This place was a destination in its own right. The owners were friendly. The decor not necessarily coherent but definitely interesting. The beds were ok except one which was at risk of collapse. We ate dinner here as well and it was surprisingly good. Not a polished place but fun to have had in our itinerary.

We were supprised in this tiny village to find such warm hospitality after a long drive especially on a Sunday afternoon. Nothing was too much trouble, had a lovely meal and a great nights sleep. Thanks

I had stayed at Hamilton Inn on 2 occasions years ago and was pleasantly surprised to see that it had changed little, other than having new owners. If you want character then this is the place to stay. The rooms are quaint and very comfortable and the bar area/restaurant great with the roaring log fire . But the best thing... More

We drove from Hobart to Cradle mountain this early morning and looked for some place for breakfast. Fortunately we found this place while all the others probably still in bed in this winter morning. It's on another side of road if u drive towards north and it's not beside main road, so please don't miss it when u pass by... More

Haven't stayed overnight yet but a great place for morning tea beside a wood fire. Best scones in Tasmania. Gina & John are wonderful hosts and some of the old antiques are truly fascinating, some I have never heard of. Looking f forward to another visit.

Do yourself a favour and spend a night at this quirky, relaxed, 19th century, clean and comfy Hotel when heading west from Hobart. John is a lovely guy who serves good food, even better coffee and likes a chat . Hope we get the chance to call in again. Jan and Bruce

Friendly warm and accomodating. Great antique furniture and memorabilia to browse through and purchase of you desire. Fresh cosy clean linen and a comfy bed. Rooms are small but goes with the era. We were very spoilt with plenty of attention. A great place to stay while padding through rural Tassie

Lovely old building in small quiet village. Our room was clean and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had two dogs with us and we left them in the car but dogs are welcome in their huge backyard. As the town is so small there is little to do but there is a pleasant walk along the... More

We were not fortunate enough to stay at the inn but we did have dinner in the pub/restaurant. I have no idea what the other reviewers were talking about but I fell in love with this place. The service was exceptional and the food was magnificent, we have been in Tas almost a week and it was the best meal... More
