The Hackett offers a unique hotel experience in the heart of historic Marietta, Ohio. Built in 1890, The Hackett is a completely renovated 5-room boutique hotel with classically chic decor and modern amenities. The Confluence is a common area which offers a kitchenette, snacks, beverages, meeting areas, and entertainment for all guests. Rooms are decorated in an antique-chic method with modern furnishings and historic details. Most rooms have a queen-size pull out couch as well. All of the rooms are named to pay homage to influential figures in Marietta's past. Located above The Galley restaurant and the Adelphia Music Hall, we offer room service during The Galley's operating hours as well as access to the finest dining in town. Plus, The Adelphia boasts live entertainment every weekend. All of the rooms at The Hackett are located on the third floor of an historic structure. There is no elevator or lift available at the facility. As such, The Hackett is not suitable for wheelchair users or persons with limited mobility that precludes the use of stairs. In an effort to provide the Marietta area with the best entertainment experience available, The Adelphia Music Hall is a part of The Hackett facility. The Adelphia is equipped with state of the art equipment to provide the best musical quality. As such, during some entertainment events sound will travel to the hotel. Please keep in mind The Adelphia hosts entertainment every weekend and some week days from approximately 9:00pm until 2:00am. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you foresee this being an issue, please contact us with questions.
The Riley Suite was very comfortable but also subject to a lot of outside noise as it is on the street-side of the building. There were several minor condition issues with the room, but they did not affect our stay. The stairs to the rooms provide a good workout and are a bit steep in addition to being numerous, so holding the handrail is advised. The dining area includes a full refrigerator/freezer and microwave, but the hotel only provides a couple of kinds of breakfast-serving size cereal, orange juice, milk, tea bags and a limited selection of Keurig coffee. The Galley restaurant at street level below the hotel is very good but does not serve breakfast. It would be nice if the Hackett provided a coupon for breakfast at one of the nearby restaurants (strongly recommend the Busy Bee).…

Nice location centrally located to museums and river cruises and college. and the food at street level restaurant is quite good and service all around, food and hotel, pleasant. Apparently, however, the owner is a different story. He had a dinner get together with his three "friends" in the upstairs hotel room guest area until about 9 to 9:30 pm. The boys got louder as the evening wore on and were finally asked to leave, as some people may want to play Scrabble in the common guest area paid for and not be bothered by a noisy party of "friends". As well, the lower patio below the windows played loud rock music throughout the night until about 8 am next day, when someone finally decided to turn off the sound system. Good staff, nice rooms, but really poor and pompous management. Oh, and we did not see the ghost.…

Picked the Hackett as a fun option while in town visiting family and I’m so glad I stayed here. Yes there are stairs, the building was built in the 1800’s. Once upstairs you enter into a really comfy common space where you can get coffee, water, etc. I was in the largest room and it was amazing! I highly recommend it if you do a romantic get-away. The curtains close and black out light from the street at night. The bathroom was super cool with the stunning antique vanity and modern shower. Bed was super comfy and the room is really quiet overnight. I will definitely stay again when I’m back in Marietta.

I’ve stayed here every time I visited my son at Marietta College and I love it. It’s so charming and always clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food at The Galley restaurant there is great! Comfy beds and it is so reasonably priced!

We stayed in the Riley Suite. Housekeeping let us see in the 4 other rooms which had emptied that morning. All are nice, but the Riley is incredible. Very comfortable bed. The room was spotless. They provide light breakfast options and some refrigerated beverages as well as coffee, tea, etc. in the common area. We hope to stay again. Other guest praised the Hackett over other downtown hotels. Many options within walking distance. Food, drinks, theatre. The Galley bar and restaurant on the first floor was incredible!

We stayed for 2 nights in the Riley Suite which is super spacious and stylish. The room and bathroom were spotless and serviced daily. I forgot that this is the norm, because so many hotels discontinued maid service because of COVID. The suite is above a music venue and the entire place is a event location. We stayed on days without a band and it was very private and perfectly quite. In fact we slept better than at home. On Sunday check in is remote, we received an email with detailed instructions, no problem. The 6 hotel rooms are accessed via a pretty steep staircase, no elevator. This was no issue, but I’d you have limited mobility this place would not be a good choice. Parking is plenty right next door. You are in the heart of downtown Marietta and walking distance to many great restaurants and good coffee shop, Jeremiahs. The 6 rooms share a common area with lounge, fridge, keurig and breakfast items. I recommend the Hackett over chain hotels on the outskirts.…

My wife and I stopped here after a long drive and wanted to stay someplace unique - we’re glad we chose this establishment instead of one of the many other, modern hotels nearby. Our room was nicely renovated, clean and comfortable. The on-site restaurant (reviewed separately) was not only super convenient but quite good in its own right. Price was reasonable. TIPS: -The hotel rooms are accessed by two flights of stairs. Thus, you will struggle if you happen to have heavy luggage. -The included breakfast is thin: cold or warm cereal, coffee, pop-tarts, and juice, so don’t expect more than that.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary after dropping our son off at college on 8/15/20. We were treated like royalty by every staff member, especially the manager! The hotel was beautiful and our room was amazing and very clean! Our meal was delicious in the Galley, and the waitress and bartender were very friendly. We can't wait to go back! Also check out Jeremiah's coffee house!

Stayed in the”Riley Room” for an overnight getaway. What a beautiful place! Check in was easy, also went down to see the evenings entertainment band Midlife Crisis which was fun & reasonable with a $7 cover charge. They have a common area set up for hot beverages & supply a light breakfast (make it yourself) of oatmeal, nutrition bars, cereals as well as juice, milk & water. We are looking forward to returning for a longer stay. Note: there are no elevators & rooms are on the 3rd floor. Staff was very friendly & efficient!

There was a bridal party occurring in the commons area which we had to walk through several times to exit and enter our room. It was extremely awkward, and the bridal party was rude to us, even though it was the only way to exit. The party was over at 7 pm Saturday evening, but all their trash, booze, and food was left in the commons area. It was still there for us to walk through when we left Sunday morning. Also, no ice bucket, no blanket for the pullout sofa, and we were told we had to make the bed ourselves.
