We stayed in the comfortable Corinthian room at the back of the house. Beautifully decorated with everything you would need. Bathroom was big and well designed. The next morning we had breakfast in the kitchen area with our friendly hosts and another guest. Stanley is well worth visiting ang I wish we'd had more time to explore.

Rhonda and Christer were lovely hosts and made us feel so welcome. They had lovingly restored The Ark and it was just beautiful and had everything that you could possibly need. We stayed here for 2 nights and it was the best.

The attention to detail throughout the property...

Why do I say it was the best bed and breakfast we staying in on our two week stay in Tasmania? The room was well thought out with everything you could need. From the coffee machine to the cheeseboard and knives. Nothing was missing! Then the bathroom. I love Molton Brown products and at the Arc this is what you...

The hosts Christer and Rhonda are doing a great job. The room was glamorously appointed. All aspects from hand wash to chocolate were high end. The house itself is beautifully restored and has a fabulous location.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Guest House The Ark Stanley is situated in Stanley Tasmania, a restored period residence, positioned directly opposite Tatlow’s Beach and at the base of the plug of an extinct volcano standing approximately 150 metres high, known as The Nut. Our location takes in sweeping views across Sawyers Bay, and of course upward to the impressive and towering Nut. The Circular Head area, and the township of Stanley in particular, is a much-loved tourist destination and has something for all, be they adventurer, explorer, naturalist, historian, fisherman, romantic or holidaymaker. The residence has recently been tastefully restored, renovated and enhanced. With an eclectic decor, paying homage to yesteryear and planning for the future, an outstanding home has been created which is proudly offered for guest accommodation. We look forward to making your stay enjoyable. ... more   less
