Nestled in a picturesque setting, The Inn at Honey Run is lauded for its serene atmosphere and aesthetically pleasing ambiance, with cozy rooms that offer peace and privacy, highlighted by some guests for their cleanliness and comfort. The hotel's location is celebrated for its natural beauty, making it an ideal spot for special getaways.
While the staff receives compliments for professionalism, there have been occasional service hiccups. Despite offering commendable amenities like private patios and an on-site restaurant, some visitors feel that the value is diminished by the high costs and missing conveniences such as refrigerators.

What a wonderful experience we had at The Inn at Honey Run! It’s the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room in the Honeycombs was comfortable and private. With the trails, sheep and beautiful countryside we found it a great stress reducer. The Tarragon Dining Room is expensive, but with a 5 star Chef you’re in for a dining experience you’ll remember for a long time. Thank you, Inn at Honey Run, we look forward to returning for no special reason at all.

I booked a honeycomb room in February so we could enjoy some time away during the fall. With the Inn being diligent about COVID guidelines, we decided to keep our reservation. The honeycomb rooms are separate from the main inn, and we were very comfortable with this seclusion and the ability to have meals delivered to our room. The grounds are beautiful and interspersed with artwork and animals to enjoy while exploring + Mohican is a short drive away. The food and service were top notch. I would recommend the Inn under normal circumstances but would highly encourage this as a destination during these challenging times.

I had originally booked a suite but it was under remodeling when we arrived so we were put in a Honeycomb; which was fine and almost as nice. The room was comforting! We did not have an opportunity to walk the property but based on what we saw, I am sure it is beautiful. The restaurant is phenomenal! The chef came out to meet us prior to selecting our meals; which ultimately lead me towards the lamb neck; which I have never had and extremely glad I ordered it. Service was friendly and on the spot our entire time there. Can't wait to go back!!!!! The only thing to surprise me was dinner was not included with our stay. Our experience at other B&B, retreats, resorts, etc is dinner is included (minus alcohol); especially when we pay as much as we did for the room.

Amenities were nice but customer service was atrocious; the customer service attendant was stoic and unwilling to work with us when it came to disagreement on the terms of our stay. In short, we were charged for a separate club house suite despite the fact that the website states that you can have a 3rd person in the room for an upcharge of $45. In addition, the website is misleading as to what the difference is between a regular club house suite versus the preferred club house suite. The only difference between the two is that the preferred suite is closer to the "private" entrance (i.e. meaning that the regular clubhouse is only one or two rooms away from the door). Otherwise there is no difference in service or amenities.

Cold and raw steak in evening. Replacement steak was cold...mainly due to frozen butter they put on top. Cold waffle in morning with same frozen butter on top. Disappointing. Balcony off room was filthy...they need to sweep at least daily and wipe the chairs off. Their room rates are not cheap!

We stayed for two nights as a belated Mother's Day celebration. The Honeycombs were recently refurbished with beautiful décor and super comfy beds. There is a charger base on the night stand for your electronics. There are thoughtful details like a personal safe, small refrigerator, and coffee maker in the room along with baked treats from the chef. The bottle of wine is extra, but available if you choose. They have also installed a charging station for your electric car. We ate breakfast and dinner at Tarragon as well as enjoying the complementary hors d'oeuvres in the Juniper lounge. The menus are not the traditional large selection of meals, but a smaller collection of more gourmet entrees. There was only one vegetarian entrée; maybe they could create an "all sides" option where the diner could select three side dishes as their main course?

The Inn is a great vacation spot for those who like peace, quiet, beauty, comfort, good service, friendly staff, delicious food and the opportunity to hike on the property. We so enjoyed the beauty of the fall decorations, the open air art museum on the hiking trail in the woods, the delicious food and excellent service in the dining room, and the cleanliness and comfort of our room, which featured pillow top mattresses. We enjoyed viewing the birds that came to the feeders outside our window. The Inn is a very special place, and we can't wait to return.

