This historic B&B is a century-old dairy farm transformed into an 11-room Inn just minutes from both downtown Millersburg and Berlin, Ohio, in the heart of Amish Country. The barn was built in 1919 and restored to this beautiful Bed and Breakfast in 1997. Each room offers complete quiet and relaxation while also featuring the comforts you would expect at home: Free WiFi, HDTV, en-suite bathrooms, private interior and exterior entrances, refrigerators, balcony access, and luxurious, Amish-made mattresses. Six of these are suites and include jacuzzi tubs, expansive living spaces, pull-out sofas, and fireplaces. A hot mad from scratch, gourmet, Amish-style breakfast is served each morning to every guest in the Barn at no additional cost, and complimentary home-made snacks are available in the afternoon.

I could write a book on the reason's to stay at this end. However, I will be brief. The Inn Keepers are the nicest in the Industry. They truly appreciate you staying with them and do everything to make your stay the finest. The Inn is always being refreshed, it is spotless, the rooms are a great size when wanting a little alone time in the room to relax, the small "gifts" that are in your room upon your arrival are a great touch and are local to Amish Country, the reference materials they have in the room give you little hidden gems to visit that you might not know of, the breakfast in the morning is delicious and many products used to make breakfast are purchased from local farms, having a small refrigerator in the room is nice along with bottles of water for your consumption, a wonderful backyard outdoor area for the comforts of their guests and last but certainly worth noting twice the Inn Keepers are WONDERFUL people.

We had a wonderful stay at The Barn Inn Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in the Vintage Rose suite. Complimentary cupcakes (for our anniversary), chocolates, a mini strawberry jam, and waters were in our room when we arrived. Michelle showed us around and we were thrilled by the comfort of the bed, couch and recliner. The bathroom was modern, clean, and roomy. The country decor included many antiques, including Michelle's grandmother's wedding dress (placed high on a ledge so as not to be disturbed). The whole atmosphere really was perfect for Amish country.
The true highlight of our stay, though, had to be the two breakfasts we enjoyed. For Friday morning, Gene prepared custard French toast, egg/swiss/cheddar/bacon/salsa on phyllo dough, maple sausage, and a homemade chia seed yogurt parfait. Saturday morning we enjoyed cream cheese blueberry pancakes (gluten free...though you never would have guessed), peppered sausage, bacon/sweet potato quiche, and banana nut coffee cake with a streusel topping. The coffee was wonderful (and plentiful). Orange juice and cranberry juice were also offered. Most all ingredients and accompaniments were locally sourced. We enjoyed every last bite and were able to skip lunches because the breakfasts were so generous.
Overall, I can't recommend The Barn Inn enough. We have stayed at most of the other hotels in the area and they can't even compare. We are sometimes cautious about bed and breakfasts because we do like things to be neat and tidy (not too cluttered) but The Barn Inn gives you just enough country charm mixed with hotel luxury to make it the perfect place for a get-away. We can't wait to come back!

The Barn Inn and Bed and Breakfast was literally the ultimate place to get away and relax. First, the rooms were gorgeous! We stayed in the Renaissance Room and it was so pretty. Bed was comfy, the jacuzzi tub was amazing. I also cannot tell you enough that the whole room was spotless clean. You can really tell that their cleaning staff really wipes everything down, I couldn't find a speck of dirt anywhere, including the bathroom. I have been to several bed and breakfasts in my life time and you can tell that some places don't take the time to clean it properly. This was not the case here, like I said before there was not one dirty spec anywhere, it was truly spotless. We pre-ordered a cheese and chocolate basket ahead of time and it was waiting for us in our room. We had a patio outside which was great! It was pouring rain at the time and me and my husband were playing cards. The patio was roofed so we didn't get wet at all. The owners were so incredibly nice. They put wonderful touches of decorations all around the place. There was a coffee station as well as movies to choose from, games and puzzles. This is the only bed and breakfast that I know of that orders massage therapists to come for a in room massage if you want. We stayed for two nights and I will stay again here soon, we did not care about the cost, we were on vacation and on our honeymoon. I one hundred percent recommend this place.

