My youngest son and I stayed here primarily do to the closeness to the College. We were visiting my oldest son who attends and swims for Hiram. Our room had 2 full size beds (I think; could've been queen), a small couch/bench and a tv with a little table holding a coffee maker. It was very cozy and I am pleased with our accommodations. The owners, who run the Inn themselves, are very pleasant and do their best to accommodate any request (we didn't really have any). There is a continental breakfast in the mornings (coffee/cereal/fruit/bagels/hard boiled eggs/juice) along with a fireplace room with a tv for all to enjoy. My only dislike would be that a mini fridge was not in the room, so if you have leftovers they may not stay ingestible.
Ed and Jen always greet us warmly, make us feel like we've come home. The breakfasts are beyond our expectations. Squeaky clean rooms, comfortable beds, never heard any other guests in adjacent rooms. A very peaceful, quiet stay.
My trip to Hiram was to attend an event at the college and visit my grandson so being across the street from the college made it very convenient to see him. The Hiram Inn was such a nice homey and comfortable place to stay. Owners were very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was simple but took care of our needs. I am sure I will be going back again and will definitely make Hiram Inn my first choice
We were visiting relatives in the area and wanted to stay as close as possible to optimize our time with family. Based on other positive reviews we decided to give the Hiram Inn a try. On arrival we found the grounds well kept and landscaped beautifully. As we checked in, we met Jenn and Ed, the very pleasant hosts of this well appointed historic B & B. The Daniel Tilden room, part of the original inn, was modern and comfortable. Even though the windows faced east, the curtains and shades were ample to provide privacy and block morning light. The continental breakfast included fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, various breads, cereal, oatmeal, milk, juice, coffee and tea. It was nice to take a walk after breakfast on the lovely campus of Hiram College. We would not hesitate to stay at the Hiram Inn if we are in the area in the future.…
My husband Ed and I stay here when we’re in town visiting family and look forward to our stays at the Hiram Inn. The Inn is beautiful and in such a great location where you can take beautiful walks and enjoy the small town. The owners are amazing! They are so friendly and helpful every time we’re there. We really enjoy the time we get to spend at the Hiram Inn. Could not recommend this location more !
I recently stayed here when I was in town for a family reunion. Wonderful accomodations and the owners are very personable. They allowed me to store my bicycle in their storage area. Comfortable bed and room. Will definately stay here again if in the area.
I almost hesitate to share about this wonderful little property. We "splurged" on the Garrett Suite for a couple of nights for ourselves during move-in at Hiram College. The inn is so charming and the owners are friendly and attentive. The location is rather remote, but that just adds to the charm. Aside from the college, there really is nothing else to do in the immediate area. You will need to drive to anything. There is a pizza place and donut shop that sells panini (and plants) if you don't feel like venturing into one of the nearby towns. It's a perfect base if you enjoy nature and plan to visit the Hiram college field station, Eagle Creek, or enjoying a kayak/canoe adventure. Breakfast is standard "continental". Hard boiled eggs and yogurt for protein (both regular and "lite"), a variety of bread for toast, cereal, packaged oatmeal, whole fruit. I really enjoyed the scones. It's enough to start your day. Some of the photos showed a waffle maker, but it wasn't there when we stayed. You'll pay the same or more at a chain hotel in a nearby town. I suggest taking the time to spend a night or 2 at the Hiram Inn. You'll be happy you did.…
We were exploring the area ahead of a family member’s move to Hiram and needed an overnight stay. The Inn is conveniently located at the edge of town and was so appealing from the exterior we decided to check it out. We walked into this charming lobby and were greeted by Zach who proceeded to show us several of the rooms, providing some interesting history. We were able to select the Garrett Suite which has a large balcony overlooking the town. The room was lovely, beautifully furnished, very clean and comfortable. The large, deep jetted tub was fantastic. Although our stay was short we met the owners, Ed and Jennifer who were so friendly and informative about the hotel and the area. We’ve traveled and stayed at many hotels but this hotel experience stood out as one of our best and we look forward to returning soon. Highly recommend this place for a welcoming, historical and all around enjoyable hotel stay.…
The Hiram Inn is fantastic as are the owners and their family. Ed and Jenn are so great, I absolutely love chatting with them every time I stay. The inn is beautiful and the surrounding area is clean and safe. I 110% recommend The Hiram inn.
Enjoyed stay at Hiram. Rooms are large, with attached bathrooms. Quality furniture with different names of rooms. Very Clean. Small Keurig coffee maker & water in room. Ed (manager) very helpful, polite and very personable. Shuttle to and from Welshfield inn all day & pickup wedding party late at nite.. Great place!
