After a long and arduous drive we were greeted by our lovely hosts and shown to our room. Meredith House is a beautiful heritage home but unfortunately is showing her age and is looking a bit tired. Our room was clean and we could not want for anything and our hosts were very amicable. Breakfast the next morning was exceptional. Great location and very easy walk into town and the beach. My only complaint is when we were there it was raining and the downstairs area smelt of wet dog.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review and your kind words; apologies for the 'wet-dog' smell, I'm sure that isn't always the case and was probably due to the rain.

Convieniently located in the heart of town and easy to spot Meredith House is a wonderful historic building, The rooms are small and cosy but the oustanding feature is the breakfast. A most generous display of unusual baked cereals and ricotta, fresh made juices and hot cooked breafast to order! I can't say I have had anything so good anywhere in the world.

This is the second time we have stayed at this excellent B&B, well run by the very gracious and accommodating hosts, Neil and Noel. We stayed in a Mews room, which has it's own patio. The main building is historic and has a lot of character. Rooms are very clean and we had a good nights (2) sleep. Breakfast is outstanding. (Loved the banana smoothy). Enjoyed seeing the adorable house dogs again, Lulu and Dougal.

and how nice it was to see you again, thank you for making a return visit to us and to Australia, as I know there was a lot of concern about the bushfires at that time, so we're glad you retained your faith in us enough to make a second visit. Thank you also for submitting your kind review.

This property was recommended by the local visitor information centre and what a gem it is. A very warm welcome to a lovely heritage home by the sea awaited us with passionate and knowledgeable hosts giving us the top dining tips for the evening meal. A well appointed room with everything we needed - completed with grapes on the vine on the veranda overlooking the garden. A great nights sleep nn a comfy bed. Breakfast blew us away with a wide range of items to choose from and never ending coffee. The baked items for the road is a generous and appreciated gesture as we went on our way to discover Freycinet National Park. Next time we can only hope to win over Lulu & Dougal for more pats.

Thank you for your great review, we're glad we lived up to the recommendation. Dougal and Lulu also appreciate your comments, they can be very stingy with their attentions though, but rest assured it wasn't you, they are like that with everyone, it's a Westie thing! Once again, thank you for your kind comments, it means a lot to us.

Lovely restored manor full of antiques. We had an upstairs corner room with lovely views and cross breezes. The room was large but the bathroom was compact but adequate. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. Very generous helpings and high quality ingredients made it a memorable meal. The doggy bag was appreciated too! Friendly hosts rounded out the whole experience. I would recommend this bnb.
