Perfect location with a view of the beach and the Nut. Our host, Graham, was fabulous, generous with his local knowledge, welcomed us with drinks & nibbles at 5pm & the continental breakfast in the morning was complete with freshly made bread. We loved the penguins that waddled into the backyard everynight and the pademelons were abundant in the garden...

Clean, comfortable stay. Very friendly host (Graham) who provided us with cheese and drinks at the dining area at late afternoon. The dining area was gorgeous, with fantastic view overlooking the sea. Host was helpful and knowledgeable. Bonus: spotted penguins just a few steps outside our standalone room at night. Highly recommended. Will definitely Stay again

Beautiful room with all amenities. Adjacent lounge with open fire. Breakfast room has great view. Evening drinks and nibbles helped to create a friendly atmosphere. Host was very knowledgeable about the area. Short walk to the climb up the Nut and easy walk to restaurants.

A wonderful family put up their best skills to make you feel at home in a very ellegant house. The dining room is a generous space full of light, the lounge is a relaxing paradise, the high ceiling rooms downstairs are stylish, the beach and the penguins are just behind the house...obviously all is perfect.

If you are looking for charm, location, good views and a great host then look no further than this place. Top notch all around. Rooms very comfortable, beautifully decorated. Happy hour each afternoon with complimentary drinks and nibbles is a nice touch. And a great way to take in the view and relax before dinner

Hanlon House deserves its number 1 B&B status in Stanley. We booked directly with Graham over the phone and he provided some helpful tips about traveling from Launceston airport. On arrival, Graham had left us a note and directions at the front door, however he arrived not long after and provided us with fresh milk. We stayed in the Edward...

Graham (host), we cannot thank you enough for your generous hospitality. We arrived to discover a personalised welcome at the front door. I thought we arrived too late for a personal welcome, but no, Graham was inside waiting for our arrival. We were greeted by name and then taken to the huge dining area and served Port (or wine or...

Spoilt for choice for rooms but chose a lovely room with view over the beach at Stanley. Good conversation with a knowledgable host, comfortable bed, excellent continental breakfast. Easy walk to evening meal options.
