The Treehouse Cabin was very cozy with a large family room with a fireplace, and large sofas, full kitchen with everything you would need to cook. the decks on two levels were great with a swing and chairs. We went out to see the stars at night and also watched the sunrise from the deck! the bedroom down the spiral staircase was cozy too. We could have spent more time there, but will definitely return!

Spa experience just ok. Not the best, but not the worst. Really did not enjoy the spa rooms. Massage therapist did not ask any questions or take medical history. Both my spouse and I noticed that they came in about 10 minutes after our massage was supposed to start. It wasn't a full 90 minute massage. Since it was just an okay massage that was all right. Kind of disappointed for the price that they charge and our experience. Didn't feel like professional spa felt like more like a mom and pop shop.

Booked 2 cabins with this company and spent a lot of money from our small organization for a weekend get away. However I left my personal $130 Apple TV box (used it for presentations) and it has been about a month and they still haven’t mailed it back to me. I’m a college student and I’m starting to think someone that works for them has stolen it. I’ve called multiple times and have been very patient but nothing has happened. The AC was broken in one of the lodges which thankfully they discounted our bill because of that. It just stinks that they can’t just mail me my belongings back. I was told it was going to be mailed July 5th and it’s July 23rd now… so I’m starting to become pessimistic… I’m not sure if I can advise our future leaders in our org to book there. Look out lodge was beautiful! Just disappointed in follow up treatment

Spent the week of July 4th here. Stayed in a cottage, that is pet friendly. Brought our 1 1/2 yo golden retriever with us. Nice sized cottage. King sized bed. Jacuzzi tub. Good sized bathroom with shower. Back porch with a swing. Small fridge and microwave. Free Wi-Fi. Limited cell service. Ate at Kindred Spirits for dinner. What great food! Big portions. Complimentary breakfast every morning. Wonderful serving staff all around - especially Cara, Danielle and Candice. Had a 60 minute couples massage. Thank you Brook and Summer. It was wonderful. Had a bit of bad luck with weather and activities (and power outage on last night) but made the most of it in the cottage. Our pup saw her first deer just outside our cottage door. What a beautiful, quiet and serene place. Look forward to coming back and staying.

My family gathering to celebrate my mother's 80 Birthday was over shadowed by the disappointment of not having 3 of the amenities (Hot Tub, Shuffleboard table and Pool) available for us during our stay. #1 DECEIT When we arrived the maintenance crew was trying to clear the hot tub, the pool was green/brown with tadpoles swimming in it and the shuffleboard table did not have any sand. We contacted our Super Host Nicole who is also the GM for The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls, NO response. When I booked this place I specifically asked about the pool and Nicole's responds was it was a brand new pool . Upon arriving at Buckets one can see the pool is older No stores had any sand for the Shuffleboard - based on what the Maintenance guy told us (cannot confirm or deny). Not sure what the problem was with the Hot Tub - the color ended up being a milky color. #2 DECEIT Nicole did not respond to any or our inquiries until late Friday (we arrived Thursday at 3) and was informed she had no service to receive or hear voice message - if that is true why was she blowing up the Maintenance guys phones and how did she know we were having problems? #3 DECEIT Nicole then tried to tell me the pool had a "Mechanical" issue that could've not been prevented and maintenance guys did not know how to fix it. The pool was green/brown, tadpoles, and not enough water in it. A pool does not get this way overnight! Tree fogs would not lay eggs in a chlorine pool, plus there was no vacuum! Issue with the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls is if they are going to maintain a property with a pool, they need to have staff that can service it. The head of Maintenance and the "pool" person who both on vacation and no one else didn't know what to do. I would stay away from ANY property The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls represents, especially with a General Manager like Nicole. I should note - I was refunded 90% of our money for the stay, but I would've rather paid for what was advertised. The amount of time I took calling people, being upset, having the maintenance guys coming and going took away from the celebration! We had 4 children 3 under the age of 1 and had to pack up, drive four cars to Lake Logan to salvage our desire to swim. THE MAIN REASON WE PICKED THIS PLACE WAS SO WE DIDN'T HAVE TO GO ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!1 We don't get a do-over - Only turn 80 once! STAY AWAY FROM THIS ORGANIZATION and any property they are associated to.

We spent a weekend in the Moonstone Geodome and had the best weekend. It is such a unique stay and the modern amenities really help the overall experience. The grounds are beautiful and the included breakfast was delicous. The cooks were the most welcoming staff on the entire property. We were able to do all 7 hiking sights within a day and a half and this location is supreme in that you have easy access to the trailheads. My husband had a massage at the spa, and though it was booked for 60 minutes, they start the clock as soon as you walk in. I found that disappointing since a 60-minute massage should be a 60-minute massage - not 50 minutes. Also, I do think the Geodomes are slightly overpriced at around $359 a night. Despite those two items, I would recommend the experience.

We booked Thelma’s retreat, which is a cabin owned or booked by the Inn & Spa. In the write up they warn you to only book if you have 4 wheel drive because of a steep driveway. They don’t warn you that they will cancel on you last minute for snow as their plow can’t clear it and it is dangerous. We got a call that they were cancelling our reservation once we had already been on the road for 3.5 hours heading that way from chicago. The area got 6-8 inches of snow (according to our eyes and what the other places we called told us). The Inn and Spa told us they got a foot of snow and they couldn’t plow the driveway and offered us one of their tiny homes as an alternative. We understand this type of thing can happen. We would have greatly appreciated a call first thing in the morning. We also would have felt differently if they had an ounce of empathy. Kelly, at the front desk, who originally called was apologetic. When we asked if there is any alternative or the possibility of checking in later she passed us off to someone else who had zero empathy for the fact that we had already driven 200 miles and was just not nice about it. We easily found some place else to stay but her attitude made it unpleasant and added to our stress. If their plows can’t plow the driveway they should share in their description that if it snows more than x inches or is icy they will cancel.

The experience was nice as was the cabin. Would go back in summer months. Electricity went out. Not their fault. When electricity came back on the furnace wouldn’t work. Went down to 28 that night. They did offer us the next cabin up the road but since we were leaving the next morning we didn’t want to pack and unpack. They did provide us with a space heater which helped. Fireplace is gas and with the glass front gives off no heat. I rated them a 3 because of the restaurant that was supposed to be top torch and left a lot to be desired. My wife’s filet was very chewy and not very good and my scallops were like rubber. The restaurant is a big disappointment

Disappointing. This lodge has potential but unfortunately has obviously missed in the maintenance of it. Two nails protruding from the bottom stair of the main staircase was the first thing noticed when coming down the narrow stairway. If someone would have slightly missed their step those nails could have easily caused serious injury. Thank goodness it was notice and was fixed by us. There were multiple other issues too many to list in this review. Just simple maintenance

They are doing things right here. We absolutely loved our anniversary stay in the Strong Wolf Lodge. They have a super romantic little restaurant on site, spa (books up quickly) and really nice little gift shop with local things in it. The cabin was super cozy with a little fireplace and a soaker tub. It is pet friendly but there was no smell or hair at all. They don’t skimp out on any of the little touches that make your stay lovely - bath oils by the soaker tub, nice bathroom amenities and even complimentary chapstick. I would definitely go back. We had the opportunity to go see Ash Cave which is literally right down the road.
