Visited for a meal. Service good and ambience fine. Food is just pub food and some of the prices are above pub level, although serves are fairly large. It's not really the place for a special evening - just to drop in for a feed.

Old English Inn decor was okay, dinner was good, staff very friendly. Room was okay, bed comfortable, outlook from room was nice but bathroom facilities very antiquated. Toilet didn't flush properly and I didn't like the daddy long leg spiders in the bathroom and under the toilet seat. The brown water was a bit daunting didn't feel like showering in...

So the bed was comfortable. The place needs a refurbishment fairly urgently, the white curtains were filthy, bathroom was very outdated and the fan was louder than a helicopter taking off. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and I was able to have a great night sleep. If you want luxury don't stay here! B

My brother and I shared a twin room, clean, tidy, attractive decor with a pleasant view of the water from our window. The bedding was first class and there was fresh milk in the fridge and a small kitchenette. There were obviously other types of accommodation on hand, but we only needed to sleep the night and were not there...

I was so glad we only had 1 night here - the room being old, is probably hard to make it look fresh & clean, although I suspect they did their best, it didn't look or feel clean. Curtain netting was a little mildewy, and it just felt dank, and was quite dark in the room. There is a lake...

The motel is old but clean. Amenities are aged and will need upgrading in the next 3 years. There is not much around to eat and since they have an in-house restaurant it is easy to get too. The food is fresh but not the best flavours. Service is the same as most of Tasmania, what you would expect from...

My mum, 3 year old daughter and myself stayed here on our very first night of a 6 day self drive of the east coast of Tasmania. The room had been booked 5 months prior to staying and for the first 2 nights of our trip (at a cost of $300 a night). Upon arrival, it looks cosy and inviting...

After spending 3 nights in gorgeous Hobart, we decided to head to Port Arthur. Needed a venue for dinner. Unfortunately there isn't much choice around here. Settled on Fox and Hound but wasn't hopeful given previous reviews. Food was ok, not fantastic, but editable. Kids nuggets looked very average. It was the atmosphere that disappoints, it was so quiet that...

The buildings are dated and a bit worn, but the price was reasonable and there aren't a lot of options in Port Arthur. The room was clean and comfortable enough. Close to the road, but traffic was quiet at night. Only a few minutes from the Port Arthur colony. The food here was only adequate. The tap water was brown,...

Unwelcoming reception. Buildings and amenities very dated and tired. Made to look like a Tudor hall but now looks very dated. More a flash back to a 1970's badly decorated English pub. We stayed in a chalet which although fully fitted out looked liked my grandma's house 50 years ago. Little notes everywhere telling you what not to do. The...
