Wow what a holiday. Stayed at Grassy with a group (at King Island Accommodation and Tours). It was exhilarating, relaxing, informative and fun. Ian and Lucinda invited us all with open arms from the word go. They couldn't have done more to make us feel right at home. Accommodation was great, beds very comfortable. Tours by way of 4x4 fantastic,... More

I was looking for a place to take my husband as a surprise and as soon as I spoke to Lucinda I knew this was it. When you arrive you are greeted as a friend and cared for the whole of your stay like you were family. Nothing was a bother to either Lucinda or Ian. The day we went... More

We chose the accommodation, and the tour, based on testimonials and were not disappointed. We can only agree with all the superlatives written about the services provided by Ian and Lucinda. From pre-visit contact to pick-up and then drop-off four days later we were treated to the best service imaginable, and all in a most efficient, friendly and thoughtful manner.... More

We traveled as a group of 13 and 9 members of the party stayed at Grassy (King Island Wilderness Retreat) with the other 4 staying in a holiday unit both operated by King Island Holiday Village. KIWR is basically a comfortable motel with a large upstairs common area plus meal area. The rooms are basic but very comfortable. The complex... More

In February 2016 my husband had secretly planned a trip to King Island to celebrate our wedding anniversary. My husband organised the entire trip through Ian & Lucinda from the King Island Holiday Village. The motel room is not a 5 star mega-motel complex like you would find in Melbourne, however, it is spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and superbly quiet.... More

In November, a group of 32 seniors spent 4 days with Ian & Lucinda being principles of King Island Tours. Ours was the King Island Experience Tour. Another name could be Gourmet Tour! They have customised two very comfortable 4 wheel drive vehicles with each taking 13 passengers. So we split the group into 2 so once home the 21... More

My wife and I recently had a long weekend photographic workshop on King Island. Our base was the King Island Holiday Village with Ian and Lucinda as our hosts and guides and Ian Rolfe (Southern Lightscapes) as our mentor and expert professional photographer. It was a fantastic experience with comfortable accommodation, great local food, and the excitement of remote and... More

12 months ago I had the honour of meeting Ian and Lucinda and experiencing their business through a photography tour with Ian Rolfe from Southern Lightscapes. I've been on other tours of Ian's and they never fail to deliver. However, Ian and Lucinda really add an element to this workshop. I was offered the chance to go again this year... More

Lucinda and Ian ensured that from the time they picked us up from the airport, to the time they returned us, we had a wonderful time. Just picture seniors in a 4 wheel tourer (seats 13), experiencing doughnuts on the beach, on the "mad max" sand dunes, having morning tea (with white table cloths and cups and saucers and "yummy"... From the moment we were picked up at the airport until we were dropped off 4 days later, we were treated to exceptional hospitality and comprehensive information about the island. Ian and Lucinda take care of everything, all we had to do was set the alarm in the morning. We were provided with a lovely continental breakfast in the dining... More
