Here for the Western & Southern Open. The Kirkwood was very clean and comfortable. Helpful at the front desk. The garden path is lovely this time of year. Very nice running path through woods and across a stream in the city park just across the street. The breakfast was fantastic. Look forward to staying here again for next year's Open.

Hotel's Favorite
This is hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed at in a very long time, and I live in hotels for 6 months out of the year for work. The Kirkwood Inn was immaculate- as in I have walked out of many hotels due to the dinginess, these rooms are so well kept and clean I could have laid down on the floor and been comfortable. The staff was so professional and friendly and the breakfast was incredible. Homemade buffet style every day in the historic house which is very cool on its own. The garden grounds were very peaceful for walks (I was there in the winter and it was still lovely, I'm sure it is even better when in bloom). I highly recommend this place to everyone. Additionally, Mrs Sandy was so kind. Very accommodating and made this place feel like home, which was very refreshing since I hadn’t seen my actual home in months. I absolutely fell in love with this place!

Haven’t made it to the Kirkwood Inn yet-going in 2 days. Was wondering if I could do early check in (1pm) and was told no-check in is at 3pm. I have stayed other places that have allowed this if the room was available. Hoping I won’t be further disappointed-will post more after trip.

I went slightly off my route to stay here and loved it. The owner was present at all times.. she was gracious and very charming. The room and the property were obviously furnished and cleaned with care. The breakfast was delicious, served in a beautiful old building near the rooms.

We have been making the trip from Cleveland every 5 weeks for a year to visit our grandson. What a wonderful little place this is. The room is a good size, clean and comfortable. The only thing not quite up to par is the tv. Its small and old. Otherwise it’s a great little place. Oh and a free “homemade”breakfast for the win!

We love staying at the Kirkwood Inn. The rooms are comfy, the staff is really friendly and we enjoy using the outdoor sitting area and walking around the paths. Their breakfast is the best that I've ever had at a hotel. Everything about this Inn makes us come back every year.

Well, I ended up at this quirky little inn for a two-night stay in the Standard Single Room. It may appear small, but the charm was surely there. From the moment I was in the lobby checking in, I felt welcomed here. They gave me an actual key, opposed to a key card, which was really convenient. It definitely may prevent you from losing it, as you can easily attach it to your personal keys. Let’s hope you don’t lose those, either. It was a good idea in my opinion. My girlfriend and I checked out our room first. It seemed slightly dated, but at the same time, it was very clean. The bed was comfortable and did the job that beds are supposed to do. There were mainly only minor flaws in the room when it came down to cosmetic details. I was able to park my car almost right in front of my door since we were on the ground level. They gave free breakfast with our stay. It was located in a house that was conveniently still on property. It was about a minute walk from our room. We are the breakfast two mornings of our stay. I tried the scrambled eggs, a sausage patty, a chocolate-type of pastry, and biscuits and gravy. For drinks, I tried the Orange Juice and Coffee. We sat outside the first time, since it was pretty crowded and we wanted some privacy. They have some tables right outside. The second day, we did get to dine inside at a table. The eggs tasted cheap. The sausage was okay, but still wasn’t worth the calories. The biscuits and gravy had the closest taste to decent food. They weren’t that great, but they were good enough to swallow. The Orange Juice and Coffee were both about average. I’d complain a bit more if I actually had to pay for it. They had a cool little trail that was on the side of the house. It was about a two-minute walk and swooped back around towards the house. The whole outside area was casual, yet quirky. The employee that checked me in was very friendly and got me my room key fast. Checking out was just as fast and that employee was also friendly. In terms of service, this inn had it down graciously. Overall, I recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing stay. It’s a bit off the main grid, which can also be a plus for the right patron. If I’m in the area again, I may return for another visit. Dates of stay: 10/01/2022-10/03/2022

It was a totally run down hole in the wall and misrepresented. It was a total disappointment with a steep price for slop. The beautiful gardens they brag so much about were unkempt and dead during the season when it should be thriving well. the wall socket wouldn’t even hold a phone charger and the refrigerator that was provided didn’t even work to cool anything. It was just for appearance apparently. So not worth a premium price of $147 plus for one night. The entrance was unpaved and so bumpy you could barely cross it. They provided a coffee pot with only decaf coffee. Almost didn’t breakfast because you couldn’t figure out how to enter the building. There was no service provided for anything to help while at the hotel. It was worse than any motel I’ve ever seen. The pool was also out of commission during our stay and couldn’t be used due to pollen and it had to be cleaned yet despite all these issues no discounts were even offered nor provided.
