We found this place at the last minute and the experience was perfect! The place was very clean and well run with lovely decorations throughout including the garden. Almost didn't want to leave for birding which was our primary reason for going to that area. We stayed three days and each breakfast setting was superb with friendly guests. It's the kind of place you will not forget but treasure. Highly recommended if you can get in.

Jim and Dee run a wonderful bed and breakfast. We stayed here for one night and wished we could stay longer just to chat with them! The room was clean and charming, the breakfast was fabulous, and Jim and Dee are lovely, engaging people. Plus the state park across the street is a great place to walk or go to the beach. The grounds are lovely, too.

Recently spent 2 nights with Jim & Dee at their rustic B&B in Oregon, Ohio. We had a Coach House room, which was large, had a jacuzzi tub and a huge balcony. Just a few miles from Toledo, it was close to many birding locations on the south shore of Lake Erie. While the 20 acre property is rural, Jim & Dee have furnished it to a high standard and amenities are high quality also. Breakfast is a highlight, with Dee's fabulous home cooking - and you'll feel like family; right at home with fascinating & wide-ranging conversation. Truly a gem!

Outstanding experience. Accommodations, setting, meals and hosts all deserve top ratings. Rest of family stayed at State Park accommodations and could not believe how much superior our accommodations were. Highly recommend no matter what your requirements are.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Accomodations were clean and cozy. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and Jim and Dee were perfect hosts! Got up from the table at 11:30 after a 9am breakfast! So many laughs. I would go back any time

My husband & I stayed at Bayview for 4 nights while birding. The B&B is charming, comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for birding the area (Magee Marsh, Metzger Marsh, Ottowa NWR, etc.). There's good birding on the B&B property as well. The hosts are sweet & accommodating; breakfasts & baked goods were excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed one night at this lovely B&B and were very pleased with the beautifully appointed room and the extraordinary service. Upon arrival we were met by the owner who told us about the property and our rooms - and the carrot cake waiting for us. Delicious! The room and bed was very roomy and comfortable. We had a lovely balcony where we relaxed and enjoyed the wooded quiet. We enjoyed dinner that evening at a local restaurant, The Oregon Inn, recommended by our host. We returned to the B&B and were greeted with fresh from the oven chocolate chip muffins - again, delicious! Breakfast was great too and included the best strawberry soup I've ever had. We will definitely return!

We were in town for a birding trip and wanted a place to stay that would accommodate our early or late hours. The Bayview B&B was perfect. We were not in the main structure but rather in side building which had two bedrooms which seemed to be decorated out as bridal suites. The rooms were nicely appointed and had a large hot tub as part of the decor. The room came with a small frig, microwave, silverware and cutlery which meant we could prepare our own light breakfasts at the time we wanted and did not have to coordinate our desires with that of the host. The only negative and it was not that important for our purposes, the internet was pretty weak and not always available. The surrounding groups were very nice.

We visited again to do a little bird watching and once again had a delightful visit. The owners are fantastic, the breakfasts are delicious, the rooms are clean and classy, and you feel well looked after while also feeling that you have some privacy. You are about one mile from Maumee Bay State Park and about a fifteen minute drive from the main birding areas to the east. We are looking forward to visiting again next spring.

Bayview Inn is a wonderful, welcoming treasure located close to Maumee Bay and Toledo and Sandusky attractions. The queen suites were spotless, cozy and inviting, with thoughtful touches including candles, books, magazines, wonderful soaps and a relaxing jacuzzi. Complimentary tea and coffee round out these inviting rooms decorated with antiques. Our host and hostess, Jim and Dee welcome you and feed you a deluxe gourmet breakfast during your stay, along with sharing an insider's knowledge of what to do, where to go and great restaurants. Don't miss this tranquil, relaxing and top notch bed and breakfast.
