This is just the nicest Bed and Breakfast out in the country and near Malabar farm, Ashland and Ohio Amish country. The owners are so kind and helpful, you couldn't ask for a nicer place with nicer owners. Very restful, beautiful and well thought out. Maybe too quiet for city folks but we enjoyed the peacefulness! Food is excellent and...

This was a great little get away. The old house was everything we hoped for and more. The food that Dee Dee made for us was sooooooo good. We enjoyed visiting with Dave and Dee Dee. They were very friendly and help us find some great things to do when our original plans fell through. We loved sitting on the...

If you are looking for the absolute perfect getaway, this is the place! Quaint, tucked away in the hilly Ohio countryside, quiet, and so alive with the history of the family that has lived there for generations. The hosts are some of the nicest and most generous people you will ever meet. Dee Dee's homemade breakfasts and desserts are fabulous!...

It was raining when I arrived, and Dee Dee met me in the driveway. She was delightful. It was a separate house with a common room and a guest room on the first floor, and a single guest room upstairs. I had the room on the first floor. It was a comfortable room with its own bathroom. The bathroom had...

Night time desserts were to die for. DeeDee...

Love amazing food and time to read books? This is the place! We have stayed many times, and hope to again! Quiet, country setting. No WiFi and spotty cell service, but a great collection of books, Jetted tubs, amazing beds, a to-die-for dessert at night and totally fresh, full hot breakfast! Enjoy the kittens and walk around the farm. A...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
By combining the past with the present, The Old Summer House, built in the 1890's, has been fully restored for your comfort and pleasure. You will feel as if you stepped back in time as you enter the family home that has been passed down for seven generations. It's quiet, peaceful and Dee Dee serves her own homemade jellies along with her specially prepared meal. In the evenings you can expect to enjoy seasonal homemade desserts such as apple dumplings or raspberry cobbler. After breakfast you may want to stroll through the 1800’s gardens ,take a walk in the woods or just relax on the front porch swing and enjoy the beautiful countryside. Whatever your pleasure, we hope to make your stay a pleasant experience. ... more   less
