Very pleasant place to stay when visiting the Oxford area - very nice hosts, very nice grounds, 5 minutes to campus. If you need to work during the day, plenty of places to grab a quiet area and get out the laptop and phone. Complimentary waters, beers and wine - the owners understand hospitality! Good venue/location/facility if you're planning on hosting an event. Liked sitting out on the porch at night and listening to the million crickets.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful White Garden Inn and are so grateful to you for being such delightful hosts. The location was perfect for us to visit our daughter at Miami University and enjoy the charming town of Oxford. Quinn and Laura were extremely helpful and gracious and made us feel so welcome and right at home. Our room was gorgeous and so beautifully decorated. The bed was so amazingly comfortable that we slept in later than we anticipated on Sunday. We especially enjoyed the fireplace and the elegant bathroom with all of the wonderful shower products. We will enthusiastically recommend The White Garden Inn to our friends and can’t wait to return again!
I wanted to read the one "Poor" review in TripAdvisor--how could anyone not be charmed? It turns out that review was written in 2008, years before the current owners bought the place. Ignore it. The current owners couldn't have been more welcoming. Thanks to Covid 19 could we meet our college student grandson outside? Of course, on the patio, the several porches, or the gazebo. Could his aunt and uncle from Cincinnati visit as well? Of course...and there were complimentary beverages in the mini-fridge. The Inn was purpose-built so the public rooms and the bedrooms are large and beautifully furnished. No waiting for hot water in the shower. Great mattress, we almost overslept. Breakfast was worth getting up for. There are two beautiful children and a friendly cockapoo. I could go on, but just read other 5 star reviews.…
We stayed here one night while dropping off our daughter at Miami. We got in late, slept in late then left. The owners were very easy to work with. It was about half the cost of a hotel in town and only about a 5 minute drive from Oxford. Large old home with wonderful gardens and big comfortable rooms. We travel quite a bit and this definitely met all our needs ~ a charming venue.
I made a two-night reservation for White Garden Inn back in September, to make sure my wife & I had a guaranteed room for the weekend dates we wanted in January. When we arrived, the Inn's owner (covering for his daughter & son-in-law who were away on a mini-vacation of their own) was unaware of our plans to stay with them over the weekend. Luckily, I always make & carry a copy of my E-mail confirmation sheet and the room that I chose was still available. After that brief bit of confusion, my wife & I enjoyed a comfortable and relaxing second stay @ WGI. We slept in the very large Butterfly Room on the second floor, and appreciated the new King bed as well as the space to move around & relax. The guest common space immediately adjacent was a handy spot to grab a cup of tea or coffee and lounge for awhile. The same level of comfort & accommodation are featured in the 1st floor sunroom at the back of the very large house, where we hung out before breakfasts & enjoyed watching the birds feeding in the garden. There's also a mini-fridge under the sunroom refreshment bar with complimentary soft drinks for the Inn guests. Breakfast each morning provided variety & fresh ingredients, and the conversations with the Inn owners (Katie & Michael) and our fellow guests from other hometowns were a nice treat. For the quiet comfort & country atmosphere not too far from town, we will return to White Garden Inn the next time we travel to Oxford.…
This beautiful Inn was the perfect place to have our daughters Baby Shower. The owners were very accommodating to our every need. This Inn is gorgeous. Inside you find very large rooms and Beautiful settings. It is a wonderful atmosphere and unique place to stay and visit. It a must when you visit in this area. The innkeepers are friendly and very helpful. It is brilliantly clean and just amazing. You won’t be disappointed.
White Garden Inn was a perfect place to host the bridal party and family to celebrate my daughter’s wedding in Oxford, OH. Quinn and Laura did an outstanding job making everything perfect with all our special requests and changes. We can’t recommend them enough and hope to have other family gathering here in the future.
Our family has used the WGI to host 2 retirement parties. The house is gorgeous and offers plenty of setup space for food, lots of seating options, use of the kitchen, a beautiful wrap around porch, and even a swing set and plenty of yard space for kids to run around. Many out of town guests commented on what a hidden gem it is. Quinn and Laura are great to work with and I'm sure we will be back for more celebrations.
As a Miami Merger, my husband and I get back to Oxford at least once a year. This is the first time we stayed at the White Garden Inn, but it will not be the last!! The inn is beautiful and very comfortable. Quinn and Laura are warm and welcoming, and very accommodating. We had to leave before breakfast on Sunday, but Laura made sure there were homemade muffins and fruit for us to take for the road. We will definitely be staying at the White Garden Inn again!
We went to college at Miami, so 50 years later, we will be visiting again, and staying at this fabulous B&B for our reunion. It's off the beaten path, the rooms are vintage and lovely, and the owners are terrific. I even have one of their recipes they served for breakfast - it was that good!
