Meals were fair and the view was lovely. However, the publican was unhelpful, uninterested and less than friendly. This was the worst we visited during our five weeks in Tasmania. We won't be back nor suggesting it to fellow travellers. Such a shame as it has great potential.

All in all the food is acceptable for a pub setting. I thought it was crazy when I ordered soup that it would come out as an entree however they bought it out with my main together. Charging $14 for soup pretty high but was quite well prepared so it made up for it a bit. The publican is not... More

I had the best fish, chips and salad here, not overloaded with chips. Beautiful looking over the marina. Little bit pricey for some of the dishes. It had a lovely wood heater to warm the room.Very relaxed meal and enjoyable company.

We have enjoyed our meals in this pub twice; and both times it was a very good dinner. They serve real pub menu such as angus burghers, well done, served with excellent fries and barbecue sauce, and wallaby sausages with mash and asparagus. The prices are very moderate and the portions are generous. The staff is more than friendly, I... More

We had a family & friends meal here recently. Service was friendly & fast. There is a vast choice on the menu both with food & drinks. As we were a large group, there were various things ordered. The chicken parmigianas were huge & not a complaint there. Other things ordered, that I recall - seafood platter (huge & delicious),... More

We enjoyed a lovely meal at Oyster Cove Inn with views overlooking the marina and towards Bruny island. I had the grilled Blue-Eyed Trevalla and my husband had the grilled Salmon. Both were beautifully prepared and delicious.

Stayed for 1 night January 2106. Situated about 40 minutes south of Hobart. The hotel was overlooking a spectacular boating marina. Just a beautiful seaside area. Room had a double and a single bed (which we requested). Very old style building with large verandah on top floor. Bed comfortable, no fans or air conditioning. Only option was to open the... More

We didn't expect to find affordable accommodation with lovely view of the boats on the bay. Old style hotel but rooms were clean and bar staff very welcoming. Also had access to old style verandah to enjoy the views or pubs deck. Next to bruny island ferry terminal for our trip next day

Extremely Overpriced, Understaffed and Rude On a Friday Night, after waiting over an hour for our meals, our entré orders came out with our mains. Apparently at the Oyster Cove Inn you must specify if your selection from the entré menu is indeed... an entré. It was a poor mistake and the two extremely rude waitress ladies who served us... We had a group of nine and everyone was happy with their meals. From traditional chicken parmies to an amazing vegetarian lasagne (and apparently the stuffed mushies were great too). Scallops available three different ways which makes a change from just crumbed. The servings were huge, our son had the seafood platter and whilst he demolished the lot it would... More
