Greeted by a lovely host with old school friendly greeting and charm which always goes a long way to getting things off to a good start. Very clean inside and fantastic parking. Washing facilities out the back and a stones throw from IGA, bottle shop and the Gordon river cruises....perfect
Please note the queen delux suite (?) is a part of the garage, that has been renovated, which sits in the owner’s backyard!! Utterly deceptive and highway robbery!! You can stay in the heart of town with views of the river with a balcony for less!! Do not book!!
We spent one night in Strahan and found the accommodation comfortable and adequate. There were ample supplies of shower gel/ soap/ shampoo/ conditioner. The property is located on the corner of main roads, however, we did not find traffic noise to be an issue.
The Strahan bungalows at Corner Andrews & Harvey Street is located in a quiet surrounding that any bit of noise could disturb your sleep. The laundry machine seems like need maintenance. The look of it make you doubt the wash will clean your laundry. I was happy with the kitchen facilities but the stove heat does not heat up consistently. The heat would come and go. We forgot our unopened red wine and packets of juices being left in the fridge when checked out the next morning, went back shortly wanted to collect back our items but the owner was furious and claimed all threw into the trash! This is unbeliever how could an unopened red wine been thrown into the trash, is obviously a lie but he was furious and we did not want to argue further to spoilt our holidays. There is no integrity and honesty of the owner which I felt should terrible. Can't recommend such accomodation to anyone.…
Spent two nights in these very comfortable bungalows. Heater was on when we arrived & received a very warm welcome. Clean, modern & in a good position for all Strahan has to offer. We had the disabled unit as we had our 91 year old mother with us & the facilities for her just were perfect. Highly recommend.
