Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for a long weekend in June. We arrived at check-in time on Friday. They had us come into a hut to check-in and then said pull forward and a golf cart will come to take you to your site. No one ever came. So, we started into the campground ourselves to find our site. The campground is huge, so it took a lot of maneuvering around to find our site eventually. The campground is clean and has a lot of fun activities. The water park is amazing. Inflatables, ziplines, a shallow area and kayaks/canoes to borrow. You are required to wear life jackets, but they are included in the price, so no big deal. Our main issue came with our dog. The kids were playing in the water park and my husband and I set up chairs in the grass, well back from the water with our dog on Saturday. We were there for five hours with no issues. We came back on Sunday and sat in the exact same spot. Security came by and told us we had to be behind the fence, outside the water park. No where was there signage telling us this. The only sign mentioned no outside alcohol in the water park, however many, many people had it and nothing was said. So, my husband had to stand outside the fence with our dog, while everyone else played, which was ridiculous. On our last day, we had to check out at 11, but told the kids we'd stop on the way out of the park to let them enjoy the water park one more time. We get up there, with our camper, only to find out that the water park doesn't open until noon on Mondays, when over the weekend it was 11. My kids were so disappointed. Once again, no signs anywhere stating hours. We have no problem following rules, or adhering to schedules, but there was no communication of any of it. When we asked for a copy of the weekend's activities, they told us to check our phones. They charge for wifi and we don't have a data plan, so we had no way to check our phones. They eventually did provide us a paper copy after our insistence. The water park was amazing, but the rest of the issues left a sour note to our stay. We're not sure if we'll ever return.

I stayed 3 nights in a Deluxe Lakeside Suite. The cabin was very clean upon arrival aside from the inside of the microwave- it was repulsive. I was disappointed to see that there was no dish soap provided as it makes the likelihood that previous campers have actually washed the dishes lower. Thankfully I brought my own but felt I needed to "pre-wash" every dish I used. There was no TV in the cabin, which was fine since the weather was nice, but it would have been a huge bummer for my kids if the weather was crappy.
The camp store was pitiful. I wouldn't count on buying much there.
The water park was very fun. Considering how busy it was, it was very clean and they were very vigilant in making sure everyone followed the rules. Life jackets were mandatory in most areas and were free to use. There were lots of options for the younger guests as well which I appreciated. The rest of the park was clean and kept up. It is a huge park. We didn't even find the mini golf or make it to the jump pillow! With that being said, while it was a busy weekend, it was quiet which we appreciated. People weren't loud at night or in early morning. We had a great time and would definitely consider staying again.

A few issues staying here. Granted it was a busy holiday weekend and the place was packed but some things could be improved.
Stayed in a travel trailer, sight was on a steep hill. I had to have my wife (coming later) stop and pick up extra shoring due to slope. When we left we noticed we were the only sight that didn’t have complimentary blocks and more then likely the seasonal behind as had swiped them. The attendant that shuttles you to the sight made no mention.
Lots of seasonals who apparently feel they rule the place. Leaving “slow kids” signs in middle of road and Couldn’t get thru with camper due to holiday swag right at edge of the road and sign. Got out to move sign (didn’t want to run over swag or sign) and got chastised by the seasonal owner for touching it. I’m all for the signage but his behavior was unacceptable due to the circumstances.
Another issue, can’t say as I’ve been to a campground and have been scolded by an employee for being in the wrong line. Place is huge and it’s all on one map. My wife couldn’t locate the washer and dryer facility on the map. So we stopped in at the head office to inquire. She went inside and was screamed at by an employee that the line was outside. Now mind you the line she referred to is outside under a huge sign that says “check in”. We weren’t checking in. A poor process flow as this single point is used for all the campground AND the day trippers showing up to the swim park. Needless to say I asked the putt-putt lady who was kind enough to point us in the right direction.
I was also reminded by a campground attendant that my tire of my tow vehicle was literally 6” on my neighbors campsite. I asked if they had complained and was informed no they hadn’t. I moved my vehicle promptly. The neighbor and I had started some friendly chit chat later that evening, at which point he told me, this same attendant approached him to let him know she had informed us to move our vehicle and he had come over to apologize for her.
The place is fun for kids, lots to do and they had fun, which is what matters I guess. But this place needs improvement on customer service and weed out some bad apples.
Don’t forget bikes or golf cart to get from campground to swim park.

Since I was a little girl, Clay's park was always the place to make wonderful memories and experience time with friends and family. Two years ago, I wanted to allow my children to experience the same amazing adventures I once did and brought my family to Clays as seasonal campers. I was warned about new ownership, but did not heed that warning. Unfortunately, Northgate has torn away everything that once was from so many caring, friendly, hard-working families. Two years in a row, my family was kicked off their spot and forced to scramble to find new footing with very little time to do so. They have drastically raised their prices across the board and never provided the amenities promised in those increases. Campers waited the entire summer in hopes to swim in the new pool. My children were able to swim one time and got yelled in the hot tub because "it is only for relaxation". There was literally no one else around! And they were only floating from one side to the other. Zero splashing, zero yelling, zero horse play. Apparently, the "relaxation zone" has required seating.
Clay's park was once the most amazing places around, run by a great family. But with much sadness, I write this to forewarn any potential campers, that I would NOT recommend Clay's Park. The chances are very high you will just find yourself disappointed. Northgate has ruined any chance of continuing the legacy this park once was. I will forever cherish the wonderful people I have met along the way.

worst jellystone i have ever visited. restroom are filthy dirty and when cleaned filthy again after 20 minutes because they leave the floor soaked and do not mop it dry people track in it over and over leaving foot prints. hours cleaning doesn't start till 9 in the morning so restrooms are not clean at start of the day which should be cleaned at 7 in the morning and every 2 hrs. wi fi sucked afyer 9 no way to get computer on internet. never saw yogi all week. fishing sucked but that was expected cause most of them do. swimming and paddle boarding lake was great. so don't expect to much out of house keeping for example restroom close to my camper was cleaned every other day during the week. first and last time going here.

