We stopped over at Ross for the night heading straight there from the airport at Launceston, a quick 45 minutes drive had us at the motel. The room was comfortable, warm (loved the electric blanket), lovely location and our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a stop over in this beautiful town. Leave the car and walk to... More

Stayed here for business purposes, quaint location and facilities. Setting is right on the river. Welcoming host. Kitchen facilities are a little limiting however. Would recommend and would stay there again.

Hello Rob, thankyou for your comments. The rooms are not for cooking a full meal in and are appointed with light meal utilies, however, we do have alternative budget accommodation that does allow you to do the big cook up. Hoping there is a next time for you to stay and we can show you the alternatives. More

Stopped overnight here between Hobart & Launceston. This motel is the only one in town (other than cottages and B&B's) so did rely on previous reviews on TripAdvisor to guide me. We turned up without a booking and were received by a very friendly and helpful man at reception. The room was clean and well heated (wall heater, electric blankets... More

Friendly staff made it so easy to settle in to this neat, clean and comfortable motel. It is off the main street but is very easy to find. Beds are very comfortable and all the linen is crisp and meet. Can't emphasize enough how clean the facilities were. The owners take a personal interest in your needs. A truly enjoyable... More

We arrived without a booking on a very cold night and were more than happy to take the only room still available which was a twin. The room was spacious and clean, and eventually it proved to be comfortable as well. While it was not surprising that it would not be pre-heated given that it was not booked, it did... More

We are pleased you found our room spacious and comfortable. Yes winter has it's challenges. A little pre-planning would have given you the exact snuggly room you were after. It seems you decided not to use your electric blankets to warm your beds. As for icy cars the majority of our winter visitors manage this by starting their vehicles and... More

Clean, quiet motel in a very beautiful historic town with a variety of dining choices just a short walk away. Perfect overnight stop if you are travelling in Tassie and you want to see some of its history. Great photo opportunities to take shots of early settler churches and a superb convict built bridge. Recommended.

Thank you for your recommendation and comments. Ross is a lovely historic town and it has a lot of history of it's settlement. It is rewarding to have visitors enjoy the bridge and all Ross has to offer. More

I was a lone female traveller, traveling for work. I felt comfortable and safe here. Room was clean and up to date. It was cold weather and the heater kept the room nice and warm. I was able to walk to the nearby Man-o-ross hotel for dinner.

There is nothing to criticise about this motel except the fact that the overnight rate of $135.00 purportedly includes a continental breakfast. The only sign of the latter may have been some coffee and sugar sachets, and small biscuit packets. The accommodation is clean, in very good condition (especially the bathroom) and includes a small alcove with microwave oven, kettle,... More

Hello Leon, It is disappointing to read your dissatisfaction of our motel. Being in the counrty really should never be judged on it's cheapness. Other people do expect quality and a high standard and have found our price fair and reasonable. On booking your room you have the option to choose a continental breakfast package however, you chose not too.... More

We arrived late at night. Owners was there to greet us. We are from the north of the state. But had to work in Ross the next day. Lovely little accommodation. We said we would come back just to have a kid night free. Super clean. Lovely shower. Highly recommended.
