These cabins, numbering five, are tucked away on a peninsula near the tiny town of Marblehead. The cabins have a small beach on Lake Erie, with chairs, tables and chaises to appreciate the lovely view of the Lake. The cabins are quaint and cozy. Each cabin has two bedrooms, a kitchen supplied with basic kitchenware, a roomy living room and a bathroom. The walls of the cabin were a warm, stained pine wood and everything was clean and tidy and well-kept. I spent two nights there with two grandsons ages 12 and 14, visiting the wonderful local lighthouse and we all enjoyed our stay. It was a throwback to a simpler time and reminded me of my Grandma’s cottage in the mountains of Bedford County, PA. The boys and I played the yard games provided, a bean bag toss and ladder darts and the boys took a dip in the lake. We enjoyed playing board games outside on the picnic table at our cabin and yet WIFI was available as well as a flat screen tv. The water heater might have been a bit small for all 3 of us to have enough hot water for showers but we did just fine. The charm and simplicity of the cabin and lack of pretension were refreshing. This is not a fancy place for those who want fancy amenities. This is a nice getaway with nice folks who own the cabins and a happy memory for my grandsons and me.

Considering the cabin was about 20 yards from the owners home and about 40 yards from their five neighbors. Well, so much for privacy. If you looked out the side window you COULD see the beautiful Lake Erie. While the 2 BDR cabin was a nice size, the bathroom was ridiculously small. With a 15 gallon hot water heater, you couldn't wash your body, wash your hair or shave your legs...pick two only and even at that you better be quick. Also nothing like getting woke up on a Sunday at 7:00AM to the neighbors mowing their grass. On any day of the seven we were there, SOMEONE was either mowing or blowing all the leaves. Also the password for the internet NEVER worked, i repeatedly asked...was NOT helped, AND the TV would work either...would just freeze...all in all...not the seven day get-a-way we had in mind...

We stayed at Kaspars for one night after driving over 500 miles from the East Coast. The cabins are very spacious with all housekeeping items and fully furnished. Nice sized refrigerator. Two bedrooms with a double bed in each. Shower worked well and couch as well as kitchen table and chairs. The only complaint I have is the mattresses are old and bowed toward the middle. I would go back. The owner was very pleasant and we enjoyed meeting one of the other couples staying there. Also, the wifi quit about 10 pm.

I've spent a week a year at these cabins my whole life the person who said that the owners are not kid friendly doesn't know what they're talking about a little old couple owns them and they're the nicest people you'll ever meet.the cabins are smaller so if you have a family of 7 or more you might have a hard time.

Just returned from a fantastic week at Kaspar's with my wife. Website depicts the facility very accurately. Nicely furnished 2-BR cabins right on the lake, watched 4th of July fireworks from Cedar Point, just across the bay. Nice just to sit by the lake and enjoy the quiet.
