7 of us stayed 3 nights in a 12 person Villa for a family get-together vacation (5 adults, 2 kids 4 and 7.) We didn't expect a luxury resort, but were very disappointed with the sub-par standards. Pros: Wonderful staff in the office and pool bar Great location, can walk everywhere The pool doesn't get over-crowded, plenty of lounge chairs always available The large hot tub is a plus Loved the oldies music played at the pool Cons: Everything needs serious updating, it feels old and worn Our Villa was less than clean, as in vomit remains on the base of 1 of the beds, a few dead bugs, stains and cigarette burns on the patio cushions, filthy ashtray on patio table They don't tell you on the website nor when you make your reservation that there is no daily maid service in the Villas. So you have to take out your own trash, and go to the office for clean bath towels, toilet paper, etc. (they leave very little in the room when you check in.) There are zero bathroom amenities other than a hair dryer and soap & lotion dispenser on the wall next to the sink. NO SOAP in the showers, not to mention those usual extras you get at most hotels/resorts like shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, etc. It is NOT noted on the website floor plans for the Villas that there is no door for privacy in one of the second floor bedrooms With the A/C cranked up, it remained very hot and stuffy in the first floor bedroom, vents open (although the rest of the unit was comfortable temp-wise) Splash pad promoted on the website didn't exist/was non-operational Pool & hot tub experience was great until our last day when a group of late teens/20 somethings took it over; all parents and their kids finally got out for an hour or so (for their own safety) until this group was done with their football playing & whatever. A football wild throw missed my daughter's head by inches--and she was lying in a chair on the pool deck! Surprising to me there is no management supervision at the pool. The weirdest of all: our last full day (7/9/19) we came back to the Villa mid-afternoon, and our door was left not fully shut, it was unlocked! Someone had gone in, made up 2 of the 7 beds, and then left---go figure!!! I reported this to the office, they apologized, but that was all. Our family still had an awesome time together, but were pretty disappointed in the Put-In-Bay Resort and will not be going back there again.

This was my fourth trip to PIB and third time staying at this hotel. This trip was with my husband and 3 other couples (early 30’s); we were in an 8 person Villa on property. I love the Villa option as it has separate space for each couple along with a basic kitchen, living space, and patio. We utilized the shared grilling space outside as well, which was a huge plus. As mentioned the kitchen is basic: full size fridge, microwave, two burner glass cook top, and dishwasher. There's no oven and the pots, pans, and dishware are minimal but enough to get some 2-star meals cooked. The property is great for the party crowd on the weekends during summer. I could imagine it would be okay for families Sunday-Wednesday but that could be risky. Music is bumping all day and into the early night which was exactly what we were looking for. You could hear it inside the Villa so unless you are a heavy sleeper it's a bit hard to grab an afternoon power nap. The pool is like spring break for adults with booty shaking contests and more. The Blue Marlin bartenders work hard and deserve their tips. This was my first time ordering food from the Blue Marlin, and although it basic “bar food”, it was just want we needed after a long day at the swim up bar. The front desk staff was fast and efficient. Out of my three stays here I haven't had anything negative to say about this place. Some of the reviews make me nervous about returning but until something happens to me or someone in my party we'll continue to come back to our favorite crash pad in the Bay. Thanks again for another memorable stay.

We went here to spend the day with family and friends at the pool bar! After a few hours in the water(myself being disabled)and spending a lot of $ on food and drinks we decided to go lay on the pool chairs and rest for a bit before going back in. After about 15 minutes we had cold water thrown on us and we're thrown out because it was assumed we were sleeping! No warning or anything!!! What kind of place does this?! We definitely won't be back.

From the amazing front desk staff to our spotless room and top notch golf cart I have zero complaints about our stay. The weather was less than great but this resort made up for that small negative. The bar had fantastic drinks and the pool experience is unmatched anywhere else. You cannot get a better deal with all these amazing perks anywhere else on the island! Will be returning year after year!!

If you are coming to Put-in-Bay to party, then this is the best place you could ever stay. The pool is packed everyday from 9am-11pm and a DJ blaring music and girls half naked. If you want to come to PIB for any other reason do not come and stay at this hotel. If you have kids stay far away from this place. You have to be 21 just to be able to use the pool Thursday-Sunday. The rooms were nice and clean, but you can hear music all night long.
