We were very excited to come and even more excited to see the hotel in person. Everything about this trip calls us back. The hotel an town has ask much rich . history. The restaurant an bar have reasonably priced, delicious food. Staff is wonderful, we can't wait to return with friends!! Don't miss this gem

Hotel is historic! So rooms are smaller as well as bathrooms. If you want new and modern, try another hotel. Lots of charm throughout the lobby and public rooms. Perfect downtown location on the confluence of two rivers.

For an old hotel it was a nice visit. We paid twice as much as most rooms as this was all that was available. We could see the river a bit and had a parlor with two bathrooms! The furniture smelled a bit of old wood. The elevator was slow, hot, and small. There were apparatly no carts in the... More

This is the place to stay when visiting Marietta. It's on the end of Front Street, at the site of the first white settlement in this area, so there are nice restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the riverfront walk is right outside your front door. Our room was nicely maintained with older furnishings including a "high bed" with... More

I loved my stay here. The room was very small but I loved the river boat theme it had. I stayed on a snowy day and really enjoyed laying in bed watching the snow come down. It is a good relaxing stay.... very quiet and easy to find. Plenty of places to eat around there too.

My husband and I jumped on our motorcycle to take a ride on Ohio's Triple Nickle. The ride travels between Zanesville and Belpre. True to Harley tradition, we stopped in at the nearby Athen's Harley Davidson store. The guy checking us out at the register asked what our plans were and we told him we were open to suggestions. He... More

Wanted to show our grandchildren were our family started out living in Ohio, location and charm couldn't have been better. Our room had a king size bed, queen sleeper sofa and one and one half bath. Lobby was charming, clean and bright. Breakfast and Wi-Fi were included.

My husband and I stayed at the Lafayette while on a weekend getaway. We enjoyed the Lafayette period decor and easy access to the beautiful downtown of Marietta! Our accommodations were clean and comfortable although room set up was somewhat quirky due to when it was built but location and quaintness made up for that. Would stay here again in... More

First, my room was a "Cabin Room" a long somewhat narrow room with a double bed, period lighting sconces and ceiling lamps, a nice desk and storage drawers, a settee, and a fully adequate bathroom with shower. Very nicely apointed and compfortable, with a nice medium sized flat screen TV. The Lafayette is an early 1900s old-style multi-story hotel. If... More

Stayed here one night in May 2016. We were driving back from the Falling Water House to Indianapolis, and I thought we would try this place instead of a chain hotel. The hotel was built around 1920, and it has some character--a nice lobby with antiques from the riverboat area and also a nice bar just off the lobby. The... More
