We "glamped" for 2 nights in the safari tent/cabin. The living space is divided in two and there is a full ensuite incorporated at the back. The water pressure was good and stayed hot. On the deck is a bbq, with sink for washing up. Inside has a full fridge, microwave, tv and dvd player. There are limited places to... More

We stayed at the BIG 4 in our own 8M caravan whilst exploring the Tasman Peninsular. The caravan sites were large with plenty of room set in a nice bush atmosphere. The facilities were top notch. Campfire wood can be purchased from the office. The park is full of wild-life and is the perfect spot to use as base. Although... More

We've been driving a campervan around for 10 days in Tasmania and stopping each night at Big4 and the night in port Arthur was so nice because our host; Steve was so accommodating and helpful! This time of year (winter) is always going to be quiet but the facilities were spotless and the service/local advice was priceless. Thanks Big4 and... More

This was a very comfy tent, with parrots visiting for breakfast and sugar gliders coming around dinner tme. Simply beautiful. Water nearby, fresh air and still the feeling of the wind outside like in a typical tent but you a have fridge and calefaction inside... Very cool!

I stayed in this hostel for one night and the owner was incredibly friendly. I arrived in the dark in the middle of the night and had only booked in (via phone) an hour before that and I was welcomed warm and friendly. The hostel is located very close to the historic site (less than 5 min drive) and offers... More

The staff were very welcoming and informative. We were initially reserved about the accommodation available at the holiday park, but were so greatly pleased when we arrived! Stayed in the new peninsula cabin which had a great facilities, comfy couches and heating that lets you forget the extremes outside. Leafy area with plenty of wildlife around.

The receptionist was friendly and quick. Checking was good. The camp kitchen is very good but you have to pay $15 to get a few pieces of firewood for the communal fire. Total rip off under any circumstances but when there rates are so high even in the off season it's a joke. It should be free as it is... More