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the condition of the bathrooms during your visit. We have a cleaning rotation in place, but unfortunately, some campers are not respecting the facilities, making it challenging to maintain cleanliness. We are currently working with our executive housekeeper to develop a better plan for our public bathrooms. When it comes to the wifi, we are currently in the process of upgrading our entire system to make it better for all campers. We do apologize this had not been completed during your visit. We do hope you'll give us another chance once it's completed. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our water attractions, they're a camper favorite for sure!

As a former seasonal camper I would not recommend it to seasonal campers nor regular weekend campers. They are very over priced on their sites and they don’t offer as much for the kids as other Jelleystones. Mill-Run and Kozy Rest are much better for families. As far as seasonal campers this was our first year there and was notified along with 44 others that we were being displaced for cabins to be put in. Some campers have been there for 18+year and have park model campers. They are giving use about 2 months to have everything off the property. They notice was taped to our camper doors. They offer another site but this happened last year to a few at this same place, and is happening aging. So why take a chance for a third time plus they don’t have 45 open sites to put all of us. Not to mention they raised the seasonal rate to almost $5000 just for a regular site not even on the lake or close to anything. This park is owned by Northgate and is just using the Jellystone name they don’t care about the kids or morals. I will never be camper here again after this season and we have our camper off and safe either at home or at a new camp. Which again it’s so late in the year it’s hard to find any place with an opening. All this place has is the lake and now a pool that just opened for about 3 weeks and closed now after Labor Day they have nothing going for them. My advice save your time and money go to Mohican, KOA, Mill-Run or Kozy -Rest. Anything that Nothgate doesn’t own. #clayspark #nothgate #jellystone

We had a great time at camping at Clay’s park! The entire area was clean, the kids were safe while playing in the fun zone area at the lake with the required life jackets. We loved that they allowed rafts/tube in the chill zone area. The park is large so you will need a golf cart to enjoy it. Definitely would recommend spending some time here!

We stayed at Clay's 3 nights and had a great time. We have 2 teen boys who really enjoyed the swim lake inflatables and paddle boarding. My husband and I spent most of our time in the pool and the hot tub which was very nice and well maintained. The pool area had several tables with umbrellas which was perfect for relaxing.
We stayed in a Cozy Cabin which is small but was all we needed. We only slept and showered in it, the rest of the time was all outdoors and sitting by the campfire, cooking on the charcoal grill. The only thing we did not like was the bed. Our full size mattress was uncomfortable so we blew up an air mattress and threw it on top.
A golf cart rental was key. You could drive a car but we loved riding around on the golf cart in the evenings.
We went during the week and avoided the weekend, which I heard was much more crowded....like everywhere else.

Hospitality nonexistent and facility unsafe. Booked a weekend get away in July which turned into a nightmare weekend which cost us twice as much in the end. Had to run out to get medicine late Saturday evening and on the way back in the GPS took us to the entrance of the water park where it was dark. The park had one lane blocked and ended up driving over spike strips which blew out our front tires. They had a sign but it was not visible driving up. At that time we called the park for help and no one came or would help. Had to leave the car at the entrance. Next morning walked to the car and again no one would help us. Being 2 1/2 hours from home and no park assistance was ridiculous. Finally was able to get a hold of a manager and they said it was our fault and there was nothing they can do to help. I had to call a tow truck and have the car towed a half hour to get new tires. Several park residents stopped and said this happens several times and the park takes no responsibility. When my car was towed I noticed park employees moving the not visible sign in front of the spike strips where it should have been in the first place. Also just a few other things about the nightmare weekend. The prices for necessities inside the park is marked up about 300%. There are no signs to tell you where to go or how to get out of the park and finally there is no true security. We have 3 pre- teens who were exposed to drug use near the basketball court early in the evening. This was truly disturbing and there was no security to report this to. We will never go here or to any other faculty this company owns. They take no responsibility for anything that happens in there park and have no compassion for people in trouble.

We stayed in fireworks hill cabins opening weekend. The cabins were very nice. The 2 star review is because all the activities that were listed as open during off season were not open including the arcade. The website was not updated on this until the Friday before we checked in then was changed and listed as "under construction" Pretty much none of the activities went on in the rec room that were listed and what activities did happen were mismanaged. Outdoor laser tag canceled, outdoor jump pillows never opened, no bait in the store for fishing, arcade under construction. The kids were just disappointed because they literally had nothing to do on a rainy weekend which was a shame with that new big rec center, there could have been all kinds of activities going on inside for the kids. I know it was opening weekend but a simple game of indoor kickball or something along those lines could have worked out better than kids trying to teach kids how to do arts n crafts that they don't even know how to do or laying coloring sheets out...just didn't seem up to par for Clays/Jellystone.

I believe I saw some people fishing if I remember correctly. I have to many campground and they all blend together. I do know they have kayaka and paddleboard for rental
It is shallow near the edges and goes to 10-18 ft deep near the inflatables and slides.
Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, we have a parking lot adjacent to the swimming lake and water park. If your children are under the age of 14, they must be attended by an adult at all times while at the water park. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
