective. It was wonderful. The evening before there were deer in the prairie on...

We stayed in the electric campground in our travel trailer from Thursday night to Sunday. It was a great time. We stayed at site 20 and there is a path to a very small but private beach. Bathrooms were are ok. Great close to home vacation! We will return!
