I stayed in the Peace Pipe cabin over thanksgiving this year with my parents, boyfriend, and our pup. It was a perfect fit for the 4 of us. The hot tub was super relaxing every night and they outdoor space in general was really beautiful. The indoor fireplace was comfortable and relaxing to hang around and read your book by. The kitchen was well equipped (even for a thanksgiving dinner!) and very clean and well maintained. I would recommend bringing a few extra blankets since there weren’t any extras for the beds or hanging on the couch with but other than that we had everything we needed. Lots of great hiking nearby and cute little coffee shop as well. I will definitely be back! Thanks for the great stay!

Thanks for your review. We work hard to provide a comfortable, clean, well maintained property so our guests can simply enjoy their time together. When you return, please note that there are extra quilts in the dresser drawers in each bedroom...so you can be as cozy as you need to be.

I’m giving our stay 5 stars because we truly enjoyed being away with no cell service for two days! We stayed in the Dreamcatcher cabin. It’s a cozy little place with two small bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s private and quiet, and you will have zero service on your phone. No WiFi or anything. That made my husband a little anxious as he has a very stressful job and couldn’t answer emails for two days. But, he needed it. There’s a hot tub out back and that was maybe my favorite part. We spent a lot of time there in the evening. Inside, the gas fireplace is perfect. I curled up on the couch with a book one morning and read for hours. We didn’t get to stay long, but if you need it, there’s a full kitchen with just about everything you’d need. There’s a fire ring out back that we didn’t have a chance to use, but you can easily purchase bundles of firewood. My one complaint is about the beds/pillows. My goodness the bed was awful! Zero stars. It was hard and uncomfortable (and we sleep on a firm bed at home, this was like a block of wood). The pillows had no fluff or give. We just couldn’t get comfortable. I got up at 6am the first morning after tossing and turning most of the night. My back was a mess. On day 2, we both woke up around 6 and wound up leaving as soon as it was light out because we were in pain and exhausted. All that said, we’d probably come back. Maybe try another cabin even. We hiked Old Mans Cave and had some great food at the Old Dutch and Captain Rons Pirate Pizza. It was definitely worth the drive up for some unplugged peace. 😊

Thanks for you review. We really do appreciate our guest' input. Sorry you found the beds uncomfortable...it is one of those things we find difficult to hit the mark on 100% of the time, as everyone has a different preference. They are firm mattresses for durability, but they do have memory foam toppers. We welcome you to return...and perhaps try the Chateau with king size beds.

Love the entire place. Great hosts as well . The setting and owners are just so kind and the property has everything needed for a get away weekend (or week). The pond is my favorite. The trails close by good times

Stayed in 2 bedroom dreamcatcher ... friends/kids could not join us, so hubby & I enjoyed having room to spread out. Hot tub looked almost brand new & we enjoyed it after long hiking days. Never made it down to make a fire, but area looked very inviting. Great Weber gas grill on back deck. Enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the deck. Nice supply pots/pan/utensils. Everything very clean ... did see one mouse in the back closet when we were trying to figure out well water pump (read further down) but, hey, if I were a mouse, I would want to live here! We had snacks out on top of the frig and in cabinets & NEVER saw any evidence of mouse getting into anything (think we startled him as much as he startled us😄) We found the bed to be comfy and provided coffee in jar in frig surprisingly good. Areas we wanted to hike were a bit spread out, so a bit of driving around on a few narrow roads in an area with almost nonexistent cell/internet, but liked location & privacy. Road in cabin complex itself is narrow & a bit hilly, and rain can quickly make bumps/ruts, so glad we had a truck, but seems they are on top of re-graveling maintenance. Prob since so remote, power can go out, and it did with a round of passing storms ... found power off returning from a hike, so went into Logan for a beer, and were happy to find it back on when we got back ... BUT water was not working ... went into back closet (mouse:)) to check electric panel and well pump all switches seemed to be on ... went to another cabin and was told phone to owners on outside of one of the cabins & called for help ... not even realizing there was a land line phone in our own cabin 🙄 ... owners tried to trouble shoot, then offered to send son out to help ... poor kid took an hour to get there on a Sunday around 9pm ... he couldn’t get to work on same tries we did ... told him we could live without the water since leaving the next day, but then after a call he returned & figured out a special way to work well pump switch to get water back (YEY). Of course weather cooperating with our hikes & water activities added to our positive view of the area, but if you had to be rained in, the cabin would be cozy. Would look to stay here again if return to area.

We took a very short much needed trip to Hocking hills for hiking and relaxing. We stayed at The Chateau and it was bigger then what we needed but it had absolutely everything we needed. It had a fire pit, charcoal grill and a propane grill! The bed was comfortable and we had plenty towels. It was so private and picturesque. I can not say enough how much we enjoyed our stay. I hope we can get away again soon and I hope it’s to the chateau.
