My husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary in the Macintosh cottage. It was clean, spacious, and very well appointed. We were impressed with the cottage's sound system (tip: bring your own dvd's, blu-ray's, and cd's). The private hot tub was so relaxing. Breakfast each morning was delicious (the scones are so yummy! they even shared the recipe!!). We...

It was so wonderful to meet you! Thank you for your kind words. Our guests are who add to the experience. I’m glad to see you enjoyed the tradition of dressing for dinner; its things like this along with the ambiance of Scottish music that sets the tone for a fantastic trip. It’s the little things in life that create...

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay in the MacTavish cottage. All the cottages and crofts are private, but the MacTavish seemed particularly secluded. It was a great, relaxing getaway. The cottage was very clean and well taken care of. In fact, the shower and fixtures were so white and shiny they looked brand new. You can drive up...

We are so glad to hear you really enjoyed your stay; secluded, private and a relaxing getaway is music to our ears. Our entire staff (Housekeeping, Waiter’s, Chef’s, and Guest Services) are so happy to have impressed you with shiny fixtures and a delicious gluten free alternative meal for you to enjoy…staying “on top of it” is our goal. My husband and I celebrated our 2nd Anniversary at Glenlaurel. We were greeted by the Innkeeper, Tracy, who was very friendly and informative. A very relaxing stay. Hiking the gorge was an experience - just beautiful. The staff was wonderful. Food was delicious - KUDOS to chef My only complaint would be the dinner. Although the food was delicious, other...

Had an opportunity for a quick-one night getaway, and this was the perfect place! We enjoyed the excellent dinner in the Manor house and breakfast the next morning was delightful. With jobs, three kids, and busy lives alone time and romance are often missed, so this trip was just what we needed. The cottage was charming and well kept. The...

This was the third time staying here, either in croft or cottage. We loved the fact that there are no kids, no tv, ahhh very peaceful. I would like to have a king size bed instead of a queen for the price you pay. The grounds are nice quiet, wildlife, and walking paths were nice after breakfast. We will return...

Thanks so much for your review, but most of all, thanks for visiting us so often. As you know, the peace and quiet makes Glenlaurel such a magical place for nature lovers. In the very near future, we will be adding a treasure hunt in the gorge and we wanted to let you know that we are adding king beds...

We went on the recommendation of a friend, with minimal due diligence. We stayed at a nice small cottage (everything is Scots themed, ours was "MacBeth"). It has a really good first impression; the property is well maintained, the cottage is cozy, all was clean and neatly made, and there was Scottish music playing when we entered (had to call...

Thank you for writing a review and many thanks to your friend for the recommendation to visit Glenlaurel. I am sorry you had Wi-Fi issues during your stay. We have two satellite connections onsite and just recently discovered the problem…the wire that services many of the crofts and cottages was damaged by some entertaining squirrels! Although we are still calling...

My husband and I stayed in a croft for two evenings.... it was cozy and warm and the hot tub was the "icing on the cake." My wife and I stayed for a three-day weekend marking our seventh stay at Glenlaurel. The service is always exceptional and the accommodations are very clean. The hot tub is always a relaxing touch. It is such a lovely setting and surroundings you can't help but enjoy yourself. The food was outstanding, some of the best we have ever experienced tasting.
