Ms.Ren and Mr.Doug are the best! We had such fun chatting over the amazingly delicious breakfasts! We felt very much at home. Ms. Ren was careful with my dietary requirements (lactose intolerant) and each breakfast was delicious and hearty. Our room was the Mary room - very charming and comfy with a lovely full bath. The house is historic but has been updated with modern amenities that don’t compromise the charming decor. The Mary room does have a steep staircase - just a warning. We would chat over breakfast, listening to Ms. Ren’s funny stories, get recommendations on restaurants or events, maybe a little local history lesson - it was a treat!
This is our second visit to the guest house. We love the little town and all the hiking nearby. Best of all is the comfortable room and warm reception from Ms Ren and Doug. Great breakfast and conversation are a bonus. They treat us like family!
This is a perfect setting as a female traveling solo. It was as though the proprietors, Ms Ren and Mr Doug exceeded in meeting my needs before I uttered a word! My room and bathroom were immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the fine toiletries and bed linens. I flew in from the Intermountain West for a nephew’s wedding and Ms Ren started my days off right with a beautiful smile and a wonderful to order full healthy and delicious breakfast and a perfect cup of coffee. I couldn’t have asked for more. I thoroughly enjoyed my lovely Summer stay at the Jeremiah B King Guest House.
In town for son's engagement party and spend time with his fiance's family. Ms. Ren and Mr. Doug made us feel right at home with their charming quick whit and gracious hospitality. Ms. Ren's breakfast wizardry offered a delicious and hearty start to the day. This coupled with Mr. Doug's gracious service and conversation about all things Hudson and surrounding area rounded out an amazing experience. A quick walk to burn off the calories and check out historic Hudson and its wonderful shops. Not far from Cleveland and close to many hiking trails made it easy to immerse ourselves in the area. Quaint and clean rooms with many amenities, a kitchen stocked with beverages and snacks... who could ask for more. As the new extended family is here in town we will most certainly be back to visit! Thank you! L&J…
What a lovely way to spend a few days. We were in Hudson, Ohio to spend some time visiting family, so we stayed at Jeremiah B. King Guest House. This is a beautiful old home built in the 1800's and beautifully restored. Ms. Ren and Mr. Doug, our hosts were delightful, funny, and helpful. Now, add to that, the wonderful breakfasts lovingly (I hope) prepared by Ren and helped by our host, Mr. Doug. When you stay, be sure to ask her to fix the Baked Oatmeal, a delicious dish filled with fruits and nuts! Hudson is a beautiful old town, and this place is located in the center of the historic district with wonderful restaurants, shops and boutiques. We definitely plan on staying there the next time we are in the area.
