We stayed at Birdsong cabin for our honeymoon and at first it was amazing, but unfortunately our last day/night there was a storm that nocked out the power from 7p to 7a that includes the water. We had no way to make food, get water or even call for assistance because there's no cell service and the land line also went down. The AC shut off when the power went out and we could only open two windows because none of the others had screens in them and there are a lot of hornets/wasps on the front and back porches. The flash light they provided in case of emergencies barely worked. We checkout early and I asked that someone call me to discuss a refund for those 12 hours but they've ignored my request twice. It's not so much about the money as it is about the principal, at the very least return my phone calls. I understand that they don't control the weather but if this is a regular occurrence where they feel the need to include it in the instruction book they should have a back up generator. I'm sorry to say we won't be back.…
The location of our cabin was easy to find, tucked away perfectly amongst the trees. The cabin was very clean, provided everything we needed and was very cozy. We even enjoyed a small bottle of wine with dinner that the hosts left us, extremely thoughtful and appreciated. My husband and I highly recommend this cabin to every couple. We definitely plan on returning.
Our stay was excellent. Very private and quiet. At no time could we hear others. The cabin was great and contained all we needed. We’d go again! The travel distance to popular sites is very reasonable and the info contained in the folder in the cabin was extremely helpful.
Nice and secluded cabin not far from the caves. Cabin was cleaned and stocked with everything we could think of. Loved having the hot tub after hiking all day. Will definitely visit again. Will recommend to family and friends for a nice quiet spot to stay
This was our second stay at Journey Ridge Cabins. First stay at Wildwood, second one at Woodridge. Loved both stays. Will be going back. Nice quiet cabin, well stock with everything but food. Already trying to plan our next trip back.
My husband and I have stayed at the Birdsong cabin four times so far, and are already evaluating our options to book our fifth trip. We love the coziness and comfort of the cabin, and adore the setting. It is so private but also an easy drive to all of the best trails in Hocking Hills. The Birdsong is always clean with everything we need to prepare our own meals while enjoying a restful retreat away from home. It really is the best couples cabin and we look forward to returning soon! Uploaded a photo of the cabin at night from the firepit.
My husband and I spent two nights at the cabin for our anniversary. The cabin is super cute and cozy, perfect for the two of us. They had everything we needed. It was quiet and private, but not a bad drive to get to a store or place to eat. The hot tub was delightful and super relaxing. We would go again in a heartbeat!
This was our first time staying at Journey Ridge, in the Woodridge Cabin. We have stayed in Hocking Hills many times, but this is now my favorite because: 1 - it is so darn cute and cozy 2 - the hot tub is covered so you can enjoy it even in the pouring rain 3 - the double french doors onto the patio are lovely 4 - great phone and wi fi reception. 5 -located basically in the first "hill" as you leave columbus (might explain the great phone reception) 6 - the TV worked properly! 7 - the gas fireplace worked properly 8 - I was entranced by the view of the support beams from the loft 9 - I loved the little lights across the ceiling. Made the whole place darn happy! 10 - Owners were invisible and left us easy instructions
Stayed 3 nites. Awesome cabin. Clean, cozy, secluded because at end of a drive. No passing traffic. Only one thing i would change. Kitchen chairs, which are matching to table and cabin decor are totally uncomfortable to set and have a nice meal. We exchanged brown chairs from back porch and was way better. Would stay in wild wood again. Thumbs up!
Just returned from my 5th straight year staying at Journey Ridge-Woodridge Cabin. Upon my arrival home, I went ahead and signed up for a 6th year in 2022. Reason for my continued love for this cabin “not in any particular order” includes great location, price point, amenities, cleanliness and solitude. I purposely choose this location several years ago for all the reasons above and the fact its on its own private road. This feature truly allows you to have that one with nature experience. Any chance I get, I share my stories of this great cabin. Trust me, once you stay here, you won’t choose any place else.
