The Old Man's Cave campground was a nice stay, albeit short. Checking in was fast and easy. Just pulled up, gave them our name and were on our way. We were in a camper so we didn't need to use any of the bathrooms. The camper sites were very nice wooded sites that didn't feel crowded. Being able to walk... More

This is an excellent state park in Ohio! They must visit out of the I believe 77 state parks that are in Ohio! Couple of the pros for this camp site: an excellent pool, spacious campsites, very friendly lifeguards, and it's beautiful with quick access to all the wonderful trails! Couple things they could work on to make it a... More

Enjoyed camping next to the Hocking River. It was nice to be able to walk down to the beach and wade threw the water after a long day of activities in the area. We had access to restrooms and showers at the Fun Center if we didn't want to used the porta-potties at the campground. Nice size space for our... More

We just got back from a few days at the campground. The full hook ups are great. Some of the new fire rings are placed a bit oddly, ie. some were on the same side as the hookup, one was behind another campsite, a number a quite far away from the campsite closer to the woods. There is a pool... More

We had two families on one of the electric sites. If you're car camping in tents, you'll be drowning in RVs here. Sites are positioned extremely too close together making privacy a real issue. Most sites have a moderate to severe grade. There appear to be a few sites that are totally flat, but not many. It's nice hike to... More

My family (2 adults and 4 daughters) stayed at the primitive walk-in campground on Saturday night. Reservations dictated that we rent for 2 nights minimum, so $50 payment for the reservation on Friday and Saturday. We could only use Saturday night to camp, so driving down to Hocking Hills, I called the park reservations line to make sure that there... More

From the moment we got there until we angrily left our first night there,it was the worst experience.Faculty was rude, camp site was a small rocky uneven pile of dirt stacked next to 10 other sites, excessively fined for going off trail($135),quiet hours started at 10p and we were threatened to be fined the minimum ($135) AGAIN for talking in normal voices.... This campground is fairly nice. Port-o-poties but we knew that going in. No where to shower, but very rustic and fun to be at. The only thing I didn't like is that the campsite seemed to be not well maintained. The firepit was shoveled out and rusted, so it made making a campfire difficult. Also there aren't a lot of... We stayed in the primitive camp site. It was quite a walk back to our site but it was worth the walk. It was very peaceful and secluded back there. The bathrooms were clean and kept up. We really have no complaints. We had to drive roughly 20 minutes from the site to get cell service but it was kinda... More

We stayed at the riverside campground, which is just down the hill from the "Fun Center." First and foremost - if you want an actual riverside campsite, you need to specifically say that and pay extra. Otherwise you'll get stuck in a random interior site close to the river, but not actually on it. The website is kind of awful.... More