This B&B was exactly the experience we were seeking for a Covid-19 getaway weekend in Amish Country. Very clean and practicing all safety protocols to keep everyone safe. Beautiful Inn and rooms with attention to detail inside and outside, the gourmet breakfasts were awesome and all served with locally sourced products. The proprietors Gene and his wife Michelle were very welcoming, helpful, informative, and served as exemplary hosts for their guests. The staff was also very pleasant and helpful. The location of the B&B was perfect and easy access to all the highlights to experience Holmes County and all the Amish hospitality.

We booked our stay with Gene, the innkeeper, and although they normally required a two night stay, he was more than accommodating in giving us reservations for six adults for a one night stay in July. The Barn Inn is beyond beautiful. At 10 p.m. there was hardly a sound to be heard inside or out. The room was comfortable, and access to the outside balcony from our room where we could sit with our family was a plus. We also spent time in the comfortable main room and in the early evening Michelle made sure to let us know where we could turn on additional lights in needed. The morning breakfast, served at 8:30, was delicious. Quiche lorraine, sausage, banana pancakes with Smuckers caramel sauce, blueberry yogurt, coffee, water and juice. A good way to start your day before touring the area.

We recently visited Holmes County and loved the Barn Inn! We booked the Vintage Rose room, which I highly recommend; large King bed, beautiful sitting area, TV, Wifi, and a private outside table at the end of the balcony. The bath was large with a whirlpool tub and a lovely shower including non-slip mats for the tub and shower. Soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner were from a local company. The rooms were serviced, if desired, each morning with trash pick-up, fresh towels and a made-up bed. All this plus the best breakfast you could ever imagine! All locally sourced ingredients made even better with Gene and Michelle in the kitchen! Each morning was a new adventure in eating; we had our fill until dinner time. Gene was particularly helpful with information about the area, the Amish and places to visit. We purchased wine from Breitenbach's Winery in the lobby of the Inn and enjoyed drinking and relaxing in the afternoon on the balcony. I would return anytime! The atmosphere of the Inn is much better than a hotel and the food could not be any better! Thank you!

Very quaint but updated bed and breakfast in a out of the way location.
We stayed in the Victorian Rose room. Quiet and clean and pretty modern
Breakfast was very good and the innkeepers took the time to talk about the Amish foundations of the breakfast and the local suppliers.
We would definitely stay here again

Our first B&B experience became so special and memorable! The website pics does justice to what you see in reality .Delicious breakfast -my husband who keeps away from pancakes and french toast could nt stop talking how good they were . Coffee and snacks anytime .Enjoyed the various Keurig flavors.
The inn and and our room Camelot were so pristine. The A/C was a bit loud but that's been common in all hotels we stayed last year too .Camelot was a little small for us but that was the only one left out in the top level when we made reservations. .
Gene and Michelle were perfect hosts !Loved the grace before breakfast -it was short and sweet. We really like the details of where they sourced the raw material for breakfast and Gene's tips and info on what we can do in Amish country .The lady at the front desk was also informative .The morning breakfast helpers were cheerful .
The location is little away from the noise but its easy to navigate to Berlin avoiding the crowded US62.Have your GPS ready anywhere in Amish country if you are not on Verizon

No. There are 3 areas in the Inn that guest can use that have microwaves.
There is indeed a hair dryer in every room!
We have one Deluxe Standard room and two King VIP Suites on the main floor that are designated as Accessible rooms because of their proximity to our accessible parking spot on the main level, but there are three other Deluxe Standard rooms on the main floor. If the motorized scooter is able to fit through standard door frames, he should have no trouble at all. We have extra grab bars in the bathrooms, and have a few different seats available for the toilets if he needs something at a different height.
We are 3 1/2 miles out of Millersburg where we have the Holmes County Rails to Trails path. It is one leg of the Ohio railroad bed that has been converted to foot, bicycle, and buggy trail. We have a place at our trail depot where one can rent bicycles.