Stayed in cabin with four people. Charged extra for two additional people but only one room had robes and one bathroom had towels. The hot tub was not clean. When we ordered breakfast for 4, only received two sets of silverware and were told they couldn't bring more silverware because she had other breakfasts to deliver so two of us ate with our fingers. Asked for more towels and didn't receive them so didn't even take a shower in the morning. Stayed here many times before but feel the service has declined significantly. When I mentioned all that happened at the front desk at checkout...only response was "sorry" that 's it.

Though we did overall enjoy our time at the Inn at Honey Run, we would probably not return. The price was expensive, a little under $400 per night. For that price, we had a slightly larger than average hotel room and limited amenities. The room did not even have a microwave in it. We are night owls and enjoy staying up late on vacation, so not having the option to reheat leftover food and with room service closing at 9pm, it felt more restrictive than if we had stayed at a Holiday Inn. Furthermore, for that price, a complimentary continental breakfast was not offered, which I believe should be standard, especially for the cost. At the club level, we were offered appetizers and wine, which was 1 small plate for two and one glass of wine each. The food was delicious but again, it was only a small token for having paid extra for club-level. The internet speed was excellent, as were the channels offered on the TV. However, the TV was 32” which is acceptable but due for an upgrade considering less expensive hotels usually have a nicer setup. The bed was extremely comfortable! I wish the TV could swivel more to watch TV in bed. The table in the room was a nice addition, but the chairs were fairly uncomfortable. The couch was comfortable but looking dated. We loved the fireplace and how easy it was to turn on.
The grounds were lovely, relaxing, and quiet and we enjoyed our time walking around and listening to birds.
Ultimately, though we enjoyed our experience, we would probably not return as we know of places that offer more for less.
I do want to comment on the service because it was excellent and the staff was extremely quick to respond and very friendly.

We choose the Inn at Honey Run to celebrate our anniversary. The person at the front desk was friendly when we arrived but it was difficult to understand her because she wore a mask and was behind a plastic wall. We were shocked to enter our outdated guest room and find only a bed, 2 chairs, nightstand and a TV. It appeared a desk and dresser had been removed. Bathroom was small & outdated. One very outdated wall hanging. We had a view of the woods and a bird feeder that attracted birds, squirrels and raccoons that was kind of entertaining. This room was extremely overpriced for what it offered. When checking out. We were asked if we enjoyed our experience. I hesitantly answered that it was “ok” in front of the receptionist and another person who I believe was a manager. My expression was clearly dissatisfied and neither employee cared to hear anymore about our experience. This is NOT good customer service. They should’ve wanted to know what was less that great about our experience. In addition, we had a reservation for dinner at the Tarragon. We arrived on time at 8 PM but were told we needed to wait because they were busy. There were only 10 customers (using 5 tables) in the entire restaurant!! The hostess who was also a waitress seemed overwhelmed and unfriendly. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table without a view. There were several empty tables as they were not seating full capacity due to COVID-19. No real reason for this wait and no apology. On a positive note, our waitress was lovely and our food was tasty. We were also thankful they offered us bread before our meal because we were quite hungry. Even though we enjoyed our meal, the entire experience felt over priced. This is not a place that cares about making customers happy or getting repeat business.

We had a room on the lower level on the end. The landscaping gives you privacy until a nosy guest goes off the path and wanders by. I didn’t see an elevator to get to the upstairs but that doesn’t mean their isn’t one. I was just glad we didn’t have to haul our belongings upstairs. It was really quiet. As stated by other reviewers, the rooms are a bit worn but you will be at peace here.
Hi Doris, Our Preferred Club-Level Honeycombs provide a higher level of privacy and seclusion. They are located on either end of the Honeycombs building. Additionally, the patios are fully surrounded by the rock-lined walls, whereas our Club-Level Honeycombs are rock-lined on one side of the patio and fenced on the other side.
Having checked with the Inn, I can tell you that their mattresses are handmade by a local Amish company and are hypoallergenic as are their pillows. I believe that they have a pillow-type top. They are certainly comfortable, especially for the king-sized bed in my experience.
You could get a wheelchair in easily throughout the building.
