Booked this hotel for an overnight trip to Marietta to celebrate my Mom's retirement. Although the stairs were a little daunting when we first walked through the door, the mild discomfort from the trek up quickly passed when we entered the beautiful sitting area and suite. The well appointed room was more than we expected with the exception of towels... More

. We knew about the stairs (two long flights to the third floor). but thought them worth the inconvenience for lovely big rooms pictured on trip adviser. The rooms we were shown were large, but dark and uninviting, one with dark carpet, a single window on alley, out dated furnishings; a second with more windows but still dark with dark... More

Stayed one night in the Williams Room. Checked in by the bartender at the Galley bar/restaurant next door. We parked in the restaurant lot. Restaurant hostess did not seem to know where we were supposed to park, but assured us we would not be towed (we were not). As others have mentioned it is a long two flights up, but... More

A friend recommended the place and we stayed two nights over a weekend. The room was very large and well furnished, but the food offerings (coffee, old fruit, boxed cereal) were not up to typical B&B levels. We ate a nearby restaurant. The owner properly described the two long sets of stairs to climb - but omitted that the stair... More

We love this place. The room is large and everything is updated and very clean. Sitting area at the top of steps large enough for a group. The only draw back is the steps, 40 I do believe If you need an elevator this site won't work for you, if not it's wonderful..

Perfect! We walked into the bar/restaurant and ordered a beer from a delightful young woman. I said that we would also need to check into our room and she immediately smiled and said that she would take care of that for us -- and then carry our luggage up to the room. Despite my protestation, she remained positive that she... More

Went for Valentines Day. The bathroom floor felt a little slippery and slimy. There were no hangers on the clothes rack in the room. The towel rack screws were coming out of the wall and the towel rack was hardly holding up. The bedding comforter was ratty, snagged on my skin, and had lint balls on it.

Our party of four spent the weekend in Marietta staying at The Hackett. My wife & I had The John H Riley Suite, which has a king bed, very large front corner room with couch, and leather chairs seating area. Our friends had the Dr Samuel Hildreth Room, which was a nice size room with queen bed and seating area.... More

Booked one night in the Hackett Hotel, stayed in a tasteful decorated room with a very comfortable bed and couch. My guest was concerned about the noise level as the room was right over the Galley Restaurant and the Adelphia Theater, it was so quiet we felt like we were the only guest on the floor. Modern common room with... More

The Adelphia Theater is housed in the Hackett Hotel. You can eat in the Galley restaurant and enter the Adelphia Theater without going out in the weather-- or enter the theater by the outside door. This theater is rather long and narrow, has chairs by the stage and small tables farther back where you can dine and watch the show... More
