We recently stayed here with friends and the resort, decor, pools and breakfast were all excellent. The private beach with tree swing was absolutely beautiful and the sunsets on Lake Erie are breathtaking. The only complaint I have is when we walked into our room...More
Outdated and the room had a musty smell. Tiki bar was not open by the pool. It was 92 degrees! Inside bar didn't open till 5. Limited selection of items at hotel store. Breakfast was good though. Pool was nice.
Sawmill Creek turned out to be the worst experience I have ever had in hotel stays. My husband and I were looking forward to a nice weekend getaway together to relax, and it turned out to be horrible. From the very beginning in trying to...More
Old, outdated, and smelly! Per staff...whether on or off season the owner decides if any of the bars/restaurant will open. Outside bar was closed. Inside bar was horrible and dark. Hostess told us to go over to the golf course restaurant to eat/drink. Loved that...More

The walking trail, also know as Sheldon's Marsh, is not our property, it's a state wildlife preserve so they have rules in place which we must abide by. We used to let dogs walk through our common areas but unfortunately there were doggy "accidents" which made us change our policies. We have a large property so the dogs are welcome to walk down to our marina and get down to the water! If there are any other questions please feel free to ask! Thank you for your inquiry!
