We just spent two night at this wonderful bed and breakfast and it was the nicest B and B we have ever been to. The setting is beautiful and so peaceful and the owners are the most gracious hosts ever. The room and bath could not have been nicer and the living room that was available to us was so warm and inviting. Our breakfast each morning was equal to a gourmet meal. If you are ever in the area, don’t pass this experience up.

My husband and I found this place by chance as we were on a long journey from Indianapolis and felt we were too tired to travel the distance to Rochester NY at the late hour. The owners were so accommodating. Jerry one of the owners is former military and has set up surveillance on the property to see wildlife coming too close to the home. What a clever use of this technology. We absolutely loved our visit. There are beautiful rockers on the porch and seating at the pond which you could swim in and they offered us towels to use but the bed was so comfortable we slept in. Pillows nice, bathroom very clean and I couldn’t ask for any more. This is a lovely slice of heaven not far off 90 which we were happy to find. The couple is Christian and their generosity and love are apparent in all that they do for their guests.

We pulled into the fairly remote location and saw a sign saying the property is under 24 hour video surveillance. We were then greeted by Judy who scolded us for finding her rental via Expedia rather than calling her direct and when we explained that we wouldn’t even know of it had it not been listed there, she assured us that yes, we should have found it ourselves and called her directly. Ok? She then proceeded to very thoroughly explain the many rules and regulations of the cabin. There were lots of them. Starting with no shoes inside the cabin. The place is spotless which I appreciated since we had an infant with us. However what I did not appreciate was Judy telling us that she had a gift for us in the form of religious materials that she had placed in a variety of locations throughout the cabin because she “and Jerry have found a life of happiness through the salvation of Jesus Christ” So... there is that. It is my feeling that if it is her intention to use her rental for her ministry, she should be stating that clearly in any and all property descriptions where it is advertised. I paid top dollar to stay there and I don’t appreciate being a punch on her personal pass card to heaven. I have my own beliefs and prefer she keep hers to herself. I have rented many lodging properties and have never seen this before. The amenities in the cabin are scarce- no dish soap and no wine glasses and I had to ask for garbage bags. The rule book states that there is no smoking or vaping anywhere on the property. I don’t smoke but I think vape is water vapor so this is pretty ridiculous that you can’t do it outside. The rule book also says “consumption of alcoholic beverages will be tolerated in moderation” well guess what Judy- this is my vacation and if I want to get completely obliterated, that’s my choice. I’ve shared a photo of the baggies that were provided for placing tampons in. I mean really? Add to this the fact that we are very suspicious that there are surveillance devices INSIDE the cabin and what you end up with is a stay that is not relaxing no matter how clean the cabin or how lovely the grounds. We will never go back to this property and I felt obligated to make some of this known to others before their hard earned money and relaxation are spent.

We thank this guest for her comments about our cleanliness and grounds and her suggestion that we supply a different baggie for Tampon disposal. We always welcome suggestions from our guests. We gave her our phone numbers at the time of check in and requested that if they need anything to please call. We would have gladly accommodated her extra needs. We are sorry that she was mistaken about the video surveillance. We can assure her that there is no monitoring of guests while in the privacy of their accommodations. We do have security measures and restrictions in place for our safety and health and that of our guests. Jerry is a former Air Force Security Specialist and we do not apologize for his judgement about the security here. Our statement and offer for a free gift of the Gospel of John that we made to her took less than 20 seconds with no further discussion. There was no compulsion to accept this gift any more than there was the travel brochure we offered her. We are sorry she was so offended by her experience here. We did our best to accommodate her group even though there were four more people than we anticipated as her reservation only indicated that there would be two and six checked in. We agree that she may be more comfortable in more commercial accommodations than in our "get away from it all" location.

My husband and I stayed here while he had an interview. It was just wonderful. The owners are very professional and passionate about what they are doing. They take great pride in their establishment and take the greatest care of their guests. They good both mornings was fabulous!! There were other people staying in the house the same time we stayed but we never really heard them through the walls or anything so that was a plus. Everything was very clean and very well kept... I truly would have no problem recommending this place to anyone.

as a father and son from The Netherlands, we travelled for 2 weeks through Canada and the States, but this B&B surely was the best experience we had! The quietness, cleanliness, atmosphere, the excellent rooms and savory breakfast, the nature around the buildings (forest, pond etc.) all combined together for a marvellous experience. We found the owners, Jerry and Judy, most welcoming, happy to share the marvels around their home, restaurants in the surrounding towns, etc. Indeed, we also had good conversations about faith, but that's due to our own interest as well, and didn't feel uncomfortable for a moment. How can one be uncomfortable when in a relaxing ambiance you discover other people and their convictions? Indeed, it was marvellous, awesome and surely to be repeated a next time when we come to this part of the States! We'd most warmly recommend this site to anyone considering a visit to north-eastern Ohio!
