We really enjoyed our stay at the Kirkwood Inn. The rooms are very clean and very well stocked, the staff are very attentive and accommodating with an awesome breakfast! The house where breakfast is served and the grounds are a must see! The owner is also working onsite and very pleasant to talk to as well as helpful. We will definitely stay again
I stayed here over the 2020 Fourth of July weekend instead of staying in Middletown, because I liked the fact that the rooms can be accessed directly from outside - no lobbies or hallways to walk through - reducing the possibility of contact with someone with Covid-19. It was more expensive to stay here, but was worth it The room was updated, super clean, the bed was comfy, there was a fridge with a mini-freezer so I could re-freeze my cooler packs, and it was very quiet. The pool was open and was the cleanest I've ever seen and deep - good for swimming - most of it is 6 ft to 10 ft with a small 3 ft area. Breakfast was served (hostess with masks and gloves served the buffet to you), and was good. The staff was very friendly. There is a nice outside area with seating, fireplace, gazebo, and a short nature trail, but it was so very hot that weekend that other then taking a quick look at it we didn't use it - in cooler weather it would be a nice area to socialize in and kids would enjoy the nature trail. I would stay here again.…
My Husband and I visited the Lebanon, Mason are last weekend. We stayed at the Kirkwood Inn for the first time. The room are clean and very well presented. The staff are very friendly and will recommend additional places in the area to visit. We had the King room with fireplace/jacuzzi tub. My only downside to our room was the the air conditioner while it work, did not cool the entire room. We would stay again on our next trip to the area.
I had to give this great place another shoutout . This was our 4th time staying with them. They treated us like old friends. The breakfast is out of this world. Our room was average size for a smaller motel but very nice and clean. This was our first time staying in the summer months the grounds are very well kept and inviting to sit in a and have something to drink and relax . The pool also looked inviting but cause of COVID-19 it could not open yet.
Kirkwood Inn is a unique place. From the time we pulled in we were treated like family. There is a nice buffet across the street at the Houston Inn that we enjoyed. You can choose a room with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub and the furniture takes you back to a different time. The breakfast in the house Nextdoor was another breathtaking experience. Clean and refreshing, we will be coming back here for sure.
