It's been five years since we last stayed at this hotel, and sometimes service can diminish over a span of time, but we were very pleased that this hotel still offers an excellent value based upon its convenient location to entertainment and the generous size of its rooms. The staff was welcoming and the amenities were perfect for our needs. Our stay was quiet and we even learned that we had missed the on-site pub during our last visit! The convenience of the breakfast dining room is also a plus. Definitely recommend.

First off, the staff is amazing! I haven’t met a more friendly or helpful staff anywhere. Not that I haven’t had great staff members, but everyone I interacted with have been amazing! There was 4 or 5 wedding this weekend I went, and even though they were probably exhausted they all went out of their way to make sure everyone’s stay was memorable. We were visiting finishing up a trip that got cut short the last time we were in Columbus, and I wouldn’t Jewish to ever stay here again no matter the price. The pub was also great, very friendly staff in there as well. (Only did one take out order) the rooms were clean and the A/C worked amazing. I run hot so I have to make sure that is cranking! The showers were nicely updated so that’s always a plus. Only grip I have with the room (very minor) is that the toilet sits really close to the wall. Having an indoor and out door pool is always great just in case one is always crowded. My girls didn’t care what pool as long as they were in it, and it was open till 10. Great work out room and then an aerobic room which you don’t see often but very spacious and nice in there too. The grounds are amazing ( have to be to host all these wedding), but if you want to go for a walk you have ample sidewalk around the complex to do that. So many restaurants and stores within a 5-10 mins radius, and LegoLand (which is attached to a very nice mall) was 17. Also we we did the Disney immersive experience and that was literally 5 mins up the road. Visited the Zoo and Aquarium and they were within 15-20. If you are looking for an amazing hotel that is close to everything, and not downtown in the city, don’t hesitate to book this place.

I booked a 2 queen bed room with separate sitting room for my adult daughter and I through Trip.com. The 3 night booking was nonrefundable because I booked the day before arrival and cancellations aren’t allowed within 24 hours of arrival. My daughter only stayed one night because the noise from people walking around in the room above us made sleeping impossible. I ended up staying 2 nights and completely regretted that decision after being awakened at 11:30 pm. 3:30 am and 5:45 am. I actually walked to the lobby desk at 6 am in my pajamas to tell the clerk I couldn’t stand the noise and would have to check out early. The clerk apologized profusely, canceled the reservation for the final night and told me my key would work for 2 hours giving me time to pack our belongings.
Two weeks passed and I didn’t see a refund posted to my credit card for the unused night, so I contacted Trip.com. The customer service agent also apologized and said she would contact the hotel about a refund. Later in the day, I received a response from the Trip.com agent saying that the hotel had no record of my noise complaint and, therefore, they would not issue a refund.
I am FURIOUS that the hotel refused to address the noise issue when (1) my daughter complained about the noise at 9 pm on our first night and (2) I complained to the front desk at 6 am after a sleepless second night.

Do NOT stay here unless you stay in a 4th floor room or are deaf.

I had high expectations for this property based on reviews. There are several pluses. It is close to a large mall with multiple restaurant options and near Columbus zoo as well. The lobby and public areas are clean and well maintained. The outdoor pool area is very nice though indoor pool is small and forgettable. The staff were pleasant and the free breakfast is fine though nothing stellar. The rooms are clean but I found the mattress uncomfortable. We could hear noise from room above so would request a top floor. The air conditioning unit was extremely loud and would kick on intermittently with a sudden freezing blast. Based on description I had expected a park like campus however there are no trails or even much in the way of sidewalks( lots of parking lot space). Also beware the king parlor suite has a sleeper sofa but we were surprised to discover the queen parlor suite sofa is NOT a sleeper sofa( resulting in our kids unexpectedly having to share a bed). For the price this is a nice property but given issues outlined here I would likely opt for one of the national chains in this price range in the future

The hotel is comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful (it appears to be a training and meeting facility for Nationwide Insurance) with two pools and an excellent upscale pub. Breakfast was also very good. We stayed as part of a package deal with the Columbus zoo, which is only a 12-minute drive away. Highly recommended for anyone going to the zoo.

We had a work conference here over the weekend, so no choice in where we stay as there was a block rate for rooms. From pictures it looked like it was going to be a very nice stay in a good location close to Polaris. Parking is very slim here when there are multiple conferences going on and we had to park in the overflow lot several times. When we checked in the clerk was very friendly and we had no issues. We had a King Suite w/ Sofa Sleeper Room. The room was average at best, the carpet didn't look like it had been swept with crumbs and such on it. The bed was hard as a rock with lumpy pillows (probably the worst 3 nights of sleep I have had in a long time). The A/C/Heater is so loud its like an airplane coming into land and woke us up every single time it kicked on. It was so bad the 3rd night we slept with it completely shut off. The bathroom was very small and I had no hot water when showering for the 3 days I was here. I feel like they dont have a large enough water heating system to properly supply hot water when the hotel is at capacity which it was this weekend. The water pressure was also weak and hard to rinse the soap of your hair or body. It is not ideal on how the bathroom is set up either as I needed to be up early for my conference daily while my family was trying to sleep. There is no door in the sink area so you have to blind the rest of the room to get ready, there is only a small pocket door that closes for the shower and toilet. Poor design if you're traveling with others.
The conference facilty is across from the hotel section and you have to walk outside to get there. There were multiple conferences going on and we were in the rear portion, the conference area is clean and well maintained. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable and we had no tables which made for two days of classroom learning pretty miserable, not sure if the hotel it to blame or our organization on this one, but other rooms appeared to have nicer chairs and table set up. The food that was served for the conference was excellent quality and there were always cold and hot drinks available which was very nice. The Bar area was huge and poured good drinks, the worst part again is it is not connected to the hotel and you do have to walk outside to get there. The Fitness Center was great and had everything you could need for a hotel gym, treadmills, bikes, elliptical, water machine, towels etc. Overall I would not choose to stay here for a trip unless it was necessary for the conference as the hotel room quality was not up to par.

The girl Sara, at the front desk, when we checked in was so kind and helpful. She suggested some restaurants near by along with her favorites. Also provided directions to restaurants and zoo . The room was very clean. That was the first thing I noticed when entering the room bc most often you can find something that isn’t clean . The cold breakfast could of offered some more choices ie yogurt , hard boiled eggs and individual sizes boxed cereals since the hot buffet was closed during the week bc of covid and being short staffed. We did not utilize housekeeping as it wasn’t offered during the week bc of covid and short staffing , but we never do anyway so that wasn’t an issue for us . Overall we were very impressed with the hotel . And we wanted to make sure Sara was mentioned for her exceptional service !!

We booked one of Nationwide Hotel's room + zoo tickets packages and we really felt like it was an excellent value. We were able to pick up our tickets early in the morning on our way to the zoo and then check in after we finished our zoo visit. We stayed in one of the two-room suites, which was extremely clean. We, but especially our toddler, enjoyed both pools. Breakfast was great and above and beyond a typical hotel continental breakfast. We had a great trip and will definitely stay here for future Columbus visits!

Truly some of the worst soundproofing I have ever experienced at a hotel. From the rooms next door to the people above there is absolutely no time that there isn’t a ton of noise. The customer service from the front desk is poor…it is as if you are inconveniencing them by your presence. Grounds are beautiful, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Yes, both our indoor and outdoor swimming pools are currently open. There are some procedures and guidelines around the pool usage due to COVID19. I was there in early Jan 2020. No lights or decorations left from the holidays. It was cold out so outdoor venturing was limited. Basic lighting is what I recall.
