The cabin is being advertised under false clames. There site and there emails say free wifi, but once you get on site there is a note saying no music, video or games are to be used on the wifi, extra chargers may apply. How can you advertise free wifi and then threaten to charge your gusts for using it! It's absolutely infuriating that they use lies to sell there cabin. I would avoid going to any cabins ran by this group as who knows what other info they don't mention on there site or confirmation emails.
This little gem of a place I want to keep a secret. Perfect place to get away from it all. No cell in the area so bring directions printed and a physical map. PROS: Clean Comfortable Beds Quaint cottage and setting Hot Tub/ Fire Pit Location in the heart of Hocking Hills No cell phone service=peace and quiet Privacy as no other cottages close by Gas grill/charcoal grill CONS: None We cannot wait to return to this magical place. Maybe in a different season.
I stayed in the Peace Pipe cabin over thanksgiving this year with my parents, boyfriend, and our pup. It was a perfect fit for the 4 of us. The hot tub was super relaxing every night and they outdoor space in general was really beautiful. The indoor fireplace was comfortable and relaxing to hang around and read your book by. The kitchen was well equipped (even for a thanksgiving dinner!) and very clean and well maintained. I would recommend bringing a few extra blankets since there weren’t any extras for the beds or hanging on the couch with but other than that we had everything we needed. Lots of great hiking nearby and cute little coffee shop as well. I will definitely be back! Thanks for the great stay!
I’m giving our stay 5 stars because we truly enjoyed being away with no cell service for two days! We stayed in the Dreamcatcher cabin. It’s a cozy little place with two small bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s private and quiet, and you will have zero service on your phone. No WiFi or anything. That made my husband a little anxious as he has a very stressful job and couldn’t answer emails for two days. But, he needed it. There’s a hot tub out back and that was maybe my favorite part. We spent a lot of time there in the evening. Inside, the gas fireplace is perfect. I curled up on the couch with a book one morning and read for hours. We didn’t get to stay long, but if you need it, there’s a full kitchen with just about everything you’d need. There’s a fire ring out back that we didn’t have a chance to use, but you can easily purchase bundles of firewood. My one complaint is about the beds/pillows. My goodness the bed was awful! Zero stars. It was hard and uncomfortable (and we sleep on a firm bed at home, this was like a block of wood). The pillows had no fluff or give. We just couldn’t get comfortable. I got up at 6am the first morning after tossing and turning most of the night. My back was a mess. On day 2, we both woke up around 6 and wound up leaving as soon as it was light out because we were in pain and exhausted. All that said, we’d probably come back. Maybe try another cabin even. We hiked Old Mans Cave and had some great food at the Old Dutch and Captain Rons Pirate Pizza. It was definitely worth the drive up for some unplugged peace. 😊 …
Love the entire place. Great hosts as well . The setting and owners are just so kind and the property has everything needed for a get away weekend (or week). The pond is my favorite. The trails close by good times
