Stayed for three nights with two other couples. Best panoramic views over the bay to the peninsula and Shouten Island. Each couple had their own self contained bet room suite and the shared area is wonderful with lounges a central fireplace and an ultramodern kitchen. All the kitchen equipment is top of the range and the Chinese antiquities are stunning. It is hard to find fault with anything about the place.

After trekking on the coast for several days, my friend and I planned a stay at the Dragonfly Lodge for a weekend of rest and relaxation. As soon as we arrived and stepped through the ancient Chinese gate, I felt enveloped by the exquisite decor, which felt luxurious, yet serenely comfortable. The breathtaking view was available from every angle of the living area, as if it was there for our exclusive enjoyment! Since I had traveled from America, the comfortable bed and blackout curtains were greatly appreciated, allowing a truly restorative sleep. In fact, every detail of the Inn has been perfectly attuned for comfort and beauty. Walks on the beach, wine tasting and reading made this the perfect finale for an unforgettable trip. I would highly recommend the Dragonfly to even the most demanding of travelers. I hope to return one day, but if not, thank you for the sweetest of stays!

My partner, two children aged 9 and 11 wanted a luxury getaway on the east coast (the only few hotels in the area were fully booked out over Easter). Dragonfly is the perfect home for those who have a little extra to spend for sheer luxury. From the welcoming little gifts left in the fridge on arrival, the self serving fireplace with glorious views over towards the Hazards or the comfortable beds with curtains that provide a “total black out”- the house is perfect and only a short drive from Swansea. Thanks to Rob for the stay.

We stayed here with a group of girlfriends for a weekend escape in Tasmania. The house is absolutely stunning, with floor to ceiling glass windows stretching from one end to the other, breath taking views across the bay and beautiful furnishings throughout. The attention to detail in this property is outstanding, everywhere you look there are thoughtful touches, not to mention a very well stocked pantry with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for outstanding accommodation on the east coast of Tassie. What a fabulous weekend, I look forward to returning one day!

The house is wonderful and location perfect. Great for two or 3 couples or family - plenty of space for everyone to enjoy relaxing, cooking and drinking wine looking across to Freycinet and the Hazards. If you decide to venture out it’s close to Swansea and easy drive to the beautiful Freycinet and to Triabunna to catch the ferry to explore Maria Island. Kitchen is fun to play in - and the bedrooms are largely the same. Very easy check in. We are often in Tasmania and will be back. Thank you Dragonfly Lodge.
